The Wedding Rev/ Rev. Dave Angle

Dave was our officiant for our May 2024 wedding and we do not regret having him! From the first meeting with him, he was extremely friendly, organized and we could tell he had a passion for weddings and loved the job. Dave was on top of all the details, spent extra time with us during our final meeting to really nail down our love story and make the ceremony outline perfect. He got the final outline to us 2 weeks before the wedding so we had plenty of time to read it over and make adjustments as needed, but we didn’t need to make many adjustments since it was nearly perfect. He came to our rehearsal and immediately took charge, making the rehearsal run smoothly and everyone felt comfortable with their role after one run through. Our wedding ceremony was everything we wanted and we are so thankful for all the work Dave put it to making it that way! You will not regret hiring Dave to officiant your wedding. He truly is that good and insanely professional but also knows when to joke around and make light of situations. Thank you Dave!

Rev. Dave was everything we could have hoped for. We met with other officiants but Rev. Dave gave us this feeling that he really cared to hear about our story and really wanted to be apart of our big day. He was VERY through in getting to know us so that he could present a very detailed ceremony. He put his own spin on the ceremony and had everyone laughing, smiling and loving every second of it. We highly recommend Rev. Dave and cannot thank him enough.

Working with Dave for our wedding ceremony was truly wonderful - we were both a bit nervous going into our initial discovery call site-unseen, but Dave quickly made us feel incredibly comfortable and left us with no doubt he would blow our ceremony out of the water - and that he did! Dave did a great job providing us some simple tools to help design a script for our wedding ceremony. He really does a wonderful job intertwining a large variety of details into a beautiful script that really tugged at the heartstrings, while keeping it lighthearted and fun! The script translated into a beautiful ceremony - We went for a more traditional-style series of vows and scripting, but hoped to keep it 'light', fun, and plenty of moments for some laughter and light-heartedness. Dave knocked our vision out of the park - the ceremony was filled with both laughter and tears of joy from both us and our families/friends - we received countless positive comments on how much our guests enjoyed Dave - book him! You wont regret it!

Rev. Karen was absolutely phenomenal! She took the time to get to know us both, she was very knowledge about wedding details and venue, and she was verry well spoken. She was clear, easy to hear and understand during the ceremony and she kept everyone engaged. You would have thought we had been friends for a lifetime. Choosing who would marry us was one of the last things we did, but honestly she made our entire day! The wedding coordinator at the venue said “I wish every officiant we worked with came this prepared”.

We had such an amazing experience with Rev. Angle!! From the start, it was very easy to work with him. We emailed him and we got a response quickly to set up what we’d like for our wedding. I was initially worried that he wouldn’t come to the Rockford area but was glad to hear he comes this way! Rev. Angle was so easy to talk to, I was ready to spill my life story to him. We definitely felt understood and heard about what we wanted for our ceremony. We planned a very small wedding with only our immediate family present. He made sure to include everyone and kept the energy up through the duration of the ceremony. He knew which areas of our venue would be best for us. He worked wonderfully with the photographers to ensure they got what they needed. We had something happen that altered the placement of our planned ceremony, Rev. Angle handled it professionally and we made adjustments as necessary and we are so grateful for him and his calm presence. Rev. Angle said he’s done hundreds of weddings, and you can tell, in a good way! He made us feel so special and felt the love and enthusiasm through the whole event.

I cannot speak highly enough of Reverend Dave. If you want a personalized and lighthearted ceremony your guests will talk about, you’ve found your officiant. We met with Dave after seeing all of his positive reviews and they do not do him justice. Our guests were asking how long we knew him, commenting on how beautiful the ceremony was, and entirely charmed by the entire thing. He did a great job running us through the rehearsal and we would 100% recommend him to any engaged couple.

Rev Dave was amazing. Inspirational. Funny And engaging. His ability to capture our love story and incorporate it into our wedding ceremony was such a joy. So many guests commented on how much they enjoyed him, some saying this was the best wedding ceremony they had ever attended. His ability to work the room with over 100 guests added to the pleasure of the day.

Reverend Dave was a pleasure to work with and far exceeded our expectations. We wanted a non-religious focused wedding ceremony while still remaining very traditional and formal, and he gave us that and more. The "marriage counseling" sessions before our wedding felt less like counseling and more like two-hour hangout sessions with a friend. He took the time to really get to know us along the way and create a special ceremony created just for us. While we were talking about the ceremony timeline, I tried to keep it formal and was turned off by the idea of jokes in his script, but when the time came for us to stand up in front of all of our loved ones... let me tell you, his jokes were perfect and just what we needed to take all the ceremony anxiety away. At the end of this experience, it truly felt like Reverend Dave was a family member.

My wife and I loved reverend Dave. As part of Dave performing your wedding ceremony 6+ hours are spent across multiple Zoom calls preparing. This includes lessons on love for yourself and future spouse, as well as sharing details for Reverend Dave to personalize your special day. During the actual ceremony Dave can read the room extremely well and added some light hearted jokes to make the day even more special.

Rev Dave was the perfect officiant for our wedding! When my fiancé and I started out the process of searching for an officiant most would ask us what we wanted. We had a few ideas but had no idea the first thing about structuring our wedding. When we first met Rev. Dave via zoom he laid out how the ceremony would go but was open to anything we would like. It was exactly what we were looking for. Before the wedding, he took the time to meet again and learn every detail of our love story. For the rehearsal and before the wedding he made sure our wedding party would look their best for the photos. And for the wedding he was amazing. He gave us a lovely ceremony while being sentimental and funny. I'd never heard so many laughs at a wedding but he also made sure to add the right amount of a religious component which was very important to us. The most important thing he did was get out of the way for our first kiss as a married couple to make sure the photo was perfect! His attention to detail cannot be matched for your big day when there are so many details to keep track of. I would recommend him to anyone and would give him 6 out of 5 stars if I could. HIRE HIM.

We were recommended to Rev. Dave by another vendor who we trusted. We wanted the ideal officiant to pair with this vendor. As soon as we began our discussion with Rev Dave, his unique style was obvious and we knew he would indeed pair well with our over all goal of having a “wow” experience wedding for us and our guests. We chose his full service package, which was regular pre marital counseling and coaching etc. This was the real value to us, and his wedding day performance (as well as thorough rehearsal day coaching) was the icing on the cake and a treat for our guests. Even the other vendors were very pleased with how well he worked with them (and in some cases, did their job for them…that’s how thorough Rev Dave is). I believe we set the bar high for any future newly weds who attended our event. Above and beyond, 5 star experience, we highly recommend The Wedding Rev.

My wife and I had our wedding on 10/8/23 and used Rev Dave. He did an amazing job at making our wedding ceremony memorable and amazing. Prior to our big day he spent a lot of time finding out what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations when the time came. Rev Dave even suggested doing a memorial ceremony for my father that passed away. Many of our guests commented on how great the ceremony was! Rev Dave is hysterical but also professional and does a fantastic job at making our big day special.

Karen was an absolutely amazing officiant and was able to add a personal touch to the ceremony while engaging with the guests. We both laughed and cried (with joy) during the ceremony as Karen managed to balance levity with candor. All in all, Karen was awesome. Many of our guests were raving afterwards about how great the ceremony was and asking for her contact information.

I cannot say enough great things about Rev Dave Angle!!! We are beyond thrilled to have had him as our wedding officiant. He is understands the importance of this day and is extremely helpful with his advice and tips to make the day go smoothly. We found Rev. Dave on the knot app and after our initial meeting, we immediately booked him for our wedding. It was so nice getting to review our story with him for the ceremony and reliving all the memories and then getting to share them with family/friends that didn't really know it! He made everything super easy and smooth and very personal to you and your partner. Also makes it a good time as opposed to just reading the traditional vows. We opted for doing 3 additional vows which our whole crowd loved and we got multiple comments on how cute they were. We would highly recommend Rev. Dave!!

Rev Dave did a really amazing job and even went beyond to make our wedding fantastic. I had a garden wedding 2 weeks ago, and Rev really set the tone for my wedding. All of my guest complimented me about how wonderful my ceremony is. Every single one of them listened to the ceremony, there were tears, happy tears. Even after the wedding, Rev stayed for a short bit to help out with family photos post ceremony. I am truly amaze, and he had a big part of making my wedding successful. Thank you Rev!

If I could give 11 stars I would. Our wedding journey started in 2022 and we got married July of 2023. We interviewed 4 officiants as we wanted le crème de la crème and with Rev. Dave we got it. He's been doing this for many years and it definitely shows. He is professional but not stuffy he surely has his quirky side but a good one. We didn't want our wedding to be BOoRRRING! He aimed for perfection and we got it. If you are thinking about getting married give Dave Rev. an opportunity you won't be disappointed.

We got married at The Brix and hired Dave as our officiant. He is great!! We felt like it was so easy to connect with him since the first zoom call we had. We loved his sense of humor as well! We did the pre-marriage prep sessions with him and we learned so much about us as a couple. Dave also got to know us so well which made our ceremony so personal. Rev Dave Angle did an amazing job officiating our wedding! He respected and honored our specific requests and took the time to personalize our ceremony and vows. Working with Rev Dave Angle was such a treat! Our first video consult was so much fun and we knew right away we wanted Rev Dave to marry us. Rev Dave was very accommodating and worked with us in incorporating the Hispanic lasso/ rosary tradition in our ceremony which meant so much to me. Over here yelling from the rooftops how fantastic Dave is!!!! I found Dave on The Wedding Wire and immediately liked him from the photos as his personality just shown right through. I messaged Dave on May 17th, 2022 interested in a virtual wedding on June 4th, 2022. Yes, that's right, a mere 18 days before the wedding. And miraculously he was available! We had a meeting and again, his personality, his jokes, his ease just made us feel so comfortable with him so fast! He seamlessly walked us through the marriage licence application, had wonderful advice, and prepared is all in a short 18 days. We eloped June 4th, 2022, virtually, and it was beyond perfect and he helped calm our nerves over the phone. My husband and I had the pleasure of having Rev. Dave marry us TWICE! In August of 2022, we decided to renew our vows for our one year anniversary and celebrate our marriage with family and friends, so again we reached out to Dave and he was ready to marry us again! Dave helped us through the process all over again, taking an incredible amount of time to learn about our love story and tailor the ceremony script to fit us. It's been two weeks since the vow renewal on 6/4/23, and we are STILL hearing from family and friends how amazing and truly personal the ceremony was. People could not stop complimenting Dave! We loved our experience with Rev. Dave from start to finish! From the time he spent getting to know us and our story until the actual ceremony, he was fantastic to work with. The ceremony was so meaningful, personalized, fun and engaging with the attendees. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

I first met Rev. Dave at a wedding where I was the hired DJ. I remember his ceremony being fun and engaging. Five years later, I needed his help as my brother asked me to officiate his wedding. Rev . Dave stepped up with mentorship and resources. Not only did my brother's wedding go off splendidly this past weekend, with joy and fun, but because of Rev. Dave I received accolades from every guest I spoke with that day. Some even thought I do this regularly! Thank you again for your help. It made all the difference in making Mike and Cara happy.

Rev. Dave was the perfect choice for our wedding. He was a joy to work with and really understood our story and what style of ceremony we wanted. We opted for pre-marital counseling with him as well which I highly recommend. Not only does it prepare you for your future marriage but also gave Rev Dave a longer period of time to get to know us, our personalities and what kind of couple we are. The counseling also includes materials for future use as well to help foster communication throughout the years. The ceremony was a perfect mix of what we asked for in regard to religious, funny and personal. So many of my friends and family were appreciative of the special touches he incorporated into the ceremony and were surprised to hear our whole love story of how we met and fell in love. We were able to exchange not only set traditional vows but also some personally written vows. I cannot recommend Rev Dave enough if looking for someone to preform your ceremony. From our first zoom meeting to just say hello and get a vibe, we knew about 2 minutes in that he was perfect for us. The highest of fives to Rev Dave!

Rev. Karen was incredible to work with! She made our ceremony special to us and thought of every little detail. She went above and beyond as our officiant. She did everything from organizing and orchestrating our ceremony, to getting to know us as a couple and even acted as strong support system when we needed her. She alleviated many of my wedding day anxieties because of how organized and reassuring she was. I could not recommend Rev. Karen enough!! She made our ceremony perfect.

Overall great experience! We completed the sessions prior with Dave which helped bring up topics in our relationship that needed to be talked about while also bringing us together. We got married in October 2022 and booked Rev. Dave for our ceremony. We had a ceremony that was very unique, personalized, and entertaining (we received multiple comments of how this was the most unique ceremony our guests have been to) and felt that we had a lot of input into the ceremony script which we appreciated. Rev. Dave sends you the script to review the week before so you can make edits and it helps to be aware of the flow of the ceremony as well. We got to personalize our vows which neither of us heard until the day of which ended up being really fun. Booking Rev. Dave as your officiant is definitely expensive though! Probably double the price of what standard officiants will charge (he doesn’t tell you pricing until after you have a Zoom call with him which is smart but is also probably more than we would have initially wanted to spend). At the end of the day, did we get a ceremony that represented us as the couple and was engaging, funny, and unique? Yes. Was it very expensive? Also yes. Our ceremony went really well, but my only comment is that some of the more religious parts we asked to take out from the standard parts of the script (we are not religious) still stayed (references to God etc.) I think because it is probably habit from other ceremonies. It ended up being fine but thought it was worth noting for other couples who might be in the same boat.

Reverend Dave was the perfect choice for our wedding! From the initial zoom calls to get to know one another we knew he would be a perfect fit for our special day. Not only was he responsive and punctual, but he was also extremely personable and just a fun person to get to know. Throughout our ceremony he had people in the audience laughing at little stories/jokes about our relationship, friends, and family while still maintaining the seriousness that a wedding should portray. It really kept the whole thing light-hearted and fun rather than making it seem scripted which ceremonies can sometimes be. I can't tell you how many of our guests mentioned that it was one of the best ceremonies they had attended! Overall, we had a blast with Reverend Dave and if you are looking to have a great time at your wedding ceremony I cannot recommend him enough, you will not regret it!

We got married on 8/26/2022, Rev Karen officiated our wedding and she was absolutely amazing, we are SO happy we booked with her. From the very beginning she was so caring and excited about our big day and she was extremely easy to work with. She helped us with any questions we had. We had a 2 hour planning meeting to review the ceremony script and she was very patient and provided great recommendations. On our wedding day she did a fantastic job! She spoke so well, kept the crowd engaged, everything exceeded our expectations. We received so many compliments on our ceremony and how it was so fun and entertaining (contrary to most ceremonies!). Our day could not have been better, and Reverend Dave has a whole lot to do with that. Throughout the entire process - getting to know us and our story, our virtual appointments since we live out of town, and then finally meeting in person and tying our whole ceremony together - it was absolutely perfect. Dave truly puts the couple and their love story first - along with all other details they would like to include in their ceremony - and you truly feel like you've known him for years! He captured our story, our love for each other, our love for God, and our love for everyone in the room so incredibly well. He kept us calm and collected with his warm demeanor and his jokes. People came up to us after the wedding asking us if we had known him for a long time. We are more than happy we made the best decision as having him as our reverend. We will cherish our ceremony forever!
