e the dress from the designer I wanted, they got the designer to design a veil exactly matching my brief (and when the designer messed up, Ron ensured he went back and fought on my behalf, and got me the breathtaking veil I envisioned). The dress and veil: there’s NO one who saw them and didn’t oooh and ahhh. They’re objectively stunning, and while the credit goes to the designer, Ron and his team ensured the alterations were perfect so the dress fit me like a glove. Customer service: from Ron and Milly (whom I constantly wanted to hug), to the rest of the wonderful staff, to the seamstresses (Adelma is the one who worked with me the most, and she’s a legend), the whole experience felt like a giant hug. I have incredibly high standards, and Ron and his team met them all. I had a unique situation in that I came from out of state, and Ron promised (and delivered), that if I come to New York for three days, I’d do ALL the alterations AND take the dress all in the span of 3 days. AND THEY DELIVERED! I love them all. I can’t say enough good things about this experience. Wedding planning is incredibly stressful, so the importance having “teammates” you can rely on cannot be overstated.

We had originally purchased the dress pre-Covid and then the wedding was put off for a year so trying to find this dress somewhere 18 months later was a monumental task. But Ron came through!! His kindness and willingness to help was above and beyond expectations! My daughter is delighted to have been a "Wedding Plaza Bride" and we highly recommend the Wedding Plaza to anyone who wants to have a beautiful dress along with great customer service and attention!

nable. I visited this shop twice before I purchased my dress and the sales person Dawn was amazing. If a dress looked great on, she coplimented. If it looked horrible, she was honest. She was very instrumental in helping me to find my dress however this is where the plesantries end. I purchased my dress in November 2020 for a Septeber 2021 wedding. I was told my dress should arrive June 2021, So June 2020 came and went and I heard nothing. I started calling every 10 days to get an update on my dress and was told "don't worry hun, it's coming. This happens to lots of brides". Well after hearing this for the umpteenth time, I lost it and went off on the salesperson Dawn. When my dress finally arrived approximatley 27 days before my wedding. Alterations - I have a very large bust so my dress was purchased in a size 20, however in actuality, I wear a size 14. During my first appointment, they tried to tell me the dress fit fine and there was little work to do. Even though I knew this wasn't the case, I left the appointment in decent spirits as they would now begin to work on my dress. The day before my next appointment, I received a call to reschedule the time of my appointment from 1pm to 4pm. Approximately 5 minutes before this appointment, I received a call requesitng that my appointment be rescheduled for the next day. This was not an option because I was alredy in front of the shop. After waiting for an hour I was told by one of the employees that they thought I had already been seen and had left. When I explained that no one had spoken to me yet, the alterations department was notified that I was waiting. After asking me for my name (3 times), I found out that my they had not yet begun to work on my dress. After waiting approximately another hour, I ended up leaving in tears. I returned the following day. First they brought out the wrong dress. When they finally found my dress and brought it out for me to try on, the craftsmanship was horrible. Lace was lifted, the alignment was off, and the dress was wrinkled. Fortunately my bridesmaids spoke up for me and addressed the awful work completed thus far. Now you won't believe this but 5 minutes before my next appointment, they called me again to request I come back another day. Again I was in front of the store so this was not an option. Ultimately they took $300 off the price of alterations however on my wedding day, I saw that the lace was still lifted in certin areas. I wish I could say this was an isolated incident but the day I left the boutique in tears, I heard another bride complaining that 3 days before her wedding, the alterations had still not be completed This experience was beyond stressful and I caution anyone who choses to purchase anything from this store.

$150 on alterations and it still doesn’t fit. Today is the wedding and my daughter is screwed. Thanks a lot!

years ago and continued to live up to the superb reputation. Throughout the pandemic, he and his employees consistently were dedicated and caring regarding all details on attire. Each step of the way, I asked Ron for advice, and he was knowledgeable, caring and honest. We worked with Wedding Plaza for altering my gown (done beautifully and in multiple stages), finding bridesmaids’ dresses, altering my sister’s MOH dress, and renting all the men’s suits. Ron went above and beyond to make sure everyone looked their best. My husband, our dads and the groomsmen all had great experiences with the employees.

hole process of shopping for my dress & getting fitted for my dress was really well-structured and enjoyable. I was able to bring most of my bridesmaids and some of my cousins for all my dress fittings, which was great! My only issue with the wedding plaza came towards the end of the process, with the alterations. I felt like they were rushed into the last three weeks of the process and every time I went back to try the dress on, there were things missing - the hem wasn't cut, the sleeves weren't attached yet etc. I also felt like there was every opportunity taken to upcharge me throughout the alteration process, with a skirt being added in two weeks before the wedding. I was surprised at my alteration price given that I wasn't having that much done to the dress aside from adding straps & having the bust/hem taken in. All in all, the dress did fit and looked gorgeous but it was pretty stressful to not see the dress done with the straps on until 5 days before I got married (and have that be the last time I could try it on to make any changes as well). I recommend the Wedding Plaza for trying on your dress, buying your dress and fitting your dress - not so much with alterations! Ron and the other shop girls were incredibly helpful and very easy to work with throughout the process.

I opted for the Wedding Plaza since many people I know got dresses there, and it was closer to work for easier alterations. I’m so happy I went with the Wedding Plaza. They were able to do better on the dress price than the other store, and the alterations came out great. Carmella the seamstress knew exactly what she was talking about and really worked with me to get the dress where I wanted. I appreciated her honesty and experience. I got a ton of compliments on the dress and the fact that it “fit like a glove”. My only critique is that scheduling was a bit haphazard when it came to the fittings (rescheduling, not ready when I got there, etc.), but overall I was very happy with the experience and especially with the employees, and the owner, at the Wedding Plaza.

ed many bridal salons and not one consultant came close to being as good as she was. She has a keen eye for dresses that will look just right on your body. I'm not tiny girl (size 14 and loving it) and Nelly picked gowns that accentuated all of my lovely curves and hid any imperfections. I had a large entourage with me and everyone said the same thing...her taste was amazing. The owner, Ron was also incredible and he even gave my friends and I champagne. I went to a few other appointments after visiting the Wedding Plaza, however I couldn't stop thinking about my experience there. I called them minutes to closing time and asked if I could come back that night. Nelly and Ron graciously accommodated me and waited for me to say yes to my dress. I can't wait for my big day. Thank you Nelly and Ron!

e were several problems with this establishment. First, I was called in March 2019 that the dresses had come in and the girls can come and pay the deposit balance left and then try it on. Which seemed clear. When the girls went they were told “why did you come now, you don’t have to do alterations until May.” I was told they could at least try it on and pay the balance. So none were allowed to do so. Fast forward to when the girls could make appointments for alternations which we were told to make after Memorial Day. One girl was told that they would not take the dress in anymore then they already did, so she had to pin it the day of! Another girl was told that adding cups would look funny and she too said she would not take in her dress anymore, even though I was there and the straps were loose. Before i came with her she went for her fitting and the pins were still in the dress. She texted me saying that they forgot about the dress because it was prom season. My wedding should trump proms. She too took it somewhere else who only charged her 35 dollars for everything that she wanted done. Another girl said that she felt the top wasn’t tight enough, like she felt flat chested in it and no changes were made. Her mom and grandma had to alter the dress and add the belt on. Long story short the girls did not like the dresses because they didn’t fit their bodies. I didn’t think they looked bad, but you want to feel good in what your wearing. Please think twice before using them.

They took the time to show me many different styles, never pressured me and never rushed me into picking a dress. Many times, they stayed late to accomdate my tight work schedule. After trying on my dress for the first time, there were quite a few changes I wanted (and didn’t think were possible). Carmela had a vision and a solution for every one. She is a master at her craft, a HUGE asset to the store and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. When I walked down the aisle, I truly felt like I was a princess. When I left the store the last time with my dress, I felt as I was saying thank you and goodbye to what now became my family....what more could you ever ask for/wish for in your wedding dress shop??? ONE. Three months later I went back with an open mind and I everything fell perfectly in place. Everything was natural and nothing was forced. I am a plus sized bride. Street size 12-14. This is a hard position for any bride. From the beginning they offered my styles that I could realistically try on and get a clear picture of. Ultimately, I chose a Martin Thornburg dress which is part of the Mon Cheri collection. Only after I purchased my dress I realized how exclusive and reasonable in cost this was. All the ladies at the shop were a pleasure from my first visit to my last fitting. The owner Ron was like family to me on my last visit. He was honest, welcoming, and a pleasure to do business with. Carmela the tailer, AMAZING. SO patient. She kept telling me during my fittings, this is not good enough come back again! Of course this was in her goal to perfection. She made sure my straps (which (which I actually added at the end of my journey) were perfect. My bra, my bustle, and waist were of course payed perfect attention to so I could look gorgeous on my special day! From the headpiece, to the veil, to the jewelry, and to the actual dress I was COMPLETELY happy. The personal, friendly, and family atmosphere was amazing. I would suggest The Wedding Plaza to any bride who expects the best!

ld be impossible to have my dream dress arrive in time for the wedding. I was referred to The Wedding Plaza, and from the minute I walked in, I was comforted and told that everything would work out. Little did I know, they had my dream dress in store, and their sample was STUNNING! Much nicer, cleaner, and crisper than my previously ordered "new" dress. After learning of which dress I loved, Ron was able to order me a beautiful brand new dress, and it arrived in 4 days. Ron and team helped me find my perfect veil to match my dress and vision. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. All my alterations were done at the salon, and my dress fit perfectly! Would easily recommend to any bride or bridal party looking for dresses.

Ron and Dawn at The Wedding Plaza spent weeks getting the sample in just in time for the 24 hours I was back in NY to try on dresses. Luana was so sweet the day of my appointment. That dress ended up being the one that I chose and I truly felt like it was made for me. Carmela was amazing at alterations and it fit perfectly! Everyone at The Wedding Plaza went above and beyond in helping me find my dream dress and to make me feel so special on my wedding day!

phenomenal. I was having an issue with a previous dress I had purchased at another boutique and went in to look. Nelly picked a dress out that she said just came in. I picked a few myself. When I put on the dress Nelly picked it was amazing. I had lost 40lbs. since purchasing my first dress and was having issues with alterations. I purchased the dress here the same day. It just hit me! Ron was the sweetest and was such a great help in the process. When I was stressed he calmed me down and it was exactly what I needed. The alterations came out amazing. The beading on the top portion looked very difficult so I was impressed. Carmella did a great job. I even had my girls dresses altered there and they came our great. The tux rentals were very good quality and unique. This is where you go when you want classy stylish wedding attire for a good price. People are still talking about my dress and how beautiful it was. I am so happy I was able to get it. It was a floor sample size 12 and I needed it to be a 2. If they can do that, that is pretty impressive! They carry great designers for bridal and tuxedos. My husband is so happy he got his from The Wedding Plaza. He wanted me to stress in this review how great Ron was. Thank you to all the staff there for helping me with my dilemma and making us all look like movie stars for the day!

Ron was able to talk to the company that made my dream dress and get a loaner for me to try on during the trunk sale free of charge. It was perfect and I wound up buying it. Ron was able to get my dress to me in time for my wedding. I am very thankful for Ron and his team at the Wedding Plaza they made my wedding day complete!

unbeatable price, so I was excited and ready to buy the dress once I arrived. HOWEVER, this was the first of six boutiques that I've visited where I wasn't greeted right away, and was asked to wait until one of the staff members were done with another client. The staff apologized for the wait, but it was worse when I started talking about actually purchasing the dress without wanting to get my alterations done there. I listened to the bad reviews about alterations and was also referred to someone else already. The woman helping me was pushy and kept asking why I didn't want to do my alterations with them. Meanwhile, she knew I had a referral set for me. I didn't need to provide her with another reason. She still wanted another answer. I needed a few minutes to talk to my family. A few minutes in we were interrupted by the staff member asking what the problem was. I wasn't done talking to my family, so now it seemed like she was trying to rush us into finishing the paperwork and payment. At this point, this was the first time I felt overwhelmed and super stressed about dress shopping. Still, the staff member wanted reasons and answers as to why this why that--why am I now questioning this purchase. I get that every store takes pride in their team's work, but please stop asking so many pushy questions, and give your customers some space instead of pressuring them or trying to oversell yourself. I became so discouraged and even though they offered a great price, I did NOT want to be treated so poorly by people that I'd have to see again and again for something so personal. Planning a wedding can be stressful, and no one wants MORE STRESS put upon them by poor customer service.

Alterations were very easy and at a fair price (they won't go over $500). Highly recommend this shop if you're looking for a beautiful wedding dress without breaking the bank.

e to be available in the store but the plus section is one rack. And by plus it means size 20, which in bridal sizing is like a 12. When arriving at the salon I had three different people look me up and down and then ask “do you have an appointment?” Including my assigned consultant even after passing through two other people. My consultant then laughed at my list and took out her big binder of style numbers and told me only one of them was here and that I should never expect a salon to have the same selection as their website. Entire designers didn’t have a single dress in the store. I explained what styles I liked and what my vision was even as we both knew that I only had one rack to choose from and that it was basically pointless to ask. Now looking through the single rack of plus there were only three samples that were not mermaids, so I drove 35 minutes to try on three samples meanwhile the consultant directed all of her questions to my sister who was with me despite my sister informing her every time that she was not the bride and to ask me. Then when we got to the try on part she put my mom at the pedestal and mirror that could not have been physically further away from the fitting room she had us in, which I was uncomfortable with knowing that the three samples in my hand had no chance of zipping or even fitting my shoulders and counting all the people I’d have to walk past with an open dress. Then the consultant shooed my sister away and I said no I’d like her to get me into the dresses and the consultant said....”well MY JOB is to help you try on” and I said I’m very uncomfortable with that and she said “alright you can go in but hand me the dresses when you’re done so that I can hang them up CORRECTLY.” is it insane for a bride to not want a stranger to see them naked? Am I alone? Am I unreasonable? Then the three sample dresses as I predicted didn’t fit didn’t zip didn’t even hardly go on my body so surprise I never came out of the fitting room to show my mother halfway across the crowded salon, so my mom came over to curtain herself and then I hear my consultant yell from the other side “SHES NOT EVEN GONNA COME OUT?” Long story short, I left empty handed and barely made it to my car before crying. This was my first experience trying on gowns and it was the worst. If you are plus size don’t bother.
