My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Venue this June. We mainly chose it due to the convenience of hotel rooms for guests (and a generous room block), the restaurant/brewery near by, amenities, and most importantly we were able to bring in outside vendors to cater throughout the night (which was important for us being multicultural, and most venues don't allow this). We worked directly with Carla. Leading up to our wedding she answered all our many questions, worked well with our wedding planner, and ensured everything was set up for our party. Not to mention the Westin staff was amazing led by Agnieszka. The food and drinks were great, and so many guests complemented our evening. We're very grateful to the Westin team!

We highly recommend The Westin Chicago North Shore if you’re looking for a hotel block to accommodate your wedding guests. The staff at The Westin Chicago North Shore deserve the highest praise for how valuable they were in making our wedding weekend as smooth as possible for us and our guests. Veronica Colpaert, the Social Sales Manager, coordinated a wedding block for our guests to book leading up to the wedding and facilitated delivering the gift bags that we had made for our guests. She was always friendly and prompt in her communication. In one particular situation, Gorges Dawood, the Director of Front Office, really saved us. There was a miscalculation on our part which led to us being short one room for our parents. He calmly double-checked all the records and found another room for us on the spot and gave us the same discounted rate as our current block. On the day before the wedding, the last thing we needed was more stress, and thankfully we had Gorges and the rest of the hotel staff who made everything great for us and our wedding guests. Our wedding was located at Chevy Chase Country Club, from which The Westin Chicago North Shore is conveniently located down the street. That significantly reduced travel time for us and our bridal party as we had a jam-packed day. It also significantly reduced travel time for our family and friends, many of whom travelled out of state to attend the wedding. Our wedding guests enjoyed the nice and clean hotel rooms at The Westin Chicago North Shore as well as the multiple dining options available within walking distance. The Westin Chicago North Shore is a wedding venue located in Wheeling, IL. This luxurious hotel set along the banks of the Des Plaines River and a short commute from downtown Chicago. The Westin Chicago North Shore’s largest event space is the 14,857-square-foot Ravinia Grand Ballroom. This stunning area is equipped with all you need for a lavish celebration. The event space can be configured in multiple ways and comfortably hosts up to 1,300 people in a reception-style layout. For smaller gatherings, the Ravinia Grand Ballroom can be split into separate rooms with the help of removable wall dividers. This option is ideal for festivities if up to 350 guests. Whatever option you opt for, this event space has ample space for seated guests, a dance floor, and live entertainment. Additional event areas include the Pre Function Space which makes for unforgettable cocktail hours. Once you’ve tied the knot, you and your loved ones can mingle and sip on beverages in this open and glamorous space. This expansive area is great for standing celebrations of up to 1,700 people. helle as well. Bridget was always readily available and replied quickly to my e-mails when I had concerns. She was so helpful throughout the whole process. We had a large group so it got stressful for me to figure out the room situations and everyone's check-in/check-out dates, but Bridget and Michelle were there to help along the way! The rooms were beautiful and modern, and the hotel was so clean. We loved the junior suite that we were able to get for our wedding night! There were nice touches in each rooms, such as, lavender pillow sprays on the beds, that our guests enjoyed. I couldn't have asked for more. Everything ran smoothly during our entire stay. We are so thankful to all the staff at The Westin Chicago North Shore, and highly recommend it!

We had our wedding at the Westin North Shore June 22nd weekend. We had a multiple day interfaith wedding and held two of our events here, Sangeet on June 21st and reception on June...

22nd. They were great to work for the most part, minus being sticklers for certain things, we wanted sparklers and they wouldn’t allow it, because they had certain rules in place which we didn’t know when we signed the contract. The convenience and location really sold it for my husband and I, so if we had to do it again, still would’ve gone with them. Nobody (us or our guests) had to run around from location to location everyday. Only other negative thing was that since majority of our guests were there the night before for the sangeet, they got a sneak peak of our reception setup. Someone (hotel or decorators, I’m not sure) didn’t keep the ballroom doors closed. I physically closed it myself once and a half an hour later when I passed by it was open again. We put so much time and planning into it and wanted to surprise our guests. Wish they had just left the door closed, but people did love our decor so I guess it’s ok at the end of the day.

ave a shuttle bus to and from our reception for our guest. They also made it extremely easy for our guest to get their welcome bags. We'd definitely recommend the Westin for your wedding room block!
