New Hampshire Weddings at The Wentworth
Holds ceremonies and receptions
NB: I literally ran out of space writing this because we were so happy with this venue. Please know I could write another 5000 words of praise for The Wentworth, and this is an abridged review.
We had a few specifics in mind for our venue when we started searching. We wanted: an all-inclusive place--food, hotel, dancing; something near a covered bridge; something where the setting spoke for itself, with not a lot of decorations needing to be shipped in; LGBTQ friendly; a good price; memorial day weekend; no other weddings on our weekend. We found all of this and more in the Wentworth.
First of all, Cita could plan the invasion of Normandy, with less allied casualties. We had our own spreadsheets created and running for comparing venues because--hot tip for you couples just starting the process--venues don't tell you all the costs up front. They don't mention the catering, or the linens, or the "champagne toast" (some places charge for that!), &c. But a) The Wentworth doesn't charge any of that nonsense. There's a flat fee per plate, and that includes linens, chairs, toast, everything; and b) Cita sent us her OWN spreadsheet, complete with break-outs of the taxes, service fees, &c, which answered every single question our own spreadsheets had--plus some things we hadn't thought of! It was glorious. Literally from that moment we knew we wanted to go with the Wentworth. It's amazing how difficult so many venues make the basic cost breakdown process. Not the Wentworth.
The location: could it be any more beautiful? We love covered bridges, and of course the Jackson Honeymoon bridge is less than a mile from the property (you drive through it if you're coming from the Conway area). It is a beautiful covered bridge with great photo opportunities, not to mention the entire village of Jackson is picturesque. We were so excited to invite our guests to converge on this location because we knew they would all be able to enjoy themselves in this quaint New England village nestled in the White Mountains. The Jackson falls just up the road from the Wentworth also made for some incredible photos. Not to mention the Wentworth itself, with its historical charm, beautiful landscaping, and big beautiful trees, made the perfect place for first looks.

In a day and a half we watched as they refreshed and replanted all the annual flowers on the entire property: landscaping, box flowers, hanging flowers, everything. It was a Herculean effort and it was done just perfectly in time for our guests to arrive Friday for the Welcome Reception at the Wentworth's Alpine bar.
Cita and the rest of the staff at the Wentworth know what they're doing hosting a wedding. They have storage space set aside for your signage and decor so you can easily stash and pull those out for when you need them. They know how to direct vendors to the tent out back (which was also refreshed and refab'd for our wedding, since it was the beginning of the season). Cita sat down with us before the weekend kicked off and went through hour-by-hour and item-by-item everything that was going to happen, double-checking all the details, even making last-minute changes at our request. Once done, we didn't have to worry for the rest of the weekend, everything was handled

From the very beginning, Cita was an incredible resource. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helped answer my many, many questions. Shelby, the General Manager, and Elliott, the Food & Beverage Manager were also great to work with. The whole team went above and beyond to make our weekend possible and ensure that we felt like guests of honor. It takes a village and would not be possible without their incredible team of people.
Our wedding weekend exceeded our expectations. We are so happy with our decision to choose the Wentworth and are looking forward to coming back to visit in the future!

zed, and genuinely excited about making our wedding weekend special. She went above and beyond every step of the way, from our first visit to the many planning calls, all the way through the weekend itself.
Elliot, our go-to over the wedding weekend, was amazing - calm, organized, and always available from early morning to late at night for anything we needed. Irina was also wonderful, helping whenever Cita wasn’t available and even running out the morning of the wedding to grab donuts we’d forgotten in the chaos of the day!
Having all our wedding events in one place made the weekend so smooth and allowed us to truly enjoy every moment. Our guests loved the venue - many traveled from far away and couldn’t stop talking about the comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings, and incredible food (that breakfast buffet is unreal!). The bartenders kept the party going, and everyone had such a great time.
The whole staff was amazing and made our wedding weekend so special. Their thoughtfulness, flexibility, and care made all the difference. We can’t recommend The Wentworth Inn enough and can’t wait to come back and enjoy it all again in the years to come!!!

This review is a year in the making — not because we didn’t love our wedding, but because it’s taken me this long to find the words to do it justice.
We got married at The Wentwor...
th on June 29, 2024, and even now, nearly a year later, we’re still hearing from guests about how special the weekend was. From the moment we met Cita over video, we felt something different. She wasn’t just a venue coordinator — she felt like a friend. She made every detail of planning feel personal, calm, and meaningful. By the time we visited in person (driving up from Rhode Island), we knew The Wentworth was the place.
Truthfully, Cita set such a high bar during the planning process that we were nervous anyone else would fall short on the day itself. Enter Corey — who completely earned our trust and respect within the first few hours of our wedding weekend. She brought calm, confidence, and a quiet command that made the day run seamlessly. I’ve joked before that Cita was the vision and Corey was the execution — and both were exceptional.
The entire staff — Megan, Travis, Max, Charlie, and so many others — made every guest feel like a VIP. Not a single drink was left unfilled, the food was far beyond typical “wedding food,” and any concerns we had about timing or flow vanished as soon as the night got rolling. When weather forced us inside for the ceremony, the team handled the pivot beautifully. It turned out to be incredibly intimate and cozy — one of those unexpected moments that ends up being perfect.
As a gay couple, we were also deeply moved by how welcomed and celebrated we felt. It’s not something we take for granted, especially in a small mountain town, and it speaks volumes about the kind of people running this venue.
The Wentworth truly is a gem — or as we’ve lovingly called it, The Ritz of the Woods. We’ll forever be grateful for the way they made our wedding weekend feel like ours. Personal, effortless, joyful, and unforgettable.

rsday through Sunday at the Inn and had 96 people at our wedding. We did a welcome party for everyone, with dinner, then everyone joined in the bar at the inn. The wedding took place next to the river, and then we had cocktail hour at the bar and patio - and then in the tent. It was all right there. First of all, if you're getting married, Cita, our coordinator was an ANGEL. She is truly special and makes the experience so easy and not stressful. Corey, our day of coordinator at the inn was a rockstar. The staff was exceptional. THE FOOD needs it's own post. Everyone was losing their minds over how amazing the food was (made from scratch)... they pulled out all the stops. The atmosphere, decor, energy, it was incredible. They make it an experience. After the wedding, everyone spread out on the patios, fire pits, everything and utilized all parts. We LOVE the white mountains, and had our first date at Attitash, so to be able to come back to Jackson year over year and stay at the Wentworth is so special to us. We were easy going bride and groom, as far as giving all our vendors creative freedom, and the wentworth inn made for the most beautiful backdrop. The rooms - friends and family still cannot get over the hot tubs in some of their rooms, the amazing decor, everything. I could write a short novel on our most perfect wedding weekend. Truly. Cita, the wedding coordinator at the inn, was so easy to work with and truly cared about helping us create the day of our dreams. She was extremely responsive throughout the entire planning process and very professional. Corey, the day of coordinator, was fantastic and did a phenomenal job coordinating day of events. Her and her team set up the tent and cocktail hour space us and it looked beautiful. It was very important to us to be able to have all of our guests stay on sight and having a wedding weekend. The Wentworth went above and beyond all of our expectations. Not to mention every single meal that Chef Brian prepared was incredible! edding coordinator, Cita, was so nice and very responsive throughout the whole process. Corey, who helped with everything the weekend of our wedding, was also amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a more supportive staff.
We held a welcome dinner and our wedding dinner here and the food was so good! We had multiple people come up to us and say it was the best wedding food they have had. The chef did an outstanding job.
Everything was perfect, we have no complaints and would highly recommend getting married and hosting your reception here!

was easy going, structured, upfront and responsive. It made us feel at ease and comfortable in a very stressful time! She also had strong relationships with the local vendors we went with, making us feel even better that everything was going to go smoothly. We will miss speaking to her (but will be back up annually to visit the Wentworth!).
We were able to get everything we wanted in our wedding by going with the Wentworth, as they were affordable compared to the ridiculous prices that are out there. There was package deals that included everything, but was reasonably priced. Additionally, we were able to host a Welcome Dinner with almost 100 guests that really did not break the bank. It set up the weekend nicely!
The venue was as promised, the rooms were amazing, the staff were super accommodating, professional and enjoyable to talk with. Our guests had an amazing time and we really could not have asked for a better location. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND them for all future newlyweds!

ng went exactly how I envisioned it. My guests kept saying it was one the best wedding they’ve been to. They complimented the beauty of the venue, the delicious food, and the awesome party we had. We also had our rehearsal dinner there as well and I’m so glad we did! Even our rehearsal dinner was a blast. It was so nice to have the outdoor patio to ourselves along with the fire pits to hangout at after the rehearsal dinner. It was the most perfect weekend. Kathleen was so great and promptly answered my many emails and was awesome to work with during the planning process. Irina, the day of reception coordinator, was so friendly and made sure everything ran smoothly. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Wentworth! We can’t wait to come back and celebrate our anniversaries there!

n to! This is all thanks to the incredible staff and operations at the Wentworth. Kathleen DeVitto, the wedding manager at the Wentworth, is an angel and the most organized and dedicated event manager. She made the entire wedding planning experience stress free and was always so so fast with all of her responses and incredibly accommodating to the many questions that I had. I truly don’t think that we would have had nearly the same incredible experience if it weren’t for Kathleen’s help every step of the way! On the day of the wedding, Irina at the Wentworth was the absolute best day of coordinator - she was so helpful and ensured that all of our vendors were set up and things were on schedule. We are so grateful that Irina was there on our wedding day to ensure that everything ran smoothly!! Also, Leon is an incredible bartender and kept the party going on our wedding day as well as the rehearsal dinner. Huge shoutout to all of the Wentworth staff for making our wedding such a success!! Run, don’t walk to book your wedding at the Wentworth! I can’t recommend them enough!

All weekend our guests raved about the beautiful hotel and quaint setting, the amazing food and service and all of the fun things to do around Jackson. Being able to have all of our events at the same place and have all of our guests stay in Jackson was such a blessing! Kathleen was amazing to work with - she was incredibly responsive, accomodating and detail oriented (and patient when I asked her 1000 questions!). Our day of coordinator Irina was also so wonderful and worked tirelessly behind the scenes so that we did not have to worry about a single thing . This place just gets it!! The owner Eleanor was present throughout the entire weekend making sure that everything was running smoothly and every single staff member was so kind and helpful. I really can't say enough good things about our experience here, I would choose the Wentworth again in a heartbeat!

y have it all. The entire team at The Wentworth diligently took care of us and our guests, which allowed us to enjoy the whole weekend. Every single staff member was so quick to attend to any of our needs. The day-of coordinator, Irina, handled everything from the moment we arrived on Friday afternoon. She was absolutely incredible and worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. Kathleen was also fabulous to work with during the planning process. She was always quick to answer our emails, and had a solution for everything. The hotel itself is beautiful and charming with so many lovely spaces to explore. Friends and family are still raving about their meals and the late night pizza (some of the best pizza we have had). Jackson has been my home away from home since I was a kid and it has been such a special place to David & I, quickly becoming his “home away” as well after our first visit together. The Wentworth has always been a favorite of ours (and our families) to visit, dine, or just grab cocktails on the porch and enjoy the ambiance - it’s just so fitting that we got to make our very best memories there.
Thank you and your team for making our wedding weekend perfect. We greatly appreciate the procedures and extremely professional manner in which you and your team handled COVID safety. We haven’t been out & about much at all obviously but our entire families collectively agree that you all were the absolute best that any of us have seen; models for how we can safely carry on with life, albeit differently, during COVID times. Kim, the onsite coordinator, and staff will take the best care of you! They have the perfect balance of doing enough weddings to know all the whats and hows of planning, but few enough weddings to actually get to know their couples and provide a special wedding experience for each couple. Kim is patient and insightful throughout the whole wedding process and will answer all your questions (I know, I asked a lot)! By a month out from the wedding, I was at ease that the whole wedding weekend was planned and ready to go.
Everything ran seamlessly the whole weekend from the rehearsal dinner and welcome reception to breakfast to the main event! Paris, the day-of coordinator, kept everything running on schedule and according to plan. Our guests all had a great time and spoke very highly of the quality and attention of everyone at the Wentworth. Chef Brian does terrific with all the food (and you’ll actually get to enjoy it!) and Rob playing piano in the evening was a highlight for many of our guests.

She was not only attentive the entire year leading up to the big day answering sometimes daily e-mails but was also incredibly responsive throughout the whole wedding weekend. Kim even stayed through the storm and most of the wedding, when she didn't have to be there to make sure everything was perfect. The food was incredible, the service was great and we wouldn't have picked another venue! We even were allowed to bring our dog for the weekend, no questions asked. bride of the year! Your special day is just as important to her and you and your family which makes it so incredibly special to plan a wedding here.
One thing (of many) that makes the Wentworth stock out from any other venue is the FOOD. Incredible. Guests raves about how it was the best wedding food they have ever had. If you decide to do a late night snack, Pizza is a must. The best you will ever have, guaranteed.
Another thing that we loved about this place was there’s little to no turnover rate with employees. I saw that there were a lot of turnover with wedding staff at other upscale venues in the White Mountains.
Ellie, the owner of the Inn, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. We can’t get over how perfect our wedding day was. Thank you to the staff at The Wentworth. We will be visiting every September to celebrate our anniversary!

wonderful and magical day. We wanted a place where all of our guests could stay for an entire weekend, and the Wentworth fit that vision perfectly.
Kim, the coordinator, answered emails from us literally day and night for the 11 months leading up to our date. She is very friendly and easy to work with, and guided us through every aspect of planning with the Inn. The Inn only does 1 wedding per weekend, so you and your guests have the whole inn (mostly) to yourselves - we took advantage of this by doing events on Friday & Sunday as well. They give you their full attention, and the result is a laid back and enjoyable experience! All of the staff are very professional and friendly.
They also provided a list of recommended vendors, from which we booked out florist, baker, and DJ, and hair/makeup and who were all awesome!! The owner is wonderful and personally chatted with us and congratulated us on the morning after our wedding. She was there during the reception and had personally chased a squirrel away to save our cake!
The food is seriously delicious. We attended the tasting that they host in March and loved it all so much that we had trouble deciding what to have for our wedding! Everything is fresh and tasty, and they are incredibly accommodating for food allergies and dietary restrictions.
We can't say enough how accommodating they were to our every request - they helped book a golf tee time and made breakfast to-go early for the golfers. They helped us bring in all of our wedding "stuff" when we arrived, and we handed it all off worry-free for them to do the setup on the day - we didn't have to do anything. When a gift was missing the morning after the wedding, they personally assigned a staff member to be responsible for tracking it down (luckily, it turned out that a friend had put it in a safe place).
The venue itself is beautiful. We had our ceremony at the gazebo along the river, and it was just a lovely, intimate spot. The tent for reception is beautiful, and large enough to hold a big wedding! There are so many places at the Inn or nearby in Jackson to take gorgeous wedding photos - we did some at the Inn, but also at the library and at Jackson falls.
The rooms are very nice (many recently renovated), with super comfy beds. Our guests enjoyed the hot tubs in the suites and the clawfoot tubs in other rooms! The bridal suite has a large living room and HUGE bathroom for getting ready.
We seriously love the Wentworth and plan to be back to celebrate our anniversary in the future.

eakfast on Sunday morning, was absolutely perfect!! Kim is very easy to work with and was always prompt with responses and took care of any requests/needs we had. I am a crazy detailed person and she dealt with all my questions and edits to our plan even up until the last minute. Her attention to detail is excellent and she ensured everything was perfectly planned prior to our wedding weekend. I could tell that Kim actually cared about us and we ended up picking most of our vendors based on her recommendations and were absolutely not disappointed. Once we arrived for our wedding weekend, the entire Wentworth staff was fantastic. The front desk staff, bartenders, waiters, and all other members of the staff were so helpful and treated us like we were family. There were so many little things that Jen, the day of coordinator, did for us that meant a lot like having a plate of hors d'oeuvres ready for us when we walked in the door to our Welcome Reception after our offsite rehearsal dinner, dealing with a tent table layout change the day of the wedding without issue and bringing full meals up to our room after our reception. Our guests have not stopped talking about the atmosphere at the Wentworth and how fantastic the service and hospitality was. Needless to say, many of our guests are planning to go back for a weekend trip in the near future. We are forever grateful to the whole staff for such an incredible weekend!!!!

our on the back “Porch” and dinner in the south dining room. There are many positives about our experience at The Wentworth that weekend as well as three things that were less than perfect. On the positive side, all guests thoroughly enjoyed their rooms as well as the associated condos used by two family groups of guests. Additionally, the food for our wedding was terrific – from the passed hors d’oeuvres to the spinach salad and each bite of the surf and turf dinner that followed! We received many complimentary comments from our guests about the food and one guest (who has traveled extensively in Japan) described the steak on his plate as the best one he has ever eaten. On the other hand, there are three areas where The Wentworth’s service fell short of expectations. First, the cocktail hour waitstaff did not offer the groom one of the appetizers – specifically, he didn’t get to taste one of the tangy, spicy corn fritters other guests raved about. Second, the yummy spinach salad was not served until 45 minutes after our party of less than 30 guests was seated for dinner. Finally, the dining room was not ready to go when our crew arrived to decorate 2 ½ hours before the wedding. There was food still on the floor from the morning breakfast service which ended more than 2 hours earlier and the tables and chairs had not been arranged as requested. Once the maintenance staff brought in the correct tables, we had to go through cabinets looking for the linens to dress the tables. We were forced to use a large rectangular table for our small cake instead of the round one requested when maintenance would not remove the large one from the room because they had nowhere else to store the larger table. In summary, the dining room set-up arrangements were not as promised during planning discussions and this caused the two bridal attendants to completely miss first look pictures. On the other hand, the front desk staff was very efficient at greeting our guests and getting them checked into their comfortable rooms and condos. She efficiently accommodated special needs discovered during the check-in process and immediately rectified a breakfast billing issue for condo guests as soon as it was pointed out. During the decorating fiasco, she even vacuumed up the Cheerios from the dining room floor! Our event ended at The Wentworth on a high note with an awesome server for our “Day After” hosted breakfast who was upbeat, friendly and very proficient. She was simply delightful addition to our final event.

g weekend was absolutely perfect! The cozy atmosphere of the Inn allowed all of our guests to feel relaxed and get to know each other lounging on the porch or in the beautiful lobby. We had so many compliments on the breakfast included in the room rate, as well as the dinner for our welcome dinner on Friday and the wedding on Saturday. The staff was attentive and made sure that the event was flawless. Guests loved singing along with the pianist on the porch after the reception. The rooms were spacious and cozy, and many guests enjoyed the hot-tubs in their luxury suites. The location is great, with restaurants nearby and just a short drive to hiking or shopping, which many of our guests enjoyed on Saturday morning. We were so impressed and could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding day-- we can't wait to come back and visit again!

nough, I'd give it one hundred stars if I could. It was a perfect wedding venue, such an elegant setting! The staff is amazing. It is owned by Ellie and Fritz, a delightful couple who were always visible and made it their personal business to check in on us often to be sure we were completely satisfied. Every detail was attended to perfection. They made the entire weekend seem seamless. Kim, who organized the whole thing was great to work with. Every person, and I mean EVERY person at that hotel couldn't have been nicer and more attentive to our guests. The mouth watering food (surf and turf) at the reception was crazy good, and with such an elegant presentation. The breakfasts each morning were were absolutely delicious. Our guests were in awe of the entire place, the food, the accommodations, the service, and the ambiance. For this level of food and service I would have expected to pay much more than we did. It is a great value for everything you get here. The entire area is beautiful with so much to do. There is a golf course right there, a stone's throw from the inn, so we organized a golf tournament in which 24 of our guests participated. They had a blast. The entire weekend was a blast, and it couldn't have been better. On Friday and Saturday nights the Inn supplies their house pianist, Rob Robbins who is amazing! Each night our guests gathered in the piano bar and sang their hearts out right up until midnight. It was a perfect way end our son's wedding day once the reception concluded at 10:00. I highly, highly recommend The Wentworth as a wedding venue, or even just as a getaway destination. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Ellie and Fritz for your wonderful offerings and kind hospitality. You left us with memories that will last a lifetime.

he fit we were looking for. Both the staff and even the owners all took part in our day making it completely flawless and stress-free. If I were to rewind and do it all over again I would be back at the Wentworth one-thousand times over. Their expertise, advice, support and personalization made us feel at total ease with whatever hiccups the day could bring. Of course, there were none (that I could see!) which made it that much more enjoyable and truly the best day of our lives. Not to mention, the accomodations and food were excellent. We loved the idea of having our guests gather in one place for our wedding weekend (where we would be the only wedding taking place!), and the inn was the best place to do that – extremely quaint yet updated, with beautiful grounds in a cute New England town. Communication and planning with The Wentworth was relatively easy, minus the fact that both the chef and wedding coordinator left at the beginning of the year and we were not informed right away. This was mostly just a hassle in terms of having to go through the details of our day with the venue again to make sure everything had been transferred between the old staff and the new. However, once we showed up for the weekend, we handed over the reigns, didn’t have to think about any more details, and things could not have gone more smoothly! The Wentworth was extremely accommodating and made each of our guests feel right at home. We have even gotten multiple comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed staying at the inn and how they would love to visit again. The staff was so easy to work with, listened to our every need, and executed every detail perfectly throughout the entire weekend. The Wentworth is a well-run wedding establishment that provides you with everything you may need for your wedding – delicious food, stellar accommodations, and warm hospitality. We could not be ANY happier with our choice of venue for our big day!!

nd kept up nicely. The service was disappointing throughout the weekend. The staff seemed as though they had no knowledge of what was going on or the plans I had set with the wedding sales manager. Our breakfast servers throughout the weekend confused orders on a daily basis. Other wise everything went well. The owners are so accomodating and such gracious hosts!
