wedding, I was repeatedly told by the bride and others close to her that the event had surpassed expectations and felt like a dream. Hearing the wedding described as “10 out of 10” at the time makes the tone and characterization of this review particularly difficult to reconcile with the actual experience and outcome of the event. I also find it deeply unfair that the review attempts to portray me as disorganized or “all over the place,” when in reality I was the person holding together an extremely complex, last-minute full wedding pivot involving countless vendors, logistics, timelines, production elements, transportation coordination, and multiple locations. If anything, I remained the steady point throughout a situation that was constantly changing and evolving. I do have extensive documentation of the planning process, communications, redesign work, timelines, vendor coordination, and the immense amount of labor that went into executing this wedding after the yacht pivot — a major circumstance that is notably absent from the review itself. At the end of the day, I remained loyal, committed, and fully invested in making this wedding extraordinary despite immense pressure and challenges behind the scenes. I believe the final event reflected that dedication, and I trust prospective clients will draw their own conclusions after reviewing the many other experiences clients and vendors have shared about working with me. While I normally do not engage in lengthy public rebuttals, this review is such a significant misrepresentation of the work, care, and extraordinary effort that went into this wedding that I feel it is important to provide factual context for future clients reading this. First, to clarify the financial portion: my original planning fee for this wedding was $5,000, and I extended a $500 courtesy discount, bringing the total to $4,500. We had to pivot from a yacht wedding to a land wedding and completely plan a new wedding when the yacht was not finished in time. At that point, I had to reinstate a new planning contract and fee to plan a completely new wedding, which was another $5,000. The bride did not want to pay me to replan it but ultimately did. Communication toward me became increasingly disrespectful after that, which my team also witnessed. However, the replan we pulled off just over a month before the wedding was an extraordinary accomplishment under the circumstances and could not have happened without hours and hours of extreme dedication to put an entirely new wedding into place. Which is exactly what I did. Not only was it successful, but according to the bride, mother of the groom, and many others, even more spectacular in terms of the design we executed. So for her to diminish and disrespect my work to simply “day-of coordination” is simply inaccurate. I logged over 400 hours in that month before the wedding, hired extra team members, got on call after call with vendors, and remained extremely dedicated despite the circumstances to make it happen. Because that is who I am. The original event we were planning was a luxury yacht wedding. For many months, that was the focus of the planning process, and extensive work had already been completed around that vision. Unfortunately, the yacht experienced multiple delays throughout the process. After the third major delay, I strongly advised implementing a contingency plan because I knew the timeline was becoming increasingly risky. At that stage, I explained that creating an entirely separate land-based luxury wedding — while simultaneously continuing to hope the yacht would be completed — would effectively require planning two weddings. That recommendation was declined at the time. Ultimately, approximately one month before the wedding, it became clear that the yacht would not be available. At that point, I immediately shifted into crisis-management mode and began contacting venues throughout Naples and Marco Island. As expected during peak season, many venues were already booked. We were incredibly fortunate to secure space at the JW Marriott Marco Island, and from there, an enormous amount of compressed planning, redesign, logistics, vendor coordination, production management, and execution had to happen in an exceptionally short amount of time. Within roughly four weeks, I coordinated and orchestrated: • A complete venue pivot from yacht to luxury resort • Multiple event locations between Naples and Marco Island • Church ceremony logistics • Guest transportation and shuttle coordination • A large-scale ballroom production • Outdoor cocktail reception design and flow • Vendor sourcing, management, and communication across numerous teams • Rental coordination • Layouts and floorplans • Timeline reconstruction • Floral coordination • Entertainment logistics • Load-in/load-out management • Staffing adjustments and additional hired support • Design implementation for the European coastal garden aesthetic the bride requested • Extensive late-night and early-morning communication to ensure the event could still happen at a high level despite the circumstances Anyone experienced in luxury event production understands that executing a full-scale wedding redesign within a month requires an extraordinary amount of labor, coordination, expertise, and pressure management. The additional fee reflected the substantial increase in workload, staffing, hours, and scope after the original plan fundamentally changed. I would also like to briefly address the comment regarding my mistakenly calling the groom “Christian” rather than “Christopher.” His name is Chris, and in one moment I misspoke. It was an honest human error during an extraordinarily high-pressure production environment involving countless moving parts, vendors, timelines, and logistics. I would also like to clarify that when Margaret referenced the loss of her father, I responded by sharing that I, too, had lost my father a few years earlier. It was never intended to diminish her grief, but rather to empathize with her during an emotional moment and let her know I understood loss personally. Throughout this process, I consistently extended grace, empathy, and an extraordinary amount of effort under very difficult circumstances. While there were many moments during planning where communication toward me felt unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful, I still remained committed to seeing the wedding through successfully and professionally. Most importantly, on the wedding day itself, I was repeatedly told the event was a dream. The celebration that ultimately took place was beautiful, emotional, and successful — especially considering the immense challenges and timeline constraints surrounding the yacht situation. I stand very confidently behind the quality of my work, my professionalism, and my dedication to my clients. I also encourage prospective clients to read the many other reviews that consistently reflect the level of care, organization, communication, and commitment I bring to every event and most of these reviews are, contrary to her implication, full service coordination. And sometimes, despite all of that, your name is still misunderstood. Your heart is questioned. Your efforts are dismissed. People remember what went wrong before they remember the thousand things you quietly held together. And I think most planners will understand this deeply, because the weight we carry is unique. We are expected to absorb stress from every direction while still remaining calm, polished, gracious, and composed for everyone around us. We carry timelines, emotions, logistics, family dynamics, vendor coordination, emergencies, and expectations all at once… while making it all look effortless. But maybe that’s why I relate so deeply to God’s heart. Because even in a world overflowing with beauty, miracles, blessings, and grace… people still forget to say thank you. They still only call on Him when they need something. They still question Him while benefiting from everything He created.
