Our wedding reception was hosted at the Westin, and it was amazing! Important factors we considered for our venue were that it must be dog friendly, convenient for traveling guests...
, and ultimately affordable and the Westin was all that and more! We worked with Tess Howell and Amanda Gagnon. Both were so sweet and extremely supportive throughout the entire planning process. Towards the end, I was definitely a stressed and indecisive bride, but Amanda was so patient and helpful and responded to all of my many many emails and questions. They made the planning process so much easier for us. We had a lot of specific details (tea ceremony, money dance, private dance, cookie table, dogs) and they were on top of everything! The bi-level suite and groomsmen room were perfect for getting ready. It was so welcoming and provided us with snacks and champagne (even treats and a bed for our pups!) So sweet! All of the rooms were also clean and tidy. Majority of our bridal party were able to stay on the same floor as the garden terrace/ballroom, which again, was so convenient. All of the guests I spoke to loved the food and the overall ambiance. Everyone freaked out when our picture was displayed on the outside building and in the lobby. It was such a cute addition, and again, Amanda and Tess were extremely proactive and welcoming and ensured that we were taken care of from beginning to end. Thank you ladies for making our wedding so special! We love the Westin!
We had an awesome time at our wedding at the Westin Gaslamp! Kristina Cunningham, our events coordinator, went out of her way to make sure our day was perfect - and it was! From ...
our initial contact until our frantic return for left-over cupcakes -- we were treated like VIPs! Thank you to everyone, from the valets to the front desk to the banquet managers, Rolf and Mark - we loved our night and loved the Westin!
Great views, very accommodating but had some trouble with housekeeping...they left my room open and unlocked for hours...extensive parking, but great location
The food was pricey, but the food itself and presentation were good. There must have been some miscommunication with the kitchen staff because the food was served later than I had...
indicated on the itinerary I had provided to the hotel event coordinator and a little cooler than I expected.
