The joy I get from making brides happy either before their big day with coordinating their alterations or helping with getting the gown just right with some finishing touches is immeasurable. ization done to my dress in LA. I was really worried about handing over the dress and appliques and hoping I'd get what I envisioned, but I was in the best hands with Moufida. She made me feel so comfortable at the first fitting, took time to ask me questions and make sure I understood the process, and then made me the most gorgeous and perfectly fitting dress. It was better than I ever imagined. I had three appointments in total - one at the Beverly Hills location and two in Santa Monica - and all were great. Yosr is super helpful and responsive when booking, and she was the best hype woman at my appointments! I often struggle to advocate for what I want at appointments like this, and this was no exception, but Yosr and Moufida reminded me to give feedback and ask for exactly what I wanted. At my last appointment, they even helped me FaceTime my mom so she could be there with me, and we all bonded over that experience. They made me feel like a dream on my wedding day, and more importantly made me feel really confident throughout the process. brought in my mom’s 71 year old wedding gown after unpacking it and realizing it had never been preserved. We wanted to honor my mom’s memory and somehow incorporate her dress in her grandson’s wedding. But sadly it was unusable (stains, mold) until Yosr and her team worked their magic and love. And now the dress is beautiful -looking perfect. The embroidered flowers, the taffeta etc were perfect. I will admit I cried when she brought out the dress. I even brought in a picture of my parents in their wedding day to show Yosr. If I could I would give Yosr and Wedding Gown Specialists 10 or 100 stars. ing gown. This company services through Door-to-Door Valet Cleaners, which made it possible for me to bring my dress into a store closer to me. I had a trumpet gown needing the following alterations: adding a bustle, taking in the bodice slightly, and adding detachable off-the-shoulder straps. I brought in my dress a little over a month before I was leaving for my spring destination wedding. At my first appointment, the seamstress was very communicative about how she would perform the alterations, offering how she would need to modify a lining in the skirt and train for the dress to lie well with and without the bustle buttoned. She had me come in twice after my initial visit to ensure the alterations were up to my expectations, and they were on top of changes we needed to make. The only oversight was they initially made the straps permanent after documenting at my first appointment to make them detachable, but it was a fast and easy fix before I picked it up the following week. Everyone I worked with onsite and over the phone was incredibly kind and eager to help. Their prices are fair and timing was great! I highly recommend Yosr and her team :) I also brought my dress back after the wedding for cleaning which was a breeze. If I choose to preserve it, I will definitely bring it back!

Moufida told me on the day we came in for the first time: "It's definitely a project, but we're ready." They invited me and my mother-in-law to meet with them several times in-store during the process to ensure that it was progressing in the way I envisioned. They not only had to use skill and precision, but their own creativity and understanding of style to make suggestions I wouldn't have thought of myself. And, they tended carefully to my special requests - such as the option to wear the lace sleeves, making them detachable but removing the outdated puffy 80's shoulders. Yosr's communication throughout the process only amplified the experience. She called me right away, very shortly after we sent in our initial inquiry. And, she texted back-and-forth with me as needed through the process. You can trust Yosr and Moufida with your cherished garment. This dress is one of the last physical items I have of my mother. It means everything to me. They understood that and took such incredible care with it. It looked and felt amazing. They even added additional embellishments, such as crystals to the back of the dress. Look no further if you are planning to wear a vintage garment that needs redesigning, incredible cleaning (by the way, it smelled AMAZING after it was cleaned), personalized care to the highest degree.

She got back to me right away and assured me that she would take care of my dress. She truly went the extra mile, making sure it was delivered to her rapidly, and returning it to me a few days before I left. She not only cleaned my dress but also, pressed it and hung it specially for me (in special wrapping) so to preserve it's freshness on the plane, overseas. e Wedding Gown Specialist…. I should have gone here first. My dress was done being tailored about two weeks before my wedding. The same day it was finished I knew I had to drop it off somewhere to be cleaned (it was a sample and had been on the rack for a minute). I researched around and went to a place in Pico-Roberston. TBH it had great reviews, but when I brought my dress to this place, I had a bad feeling in my stomach. It came time to pick up my dress and they didn’t have it on the pick up day. Went back a few days later to get my dress and it was horrifying. My silk wedding dress had turned yellow and it was so dirty still…AND with new marks now. I was devastated. Streaks all down the front. I freaked out and got home to figure out what to do; called a million places. And THANK GOD Yosr answered her phone at about 8 PM that night. I trusted her immediately, within the first minute of our phone call. I drove her my dress that night. She met me outside her store in Brentwood and kept me updated over the course of the next 36 hours. She was also horrified by how the dress looked, but said she felt confident she could do something about it. And she did! My dress looks incredible!! I cried when she called me to tell me she fixed it lol. She cleared out all the dirt and streaks. It looks basically new. Unfortunately the people that did my dress the 1st time stained it yellow in some spots, but Yosr was able to get those out about 70% making them nearly unnoticeable. Truly a miracle worker. 100% take your dress to her to get cleaned or fixed in any way! She has such a comforting and calming energy about her and I really would trust her with any of my clothing. I’m so thankful!

She did point out that there was a layer of dust/dirt on my dress that would benefit from a normal cleaning, which I didn't realize until she pointed it out. After seeing it cleaned, she was 1000% right. Yosr could sense my anxiety around putting my dress through a cleaning process before wearing it for my actual wedding. time (2 weeks) before my wedding. My dress was all lace with lining with 60cm train. The back of the dress had a large keyhole cutout. Yosr and Wendy were not only talented but so very kind. They were sympathetic and optimistic about the situation. They knew I was short on time so they did everything very quickly and aimed for perfection. They could have easily fixed what they could and sent me on my way, but instead they made sure I was happy with everything and gave me plenty of time to try on my dress and really think about the alterations. Major issues with the dress (all were production issues): 1) My lining was misaligned and 2) the dress was at least one size too big for me. Minor alterations: 1) add belt and 2) add bustle. Solutions: The major issues required a lot of planning on Wendy and Yosr's part. I think I was there for an hour for them (that is how careful and detailed they are!). Lace had to be trimmed and lace details had to be carefully removed and added back. Lining was misaligned so lining had to be taken out on the sides and lace had to be cut to accommodate the realignment. Because the dress was at least one size larger than me, the entire dress had to be scaled down which is not an easy feat when it's an all lace dress. The back dress panel went beyond my shoulders. I wanted a belt added on because I have a long torso. Usually adding a belt is not a big deal but because of the large keyhole back and my long torso, they brilliantly added white hooks (similar to bra hooks) to the belt and dress. I highly recommend anyone (bride to be or not) that are in need to alterations to see Yosr and Wendy. They can handle any issues with skill and kindness.

r dress tended to BEFORE your wedding, I'm sure Yasr and The Wedding Gown Specialist is amazing. However, if you're going to them to have your dress cleaned and preserved, I write this review as an insight. It took The Wedding Gown Specialist 1 year, almost to the day, to get my wedding dress back to me. 3 times I called to see the update, after having been quoted that it could take up to 4 months for the process. In full honesty, I thought that they lost my dress. Understandably, Yasr gives priority to dresses that are going to be used for a wedding soon. Always, Yasr uses a freshly cleaned machine and process, with brand new solution, so that there is no potential cross contamination. Just, as a result, my dress was continually pushed back to later and later. So, while the final product is great, you must have a great deal of patience to know that you probably will wait well beyond the assumed time frame.

ised. I am very glad that you’re happy with the end result and the quality of our work. Oftentimes a wedding gown will take multiple cleanings and different cleaning methodologies to get the dress to as near perfect condition as possible. We have to be VERY cautious in the cleaning process, because unlike regular garments, a wedding gown is not made to withstand cleaning multiple times, the construction is a lot weaker than regular garments. What you mentioned above that we give priority to pre wedding gown brides as obviously they have a timeline to meet and as a result post wedding services do tend to get delayed. There are many reasons why your particular gown and preservation was delayed and I really don’t want to sound like an excuse factory here, please accept my sincerest apology and we will definitely make amends to our communication process with our clientele. It is feedback from clients and constructive criticism like yours that makes us better at what we do. I really felt like they cared about me and my wedding ! They did it on such a fast time and were so flexible and moved things around to meet me near where I lived, went out of their way to take such good care of me! I am so grateful for them and their love and kindness! And not only that but I got my dress pressed and cleaned before the wedding and also his whole outfit! But then, only four days before my wedding, I decided to try it on again and got make up on it! I was devastated. I called Yasr to see if she had any suggestions on how to get the make up stains out, and to my amazement, she told me to bring the dress in. Not only did she perform a second cleaning for free to get the make up stains out, but she returned the dress to me the very next day. I was completely blown away by her kindness and efficiency. The owner/Manager helped my with any concerns I had. I told them exactly what I wanted and they delivered . My mother’s dress was ready when they said it would be for alterations and the pick up date was on time . Virginia was the one that altered the dress she was kind, friendly and was able to put me at ease . I did not want to make many changes to my mothers dress I even want it the original buttons saved and Virginia listen to me and execute . I am very happy and satisfied with this company and I would refer them and use them again . The owner called me to make sure I was satisfied with everything . I even sent her pictures and everyone just love the dress . Thank you for handling my mother’s dress. And the look on my Dad’s face when he saw me in my mother’s wedding dress. the designer a a few weeks before the wedding it wasn't quite right. The shop owner recommended Yosa to me and said Door to Door is the only place they trust with their sample dresses. Yosa took great care of me and helped me coordinate my drop off asap and set me up with Virginia to do alterations. Virginia was super patient with fittings and didn't stop til it was right, even on a tight deadline. I felt very comfortable bringing it back to them to do the cleaning and they got every stain out and quicker than expected. Overall a great experience and they understood how important this dress would be to me. I've already recommended them to my sister in law who is getting married in a few months!

I had 5 fittings over the course of 4 months and am therefore grateful for the expertise. The folks at Door to Door are super precise and careful With the Whole process guaranteeing you are happy With the alterations each step of the Way. My dress needed a last minute fix due to my changing mind and they Were so gracious to Work With me until the dress fit exactly as I Wanted. il I had to wear it again for the second part of my wedding that we were going to do in my home country, the next year). I had found them online after a research for the best cleaning-preservation companies in the area but also with affordable prices, as a wedding dress is obviously something you care a lot about and want to be sure isn’t going to be damaged. My dress was notably quite dirty at the bottom and missing some beads. Once cleaned, my dress was like brand new, pure ivory, and they did an awesome job replacing the missing beads with the ones I provided. I discovered during the process that I was pregnant and therefore wasn’t sure that I would be able to wear my dress again. I talked to Yosr, who was my main contact, and she was understanding, amazing and so helpful !! She talked to her boss and they managed to find a solution to alter my dress so I could wear it again !! I was so relieved and happy (one thing off the list!)! I met Virginia, their wonderful seamstress in Door to Door Cleaners in Beverly Hills, and she found a way to extend the dress. I therefore came back just two weeks before my wedding abroad, so it could fit me at the best with my stomach growing and she did a fabulous job !! It was absolutely perfect, keeping the style of the dress and just opening at the right places ! Price for alteration was completely correct too. I couldn’t have been happier, especially as it was important to me to wear the same dress at both weddings. They also help me by giving me the dress back on an hanger and well protected so I could travel with it in the plane (in cabin). It arrived perfectly after the travel and I therefore didn’t had to do any steaming, it was ready to wear!! Now back in LA, I gave back my dress for cleaning and final preservation and since I had already started the preservation process the first time (their box is beautiful), Yosr got me a great discount, which was so appreciated and kind. Everyone at Door to Door Cleaners have been so nice, efficient and amazing during the whole process, I couldn’t recommend them more for the cleaning and preservation of your wedding dress (and alteration if needed) !!! I will definitely use them for other services in the future.

ontacted Door To Door Cleaners and went to their shop. They just didn't waste any time, took all the details about my needs and got started. As I needed my job done quickly, they stayed late to get it done. All this was done at a fairly reasonable price. They are extremely knowledgeable regarding bridal gown alterations. They were sure about the work that should have been done to the dress and could persuade me to do the greater part of the right things when I was somewhat uncertain. The bridal gown worked out perfectly, I was super confident and got many compliments on the bridal gown. I must say, these are very friendly and dedicated people. They really care about their customers and attain their needs fast. I felt very comfortable working with them! She made me feel comfortable and beautiful and tailored the dress wonderfully. I was nervous because I had decided to change the neckline of the dress to sweetheart, and since I'm only 5'1 the dress had to be shortened dramatically. My dress was covered in hand-appliqued lace with a scalloped bottom, I have no clued how she altered it so seamlessly, but she did! The only negative thing was that my alterations cost over $750... I knew this in advance, but still felt it was a little pricey considering I had no choice but to make the alterations. A lovely experience and very much so recommended!

ud and water stains. I was originally promised 8 weeks for the cleaning and it actually took closer to 12 weeks because they were back logged and couldn't finish the dress in time as promised. This was communicated to me in the beginning as the dress was in really bad condition and I was told they may need to clean it repeatedly to take out the ground in dirt. I wasn't expecting it to be perfect but I was floored when I recently picked up the gown, it looked BRAND NEW, I'm not really sure how they did it or what they did but it was pure ivory just like the rest of the gown and you cannot even tell that before it was cleaned it was a dark brown train ! Will try and put up a picture on here if I can figure it out. These guys are awesome but they are pricey & take their time, but do the job and do it well.
