's wedding from an outdoor venue to their facility within days of the wedding! The Catering Sales Manager, Callie, was so wonderful to work with and made the transition so easy on my clients. The front desk staff and banquet were amazing as well. Hunter at the front desk was very proactive about getting our guest rooms organized and Standford, the banquet manager was very organized in helping us determine the best set-up for the day. The hotel itself is extremely well maintained, with a beautiful courtyard for photos as well as lake on the property so that you can capture indoor and outdoor photos on your wedding day. If this team can prepare for an entire wedding in one week without a single problem, then they can certainly make your wedding day stress-free. I highly recommend the Westin for ceremony, reception and overnight rooms!

ated. Amy was quite attentive to any concerns we had and responded to our requests in a very timely manner. The venue itself is beautiful and our decorator took it over the top! The entire staff were quite attentive and wanted to be sure the entire wedding party was satisfied. The food was superb! We are still getting compliments on the food!! The Food and Beverage Manager, Stanford Page and his staff went above and beyond anything we could have ever hoped for. We had the Rehearsal Dinner at the venue and the Chef assisted us in doing a custom buffet, which everyone raved about! I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly they got 147 people fed with a plated meal and I have not heard any complaints about ANYTHING! Well done Westin and thanks for making the Smith wedding one to remember. There are cheaper venues, but you will not get the individual attention and service that the Westin provided. Thanks again for a wedding well done!

used the Westin for everything the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. Many of my guest stayed at the hotel the entire weekend and said nothing but great things about the rooms staff and food. I also recommend the lighting department at the Westin they are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to those rooms. You will not be disappointed if you choose the Westin as you wedding venue.

Overall, Katherine was great to work with and very nice. Regarding the ceremony, the Westin staff truly helped in making my vision come to life. All of my guest raved about how the ceremony was elegant, classy, intimate, and fairy tale like. I was also blown away regarding how beautiful everything turned out. The food was great and all my guest raved about that as well. Overall, the Westin was a great experience and I am glad I chose them as a venue to celebrate one of the happiest days of my life!

Katherine and her team were amazing- they responded back to all my inquires within 24 hours, and always kept my best interest in mind. I can't tell you how many times I woke up in the middle of the night to quickly type an email to Katherine asking a question about the wedding, and for her to respond back the next morning answering everything. We had our ceremony and reception at the Westin and my guest raved about how elegant and sophisticated everything looked. Don't even get me started about the food- it was devoured! The food and entertained was the highlight of the wedding with our own pasta bar and food stations. Everything was down without a hitch and I couldn't have asked for anything better. aff at The Westin was a lovely experience from start to finish. Tisha and Noelle were our main contacts and they were polite, friendly, and helpful at all times. Tisha suggested a few add ons and adjustments to my vision that made our wedding so much more beautiful than I could have on my own. She was never pushy or trying to get us to spend more, her suggestions were genuine and tasteful. We came in slightly under our contract and Tisha was able to help us enhance our food and beverage plans to meet the minimum we had agreed upon so that we weren't wasting money. The food was fantastic, our tasting was one of my favorite planning events. The audio/visual staff was friendly and helpful and the uplighting/draping they recommended made our pictures look clean and formal. They were very reasonable in working with the amount of creativity/freedom I suggested with how we would do things. The Westin staff helped me create my wedding without making it a cookie cutter hotel ballroom look. People say this venue is on the expensive side, but if you consider that you get AMAZING food, a place to stay, basically all of your decorations, and such a pleasant experience with their staff, it is worth it. I wanted to have a formal evening wedding on a medium budget and I was able to do so at The Westin and get everything I wanted.

n had and I also loved how the banquet space had neutral colored carpeting and walls. It was sort of like a neutral canvas allowing me to create whatever look and feel I wanted for my wedding. During my early stages of planning I had no idea what I was doing but Amy and Noelle helped me throughout the whole process and made me feel at ease with everything. They really understood my vision and they went out of their way to accommodate my needs. They were always so quick to get back to me which was one of the many reasons why I loved working with them so much. The front desk and banquet staff were so courteous and accommodating and they made all of my guests feel special and important. The food was out of this world. My guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was. What I loved most was how easy everything was at the Westin. Their Wedding Package made sense to me, everything was spelled out in my contract and there were no hidden fees. Also, the Westin served as a one-stop shop for me. I had my rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception there and the best part of all was that most of my guests stayed over night. It was so nice and convenient for my guests to not have to drive all over the place, and if they were tired, they could turn in and go right up to their room. I would recommend the Westin to anyone. They truly went above and beyond to make my wedding a dream come true.

Natalie was to work with. The Westin had fanstastic food, service and our reception was just as beautiful I had always imagined it in my mind. Only two small complaints, during the reception, food and drinks sometimes got picked up before people had a chance to finish them especially if they walked away from the table. I know that the banquet staff is trying to do their job by keeping the room clean and beautiful, but you are paying for all of that food and drink and your guests are trying to enjoy them so it's hard to see it get thrown away. I have seen this done at many many weddings but now that I have been through the process I realize how wasteful and sometimes frustrating for your guest that it really can be (ie they walk away to speak to someone or use the restroom and come back and their cake is gone). The second item was not as much related to the wedding as the font desk staff late after the wedding. We were all sitting in the bar/lounge hanging out ( me in my white dress) and the front desk manager approached me ( the bride) to ask if I had a luggage cart in my room and if do it needed to be brought back immediately for other guests...it was 1 am my wedding night. My groomsmen had borrowed a cart to take all the gifts upstairs at the end of the reception ( which I was unaware of because was saying goodbye to our guests). The manager was just very rude and I thought it was totally inappropriate to approach me the bride in the big white dress and say " um excuse me are you with the wedding party." Really? My father tried to follow up with the another manager who apologized and a few days later with the GM but was unable to. This was just a small small small part of our amazing day and fantastic service that the Westin provided up to that point, but irritating none the less.

ot a complimentary room after the reception but when i got to the hotel for the reception i was asked what my room # was & then told they were all booked & then the wedding coordinator came into my reception in jeans & a sweatshirt & said "we upgraded you to a suite" when really they forgot & were trying to cover it up. Also, my table decorations were not @ all what i had instructed them I wanted. I was honestly very disappointed & wish i had picked a different venue.

We called the Westin Richmond looking for a reception venue; they had availability and offered us their brand new, gorgeous Chesapeake Ballroom. All of our money was tied up in the cancelled event as most vendors had already been paid in full, so we were unsure of what our reception would involve, but we were excited to have a venue. We told the Westin our situation and met with them later that day (the day before the event!) and were floored to find out that the Westin was able to make calls to some of the vendors that they regularly work with and found vendors willing to donate their time and services to give us a reception of our dreams. The chef at the Westin was able to assemble a buffet for nearly 100 guests with barely 24 hours notice and a hurricane bearing down on Richmond. And it was all delicious! The team from the Westin Richmond was positively amazing. The generosity and kindness from every person we met and worked with was unlike anything we had found during the entire year we had spent planning the other wedding. General Manager Feliks Schwartz opened his hotel to us; his generosity was unparalleled and the team he has put together completely made our event. The team of Jodie Munn, Director of Sales; Christina Wells, Convention Services Manger; Arik Cullen, Director of Catering; and Stanford Page, Banquet Manager, put together the most gorgeous event, and they did it with 24 hours notice. The Westin Richmond has ours and our families' respect, love, and gratitude for the wonderful event they put together. I cannot say enough good things about the Westin Richmond. The experience we had changed my opinions about the priorities for our wedding if we were given the chance to plan the whole thing again. First of all, its about the people you have to work with as the bride (or groom). There was so much going on in my life during the year we had been planning the other wedding, I could have REALLY used a team of people like we had at the Westin Richmond for that 24 hours. They were able to think about more details in 24 hours than I feel like I covered in 12 months of wedding planning. Also, I LOVED having our reception in a hotel in retrospect, which wasn't what we had initially planned. The reception went late and the folks that wanted to retire earlier were able to easily go upstairs to the extremely nice rooms, but the party continued for everyone else. The Westin Richmond had a bar that was open late and our party continued at the hotel bar after the reception wound down. And most importantly, everything seemed so seamless; the chef, kitchen, staff etc. was a part of the venue and the teamwork was so beautiful among the Westin Richmond team. The wedding we had planned was sort of a la carte, and I have tremendous admiration for how smoothly everything flowed at the Westin. Afterwards, we rode out the hurricane at the Westin Richmond, and everyone we dealt with there was professional, courteous, and kind, even when they were booked to full capacity and the hotel was on generator power. While I won't be planning another wedding anytime soon, the Westin Richmond will be our go-to for every reason for very many years to come. Thank you Westin

The rooms were nice, the group rate was even nicer, all of our guests were happy to have all wedding-related events right there at the hotel. The food was awesome (you'd never guess it was 'hotel food') and the bartenders were wonderful. The wedding package is pricey, but, WELL worth it! Christina Wells and Natalie Rausch coordinated everything for us and were so accomodating and helpful. I will miss communicating with them all the time :) The only disappointment we experienced was with regard to our wedding-night suite (which was complimentary...sort of...I'm sure the cost was included in our package so it wasn't really 'free"). We thought there might be a bottle of champagne or some food waiting for us in our room (I've heard of many other resorts and hotels doing this), but there was nothing special - just 2 robes laid on the bed (and no, you don't get to keep them). We were hoping for something special to round out the evening - if we'd known nothing special was going to be done, we would've brought our own champagne, etc. Overall, however, the Westin Richmond was the perfect choice for us. r there was so kind and very helpful. The food was so full of flavor and no one could believe that our food wasn't catered! The hotel provided everything! We had a free room for the night of the wedding, multiple colored linens were available to choose from as well as center pieces!! It was such a gorgeous wedding and we definitely got more then what we paid for! The Westin was so perfect! There are no other words!
