The Wentworth, A White Mountain Inn

I got married here on 9/12/26 and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish!! When my husband and I first toured the Wentworth, almost a year and half before our wedding date, we fell in love immediately. Cita was so welcoming and informative, right off the bat, and the space checked every box we had! The space: We felt very strongly about wanting to book a wedding venue where everything could be onsite and almost all guests could stay onsite as well. The Wentworth offered us exactly that, with the added benefit of being a cozy, intimate boutique inn. We were able to fill almost the entire inn without guests and never had to worry about hundreds of other people staying there as well. Another massive selling point for us, was that they would not book another event on the Friday of our wedding weekend so we never felt like we were needing to share the space with another wedding. The rooms are beautiful, cozy, and very comfortable and there were options for every type of guests’ needs, from suites to small rooms. The Amster Cottage is a perfect location for the groomsmen to have their own space for getting ready and we used it again for the after party! The bridal suite was one of the Thornycroft suites and is huge and so comfortable! Each floor of the inn also has a snack station with a fridge full of drinks, filtered water, and snacks. There were also fresh muffins every morning and warm cookies every night! It was a dream and our guests were so impressed! The ceremony space right across the street, along the river, was beautiful and secluded. Our ceremony was filled with the sounds of nature and very walkable for our guests. The back patio and tent were also incredible for our cocktail hour and reception! We had just about 140 guests and the space always felt full, but never crowded. There are fire pits around the patio and behind the tent and all of our guests loved them! The whole space was beautiful and homey. The staff: I cannot say enough positive things about every member of the staff that we interacted with all weekend and leading up to our wedding! First off, Cita was an absolute joy to work with and incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the process! She was there to provide advice or answer any questions we had in the year plus of planning. She and her team took accommodating to another level!! They did everything in their power to pull off any request we had and went above and beyond to make the weekend feel unique and special for us. Steven, the food and beverage director, was also incredible! He checked in with us the perfect amount throughout the weekend, made sure everything ran so smoothly and was so lovely to work with! He also got us a drink every time ours were low! The food was also amazing for EVERY meal and we got compliments on it from so many guests! Whether it be creating our ideal rehearsal dinner in a new location, adjusting appetizers, or setting up the deck in a new layout - the entire Wentworth team blew our expectations out of the water!! A few more shoutouts - Emmit, and all the front desk staff, who helped us every time we needed an extra key, an emergency print job and so many other things! All of the bar staff and servers, (especially Leon!), were amazing to work with as well and so friendly! We never once felt like we were just another wedding passing through, but like they were truly happy to have us there the entire weekend and through all of the planning!

We (two brides) had our 105-person wedding at the Wentworth in August 2026, and we truly cannot recommend it highly enough as a venue! It's a phenomenally beautiful place with a stunning outdoor ceremony spot, gorgeous falls just a short walk away, and a really lovely reception tent surrounded by a garden and firepits. We wanted our wedding to feel full of nature and wildness, and it really did. All of our guests loved the inn and had comfortable, affordable, fun weekend stays, and having everyone in one place for the weekend meant that we really got to spend quality time with all of them. (There are also a lot of other hotel and Airbnb options within a 15-minute drive, so plenty of options for guests who want to stay somewhere else, too.) We keep hearing from everyone how much they loved the inn and what a special place it is. The food and drinks were all also really delicious and got rave reviews, and the Wentworth team was just a well-oiled machine in how they put together the wedding weekend. Our wedding was probably particularly challenging because we had an uncertain weather forecast right up until about 10 minutes before our ceremony, and Cita (the in-house wedding coordinator, who's an absolute star) and the rest of the team did an incredible job working and thinking quickly to move things around and let us wait until the last possible moment to decide whether we were going to go inside or outside. It poured and we ended up going inside, and it was just really beautiful and intimate in the gorgeous front room of the inn -- the rare venue where the rain plan is a wonderful option as well and not an afterthought. On the planning front, Cita and the rest of the team at the Wentworth was just great to work with the entire time. Everyone is really warm and accommodating and thoughtful and good at what they do, and Cita in particular is just great at making the magic happen. If you and your fiancee are busy people who don't want wedding planning to feel more stressful than it has to, this is the place to be. On that note, the venue is also right across the street from a really phenomenal baker (Autumn Nomad) and florist (Dutch Bloemen Winkel) who know the venue really well, so that was also a huge perk in terms of keeping the planning process streamlined. All to say, we couldn't have had a better experience and are so grateful to the Wentworth for making our wedding so perfect!
