When my (now) wife and I were looking for a wedding DJ in Chico, Chris was recommended to us by literally every venue, vendor, and coordinator we talked to. When originally looking at vendors for our wedding date, he unfortunately wasn't available and we had to go with another DJ company. Luckily however, we checked with him again only a few months before our date to see if he had any additional availability, and by a stroke of luck and some fortuitous timing, our wedding date had just opened up on his schedule. Based off the incredible reputation of Chris and the Wedding DJ Company, my wife and I made the decision to cancel our previous booking with the other company (and pay that vendor's cancellation fee), and hope that Chris and team lived up to the hype.
And I can say, WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, that they absolutely do.
Chris's professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail were top notch. He worked with us and our coordinator throughout the planning process, and the music planning packet he sent out was incredibly helpful to ensure that everyone was on the same page. He did such a great job at our event, and we received so many comments from our wedding guests complimenting the job that Chris did as the MC and DJ for both our ceremony and reception. I will absolutely recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a wedding DJ.
There are few things in life that are universally recommended that live up to the hype. Chris at The Wedding DJ Company absolutely does; he is the LeBron James of Chico-area wedding DJs.
Chris was incredible. He is hands-down the best DJ in Butte County. Incredibly professional and does an excellent job and helping things transition smoothly. Couldn't recommend enough. Book him before he is full!!
My husband and I got married in Chico on May 13th and we used The Wedding DJ Company. Chris Frankovich was our DJ/MC for the night and we truly can not say enough amazing things or recommend him/this company enough. The communication leading up to our wedding was amazing, I would receive an email reply within the same day of reaching out. As a busy bride planning a large wedding, this made me feel so at ease and taken care of all the time. Every request that I had or small tweak I wanted to make, Chris was more than happy to accommodate and with a smile on his face as well. He allowed us to make our entire own playlist on Spotify, which was fun to be able to pick our own songs for the night. Chris also sent over a very lengthy and comprehensive DJ packet, which was very detailed and ensured that we did not miss a step when it came to the flow of our wedding. Chris was high energy the entire night, kept the crowd engaged and having fun and was such a joy to have at our wedding. I would 10/10 recommend The Wedding DJ Company!
Chris Frankovich was the best DJ we could have asked for! Chris made our day flow perfectly and his song selection was great! He has a wedding planner tool that was really helpful as well! My husband and I actually attended a wedding that Chris was the DJ about 5 years ago and we decided that day he had to be our DJ when we got married because he was so great! Throughout the process, Chris was professional, responsive, and very helpful!
We had the absolute pleasure of having Chris set the mood for our wedding. Chris was the DJ at my brothers wedding and my husband and I just feel in love with him, so we knew we needed to have him for our special day. Chris made our day so special to us. Chris is an absolute pleasure to work with from the start to the glorious last song of your wedding. He is passionate about his work and puts everything into it. He has some great forms to work with and I recommend filling out the forms as soon as possible. It will help you determine the flow of your event and what is important to you. Chris has done a lot of weddings and you can trust him to know what works. He knows what music the crowd will like more than you do, hands down. You get what you put into the forms and what you request of Chris, he will follow through with a great personality and keep the energy high in your event. He is also very responsive to anything you ask of him. He even took some pictures and a video at our wedding to share with us and we love them.
Chris is an amazing DJ! He is easy to get in contact with and provides tools to make your wedding day easier. I highly recommend him, he knows how to get guests on the dance floor and keeps them there.

My fiancé and I loved his 1:1 approach to creating our wedding “soundtrack” and the care he gave to our special day. From the custom wedding music planner, quick responses to emails and our personal meet up, you could tell he loves what he does. He had us both laughing and feeling at ease on the lead up to the big day, knowing he would come through and create a seamless day…and deliver he did!!! I cannot say enough good things about Chris. He was the DJ for our wedding and we can’t thank him enough. I chose some general music categories and I loved all of his music selection. I had the best time seeing what song was coming next during dinner. We had a small wedding but the reception seemed like a huge party because he did an amazing job with the atmosphere. We used his audio set up for the ceremony as well and the microphones were small and discreet while being very clear. Chris was kind enough to send me all of the audio files and even bonus pictures he took throughout the night. I’m so glad we hired Chris and you will be too! I can’t imagine anybody else DJ’ing for us.
My husband and I are so happy that we had Chris as the MC/DJ for our wedding!! Chris has been so great throughout the whole wedding process along with multiple postponements due to COVID. He was so flexible and understanding, which we are so grateful for. He did an amazing job during the reception, he read the crowd very well and I’m pretty sure I have never danced so much before in one night. He was even out on the dance floor for a couple of songs! He took the time to meet in person and was easy to communicate and work with. His goal was making sure you feel special on your wedding day and that everything runs smoothly. Hands down, the best DJ you will find in the Northern CA area! We heard about Chris through many of our friends and family who also had him at their wedding — and at each one we’ve been completely amazed with his work! He took the time to meet with us beforehand and talk about our music styles, likes, dislikes, etc. and he also gave us advice and walked us through how the day would go. We got so many compliments on how smoothly the whole wedding ceremony and reception flowed, and it was all thanks to Chris! He knows just the right time to play the perfect song or engage the crowd. We were so impressed and thankful we had Chris Frankovich DJ our wedding! Chris had us complete a thorough questionnaire and music list so he could get an idea of what type of music we liked and to make sure all our favorite/requested songs were ready to be played. He did exactly that! Every song we wanted to be played got played! We had so many guests tell they loved the music choices!!
Most importantly, Chris kept the party going and had both the old and the young dancing throughout the night. We are so thankful we hired Chris! Do yourself a favor and book him early!!
Chris with The Wedding DJ Company was absolutely amazing! With the pandemic we had to change our plans multiple times, as well as changing our reception location 2 weeks before the wedding. He was so easy to work with and the communication was flawless. He is very detailed and wants to make sure he plays the music you want! He made everything look absolutely amazing with the uplighting at the reception. The music and speakers worked perfect at our beach ceremony as well. We were getting compliments all night from our guests about how great he was. He kept things going even when we were a little off schedule. He made sure everyone had fun and danced all night! We found Chris online through yelp, and he had so many great reviews. We figured it was probably a safe bet that he’d be good, so we booked our wedding.
We met with him before the wedding and we talked about music we like and bands we enjoy. He really genuinely took the time to get to know our tastes and what we were hoping to hear that day.
He also has an incredibly thorough music planner that you’re able to fill out, so if you have specific songs for ANYTHING he makes it happen. He made us feel important and made sure the day fit our vision.
Jump to day-of. Chris was there early setting up & chacking his equipment to ensure everything went smoothly. & he was a GREAT MC during the reception. He kept things on schedule for dinner, cake, roasts, dancing, etc & had really fun ways to encourage people to get up and dance.

Wow. Chris really went above and beyond for our wedding and we could not have been happier with his work. His music selection process is intuitive and easy and he will walk you through every second of the wedding timeline until you’re positive everything is perfect. We couldn't have been happier with Chris and his team! From the first meeting (he accommodated us by meeting via FaceTime since we were planning our wedding from San Diego) we could tell that he was going to be great. Chris is very organized and detailed which put us at ease as we were planning the big day. His event planning forms helped us with planning the entire day. The DJ was one thing that we knew we wouldn't have to stress about. He worked wonderfully with our planner, photographer, caterer, and even helped out the amateur video guy that we had. Chris did great at the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner. He had a good feel for the type of music that we wanted based off of the few songs we requested and kept the timeline of the day moving perfectly. When it came time for dancing he absolutely nailed it! He had the dance floor full from the first song to the last, and always had the perfect song playing. We got so many comments from our guests about how they have never seen a dance floor at a wedding that never had a down moment. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. I recommend The Wedding DJ to anyone that will listen. If Chris or one of his other DJ's is available for your event you would be crazy to book someone else. 11 out of 10!!!
The Wedding DJ Company was the first vendor we talked to at the Chico Wedding Show. At the end of that conversation, we had decided that they were exactly what we wanted for our day. Chris Frankovich, the owner, was our MC/DJ. His professional and upbeat manner from that first day was seen throughout the entire process leading up to wedding and on the day of. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Chris' attention to detail and enthusiasm made our wedding not only smooth-sailing, but an absolute blast. The sound quality for both the ceremony and the reception was top notch; no complaints from our family that they couldn't hear. There have been endless comments from our friends and family on how awesome our DJ was and how much fun they had. The fun we had that night on the dance floor has become an amazing memory and I'm looking forward to watching it through our videography in the years to come. Thank you!
Chris was absolutely amazing. He stayed in constant contact with us throughout our planning. He is super nice and easy to work with. They charge by the day and not by the hour which was amazing. Words cannot express how thankful we are to have had Chris at our reception! He did an amazing job at keeping the timeline and making me feel ZERO stress about how the night was going. We only chose two songs that we wanted to be played and left him with the task of doing the rest and he chose perfectly. He was so flexible and happy to just go with the flow instead of the typical perfectly scripted reception and it was great!

Chris Jensen DJ'd our wedding 10/8/2016 and he did a fantastic job. Words cannot express how thankful I am for him being able to come out. I originally had booked a different DJ, but he cancelled on me the WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING. Luckily Chris was available and got the contract out and all the info, he even matched the price I had agreed to with the flake DJ. I think Chris worked out much better than the flake DJ would have honestly. He even threw in the uplighting for no charge and it was absolutely beautiful! Everyone loved him and I am still hearing from guests what a great time they had and how the DJ rocked it! He really did. From coordinating everything so it ran smoothly and efficiently to some pretty awesome song choices. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding. I don't think my wedding could've gone any better! Thank you Chris!! :)
Chris was awesome!!! He was outgoing, fun, and organized. We didn't play the "traditional" wedding songs walking down the aisle and he did such a great job seamlessly merging the music. His timing was perfect. He kept the flow of our wedding going and knew exactly what to say during the reception and speeches. And then... he kept the dance party going until 12am! Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him!

We were THRILLED with Jackson as our wedding DJ. He was so friendly and personable, yet also incredibly professional and helpful during both the wedding planning and the actual event itself. He definitely went the extra mile to make sure my husband and I were happy with our wedding DJ services, and at one point he even ran to get us water as we were greeting all our guests. It was a simple gesture that meant a lot. Jackson was able to create an awesome playlist that perfectly fit our theme and the mood of the party, and people were dancing until the very last song was played. Overall, the Wedding DJ Company was easy to work with and were priced very competitively for their services, and we would highly recommend them (especially Jackson!) to any and all future couples!
Chris was amazing! From the first time we met in person to book the event date and got started on planning to the last song of the night on our wedding day he made everything seem so easy! He was super easy to talk to and very personable. The Wedding DJ provides an awesome book that literally helps you plan the wedding night from start to finish and includes small things that may be forgotten. Chris was very professional to work with. He responded to every email leading up to the wedding promptly, called two days before the wedding to make sure we had a plan B if it rained for him to set up and finalized his last questions for the big day, and communicated with the wedding coordinator the day of the wedding so I didn't have anything to worry about! The music was awesome, he played everything we asked for and made the transitions between the wedding events seamless! I would definitely recommend this company and DJ Chris for any wedding!

Chris just recently DJed our wedding in April. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He was so professional and kind and provided some humor to our reception. Huge hit with all our guests. He made the reception so much fun, from the shoe game to the bouquets and garter toss and to getting people on the dance floor. The ceremony also flowed perfectly with his arranged music. The up lighting truly added to our barn reception and enhanced the beauty. And the dance floor was perfect for getting people out there dancing. We recently had Chris as our DJ at our Chico wedding and he was amazing! My husband and I wanted someone who we could trust to basically run the show at our reception so we didn't have to think or worry about what events were supposed to happen when. We wanted to just be able sit back and enjoy the day. Chris did exactly that, he worked and coordinated with all of our other vendors to make sure the reception ran smoothly and I don't think it could have been better! My husband and I were able to fully enjoy every moment of the reception knowing that we had someone we could trust to run the show. Chris is an awesome host and he kept everyone dancing for hours! He's great at reading the crowd and knowing just what songs to play to keep people out of their seats and on the dance floor. He even coordinated a little skit with my husband during the garter toss which came as a complete surprise to me but absolutely hilarious! We used the wedding DJ in Chico California midsummer, for our country style outdoor wedding at a ranch. Chris was super easy to talk to, get a hold of, and definitely listened when it came to the style of music and see i wanted for the ceremony and reception! We had him do the ceremony and reception along with a dance floor and I'm so glad we did. We didn't have to worry about music starting or microphones or speakers, he had it all and I gave him the day of timeline which I gave all my vendors and he helped keep things moving during the reception. For the price I don't think you can do better! The quality of customer service and day of service provided was perfect! Thank you Chris and The Wedding DJ for helping make my wedding so amazing!

Chris is AMAZING. I could not have picked a better DJ. He always immediately responds to emails, effortlessly deals with crazy bride requests, and makes you feel like you are the only bride in the world. The first reason that I picked him was the packet he gave me upon our first meeting. He is so insanely organized that it immediately calmed me.
For a reception to be successful you need good food, good beer, and good music. The Wedding DJ definitely rocked the good music.
He's also the reason that all of the reception events went off without a hitch.

Chris, the owner, was super accommodating. We hired for a wedding in South Lake Tahoe and he did an amazing job. He provided music, dance lighting, and up lighting for our ceremony and reception. Chris's planner is so helpful to setting up the flow of your wedding and picking songs for things you didn't even know you needed to pick songs for (cutting the cake? You need a song for that??) He was a great host and kept the evening flowing just the way we wanted it. He even won over some of the single ladies with his charm and good looks (he is married). I highly recommend his for your wedding, because he ONLY does weddings.
