Our guests were unable to hear anything that was announced to the crowd, including the introductions, which made it difficult when walking out. Also he was very much involved with the crowd but did stray from some of the requests and did not play a handful of songs that my husband and i specifically requested. All in all very great experience!

He uses an app that the couple uploads their song requests and itinerary to which makes it easy to guarantee that each part of the reception is taken care of in the way you prefer. He will have you list all the songs you want for each category as a guide to the type of music you like. However, I would not stress about picking every single song because Derek does a great job recognizing the vibe of the crowd and adding some songs that might not be on the list. He played plenty of the songs we requested but also others that the guests seemed to get really excited about. He did an excellent job staying on track with the outlined schedule for the night as well but did not stress us out if we fell behind a little because we were having too much fun. He simply would come over to us and let us know where we were in the timeline to move things along. We initially picked Derek because of all of his prior experience, and we are so glad we did because he did not disappoint! It was so nice not having to worry about the party dying down when he was in control. In fact, the guests loved him so much that two engaged couples tried to book him for their upcoming weddings on the spot! You cannot go wrong if you book with The Wedding Coach for your special event!

He checked in with me and my wife multiple times during the evening to see if there was anything we needed and made sure we were ok with the volume of the music during dinner and the rest of the evening. He made sure not only me and my now wife were ready for each event but he announced everything so that everyone was aware what was going on and he checked in with our video and photographers so they were ready as well. o make our night perfect!! Many of our guests described the night as "epic"! After we opened the dance floor I can honestly say there wasn't a time when it was close to being empty. The music selection was exactly what we were looking for. My dad and I added a little twist to our father daughter dance. I sent Derek a video of an example of what we wanted to do and he made it happen without a hitch. We added some things the day of the wedding and an impromptu dance with my grandfather and he made the changes no questions asked. Played any song requests from guests. He worked well with our other vendors to ensure all the moments were captured perfectly. He is extremely professional and classy. The app we used to plan our songs and create a planning timeline is so easy to use and allowed both my husband and I to add what we wanted to hear throughout the night as well as the all the songs we wanted played at the special moments. I know this is a long review but trust me if you're looking for an amazing DJ to throw an amazing and EPIC party you will not be disappointed by hiring Derek aka The Wedding Coach!!!

The Photo Booth attendant was very friendly as well and made sure all of our guest were having fun inside the Photo Booth and he even kept the props very organized after each guests use to make it look clean and ready for our next guest. We highly recommended this company to any couples looking for a good service that it would not break your bank.
