p our cake tasting. The tasting cakes were beautiful and the cake flavors we chose were delicious and made it an easy decision to choose them to make our wedding cake. We did cake tastings with 4 bakeries and this bakery was by far the best. The cakes at other places tasted artificial or just not great flavors to choose from. For our wedding cake, we chose a two tier cake with almond cake and raspberry preserves filling and then we did two half sheet cakes, chocolate with peanut butter filling and pumpkin with cream cheese filling. These cakes were ALL delicious! The main cake was also beautifully decorated and they color matched our flowers. We can't wait to get our anniversary cake from The West Side Bakery!

We went with white almond buttercream frosting and almond cake & our cake was stunning and absolutely delicious - everyone at our wedding was raving over it!

All of our guests were amazed at how beautiful it was, but even more so with how it tasted - all of our guests could not believe how delicious it was, saying it was the best cake they had ever eaten, and this is from people who had come from all over this country! The staff was always very friendly and pleasant to speak with. Each time I had contacted the bakery, whether by phone or e-mail, they were very quick to respond, always in less than 24 hours, even on the weekend. Our consultation was face-to-face, they offered GENEROUS portions of the tasting samples (we were even allowed to take the left overs home!), and assisted us through the entire selection process, offering examples and suggestions while also allowing us plenty of time to consider out options. We even had a few vegan guests that the bakery was able to accommodate with a small vegan cake, which was also DELICIOUS - we took home the left overs of this and literally could not even tell the difference between the vegan and non-vegan cake, icing and all! I would highly recommend this bakery for any special occasion needs, we will definitely be returning in the future.

My cake turned out exactly as I pictured, but even better the groom's cake was phenomenally done. It was a pretty intricate/life-like cake based on the Halloween movie Trick 'r Treat and I was worried it wouldn't come out life-like enough, but it was honestly perfect and everyone loved it. We had both red velvet and pumpkin spice and they were delicious! We even had guests asking if there was extra that they could take home.
