Came recommended to Lexi’s team by two friends who also had an amazing first dance, and she and her team did not disappoint. Lexi was great at listening to our ideas, guiding our first dance song selection, and setting up our lessons; and Lauren was an amazing teacher for our lessons themselves - nice, patient, and so much fun for two very beginner dancers. We could not have been happier with the final product and we got quite a few compliments on the choreography and dance itself afterwards. Would recommend to anyone!

I have a Bachelors of Music and Dance from Chicago College of Performing Arts. I enjoy the creative aspect of choreographing just as much as I love teaching. I make sure that your dance reflects you and your partners unique energy and personality. I truly consider it a privilege that I get to contribute to a memory that will last you both a lifetime.

ible the experience was. From the moment we initially talked to Lexi for our consultation call, we knew we were in the right hands without a question! We were so excited to start our dancing journey!
Lexi’s expertise and patience with us - truly remarkable. We did a slow song with a surprise “hip hop number” in the middle - Lexi made the routine so good that all of guests kept talking about how this was the best “first dance ever!” Haha! She tailored the dance lessons to our skill level and our vision - making sure we felt comfortable and confident every step of the way. Her attention to detail is evident in every move and choreography she taught us.
Truly what sets Lexi apart from other dance instructors (in our opinion haha!), is not just her technical skill, but, her ability to connect with her students. She created such a warm and friendly environment, which made the learning process so enjoyable and stress-free. Lexi’s dedication to ensuring our performance was flawless and evident in every lesson.
When our wedding day finally arrived, we felt so much confidence that we surely attribute to our amazing wedding dance instructor. Our first dance was a showstopper, and to this day!! - we are still receiving compliments from our guests. It’s a moment that will be etched in our memories forever and we owe it all to Lexi!!

essons and then Ricardo was our instructor. He was very friendly, patient and talented. He remained flexible based on our strengths and weaknesses and helped us feel confident on the day. We have never laughed more than in our dance room after a long day of work. It became something to look forward to every week. She was great about collaborating with us to put together a dance that felt perfect as a representation of who we are as a couple.
My now-husband was initially nervous about our dance, and anxious over taking lessons. But Jess was so welcoming and made us feel so at ease (as if we were hanging out with a friend), and he had such a great time in our first lesson that going to lessons and practicing our dance quickly became one of the highlights of wedding planning for both of us.

My wife and I were lucky enough to have Lauren as our instructor and she helped us absolutely crush our first dance. She taught us important information for both the first dance, as well as moves we can use throughout the reception. By the end of our sessions, my wife and I were very confident in everything we needed to accomplish and we would've been lost without Lauren's guidance.
We couldn't imagine having our first dance without the help of The Wedding Dance Whisperer's team. I would recommend their services 10 times out of 10 regardless of your skill set. Thank you so much for everything!!!

lled dancers, yet Lauren was able to choreograph the most fun and impressive first dance. Something we really appreciated was how she adjusted the choreography to our skill level and feedback. Lauren also made sure that we learned how to adapt quickly if we missed a step or the band performaned at a different pace – both of which ended up happening at the wedding, yet it still looked flawless to our guests! So many of guests made a point to tell us it was their favorite first dance. When it came to scheduling, Lexi was flexible and made it easy to organize our lessons. A big bonus working with Lexi was having a dedicated studio space for our lessons (we did a trial at another vendor and found it so distracting to learn our dance at a shared space). In short, we couldn’t recommend working with Lauren and Lexi more!

From the beginning, I could tell that Lexi was the “up”, fun vibe that I needed for these lessons - and she and Lauren totally came through.
Lauren was a fantastic and talented teacher, but she was also amazingly fun and kind. My husband and I looked forward to classes and genuinely will miss having them (and want to take more just for fun). Lauren was even incredible with my dad when I brought him to her for our father daughter dance, which couldn’t have happened without her.
Both my slow dance with my husband and my fast dance with my dad knocked it out of the park - all of our guests were obsessed.
If you’re looking to learn and have fun throughout it, this team is a must.

mories amongst the wedding planning craziness. She was so kind, upbeat, and encouraging and made our 1st dance more memorable then we ever could’ve imagined.
She choreographed steps and moves based on both our abilities as well as what the song allowed for, and then exceeded expectations! We went to her thinking we’d learn a twirl or 2 but left with dips, lifts, twirls and some of the most romantic bachatas mixed in between. The best part was, the pace allowed for us to show off our moves (my dress) and get some incredible photography, while still taking in every magical moment.
Our guests were amazed and our wedding parties jaws-dropped. We cannot wait to see the final photos, videos, and cannot thank Lexi/recommend enough!!!

When it became clear that we needed a different instructor, I immediately thought of The Wedding Dance Whisperer and reached back out. Lexi embraced us with open arms. She was kind, caring, and clearly genuinely interested in getting to know us and what sort of instructional approach would work for us. She intuitively understood what we were looking for and paired us with Lauren. This could not have been a more perfect fit. Lauren is incredibly talented and multifaceted. She put us completely at ease and made our lessons accessible and fun with her patient and compassionate approach and her gentle touch. Her enthusiasm for dance is contagious, and she will meet any client where they're at without judgment and with infinite kindness. It has been an absolute joy to work with her. She picked up our routine with no questions asked and restored our love of our first dance as well as our confidence with the process. We have had so much fun practicing with Lauren that it only took one or two lessons for us to know without doubt that we did not want to stop learning dance with her. We bought a package of lessons and have continued to dance with Lauren beyond our wedding. Yes...you can learn how to dance! And virtually too!! We wanted a wedding dance, choreographed to our song. Other in person "dance studios" tried to sell us huge dance packages and...
told us it wasn't possible. Lexi proved them wrong!! She is fun, focused, patient and a great teacher. We had a lesson once a week for about 6 weeks, we practiced in between, and on our big day we nailed it! Highly recommend!!

ted, which was more of a musical theatre vice, and delivered a dance that we could do (very beginner). He gave Casey the confidence to perform a lift and we had so much fun with him every week. Highly recommend.

outine in just a few short weeks. Lauren was great at starting us off with some fundamentals and Ricardo took us home for the rest of our lessons. I really felt like both of them heard what we wanted with our specific track and what we wanted to show our family and friends. Their teaching style was also super easy to understand and pick up, which was a huge win for two non-dancers!

pretty nervous in the beginning but she had us laughing and letting loose pretty much immediately. We both actually know how to dance now! And gained a life long friend in Lexi. If you’re on the fence, consider this your sign that she is worth every penny and then some.

across Lexi’s profile online. Her fantastic reviews made us confident in our decision to book with her. Before we started, we had a quick Zoom call with Lexi, and we instantly loved her energy and personality. Although Lexi wasn’t the one teaching us directly, she paired us with Lauren, one of her talented dancers.
Over the course of six weeks, Lauren worked with us, starting with the basics and gradually moving into more advanced choreography. By the time we were ready for our final routine, we couldn’t have been happier. Lexi was fantastic throughout the entire process, always accommodating and ensuring we were well taken care of. However, Lauren was the true gem. Her joyful personality, teaching technique, and fun-loving demeanor made the experience unforgettable. Even now, we often reminisce about how much fun we had learning from her.
The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Should we ever decide to take up recreational dance lessons, Lexi and Lauren will be our first choice without hesitation. We absolutely love and adore them both, and we highly recommend them! Easily 5 stars!
