Nestled in the heart of charming Jackson Village, we are just steps from rolling mountains, rushing rivers and covered bridges. A myriad of recreational, sporting and cultural activities await you year round. The Wentworth, a White Mountain Inn, provides an idyllic setting, a temporary escape from life’s everyday stresses and allows you the freedom to reconnect, rediscover and recharge here in the majestic White Mountains. In 1869, Joshua Trickey built The Wentworth as a wedding gift to his daughter Georgia Trickey and her husband-to-be, General Marshall Wentworth. We are lucky enough to have this very personal and intimate hand written letter at our historic inn to this day. What better way to celebrate love, joy and commitment then the place built to honor a lifelong journey! With such a history, it is only natural for The Wentworth to be considered as one of the most romantic and desirable wedding destination of the Mount Washington Valley. Wedding venue brimming with character holds only one wedding per day, ensuring that each celebration is appropriately attended to by the staff. Both ceremonies and receptions can be held at The Wentworth with indoor and outdoor options available. Ceremonies can be held on our River Front Lawn, next to Wildcat River creating picturesque Jackson’s Falls. Receptions are taking place on the Alpine Terrace and our brand-new White Mountain Pavilion with a capacity for 210 attendees. For November-April weddings, three dining rooms with Alpine Tavern can be used for milestone moments. This recently updated and upscaled tranquil venue also offers options for rehearsal dinners and welcome receptions, allowing couples to turn their wedding into a weekend-long event. For the convenience of the couple and their guests, room blocks are available as well. Throughout the year, The Wentworth offers future newlyweds serenity and a historical ambience that creates a romantic wedding setting.
