About this vendor
Situated in Lawrence, KS, The W Banquet Hall is a wedding venue that features a rustic-elegant design. It is owned by Travis Fell and Marcie Hassinger, who met in culinary school. They have long dreamed of having their own venue and catering company. In 2022, this vision became a reality when they took over this locale, which was established in 2001 by Teresa and Garret Wolf. A few steps from Massachusetts Street, this banquet hall offers couples a space brimming with character. The architectural details help make it a picture-worthy backdrop for wedding celebrations.
After couples walk through the stone-front entrance of The W Banquet Hall, they will find exposed original wood ceilings in a rich tone, adorned with chandeliers. Under their feet will be a stained concrete floor, helping to create a blank canvas for the big day. In all, it has a historic feel to the space and up to 275 people can gather together here. This venue is flexible and suits weddings and receptions, as well as birthday parties, corporate events, and more.
Couples can enjoy a range of services offered by the team at The W Banquet Hall to help them curate their event. This includes catering, bar services, musical entertainment, linens, and more. The menu can be tailored to the couple's specific preferences, with the food crafted by Travis and Marcie's catering company, Just Fork It. They also offer an elopement-specific option for those looking to host a smaller event. Day-of coordination is available as well for your convenience.

The W Banquet Hall was perfect for our wedding. We used the hall as the place for our ceremony and reception, and the guests loved it. We had to change a lot of our wedding plans (...
due to COVID) multiple times, and Teresa was amazing throughout the whole process. She was very supportive, and I wouldn't have been able to get through the craziness of a COVID wedding without her. The hall is so beautiful, and I am so happy we picked the venue for our wedding.
Teresa is great to work with! Venue is pre decorated so all you need to worry about really is your table decor.

y to set up - only because nothing was booked for the day before without any extra charge which was amazing!! We looked around a variety of places in Lawrence, this was the only venue that could hold 250 guests, bring in own caterer and alcohol. The price was also the cheapest of any other venues we visited. Linens can be rented and they just added more rental options!! It is a beautiful space the perfect mesh of rustic and elegance!

xibility allowed us to be prepared for the reception early enough so that we didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day! The price was perfect, and the space is large enough to host a big party! I also loved how the chairs and tables are included! We also were able to bring in our own food, a huge plus when we wanted to have pizza for dinner!!!
