We held our wedding at the Westshore Grand in late July 2023 and hosted approximately 150 family and friends.
Matthew Moody (Catering Sales Manager) was an absolute pleasure to wo...
rk with and paid great attention to detail while being highly accessible and responsive from the booking process to the wedding ceremony and reception.
We chose the Westshore Grand because it had space for the wedding ceremony, a cocktail hour that followed prior to our wedding reception in a spacious ballroom that we were able to decorate. The hotel even had awesome patios and inside areas for great photo sessions.
Matthew and the staff were responsive and always accommodating to our needs to include arranging 'get ready' rooms and provided menus for us to order additional food and beverages. Steven Albright helped to keep the guest rooming list of our family and friends organized. He even emailed us weekly updates in an Excel format, which was greatly appreciated. The front desk staff was amazing and assisted with ensuring that the wedding party received their welcome gifts we put together upon check-in.
The Westshore Grand's accommodations are great, as the on-site self parking garage was a plus and free to everyone. There is also a valet service option available.
The Westshore Grand had very nice rooms, a rooftop pool, a restaurant and separate bar, awesome food, etc. that allowed us, our family and friends to have a wonderful, memorable experience.
I don't have any recommendations other than for Matthew, Steven and the hotel staff to do for other guests that they did for us, which was provide excellent service with a caring, personal touch.
hank You to Patty and her team at The Westshore Grand hotel for making my wedding amazing. My guest loved the natural lighting and positive energy received. Everyone said that this...
was the most organized wedding they had been to and I can't thank Patty enough. Our numbers were cut due to COVID, but I was still able to get my dream wedding and more! Ms. Patty Fernandez is so calm and caring, as I started to get that anxiousness closer to my big day she was a wave of peace and I can't thank her enough. The hotel is beautiful and is located conveniently close to the airport for out-of-town guests to come and a variety of restaurants for everyday dining and rehearsal dinner events. There are so many accommodations this venue offers; including the free shuttle, free parking in the garage, and amazing front desk and bar staff. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Patty and her team, this venue, and the location without any hesitation.
We had our wedding at the Westshore Grand and the place itself is just beautiful. There are so many different places to take great pictures especially in the atrium. But the other ...
big reason we chose to have our wedding there was because of the director, Patty. I can’t say enough about her, she was easy and enjoyable to work with from beginning to end. She’s so knowledgeable, professional, always responded in a timely manner. She made the planning process a lot easier plus gave us so many good advise. Overall the food, place and staff were awesome. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Our daughter recently got married at the Westshore Grand, formerly the InterContinetal Tampa. It was truly a magical wedding! The event coordinator, Patricia Fernandez, was outstan...
ding and made sure that every detail was done to perfection. Since our wedding followed Jewish Orthodox traditions, it was probably not the easiest to execute, but they were able to accomplish it flawlessly. The atrium, where the ceremony took place, was beautiful as was the ballroom for our reception. Our guests raved about the Kosher food, the service and the complete professionalism of the staff. The one phrase that we heard over and over at the end of the night was ," this is the best wedding we have ever been to". We are so happy that we chose the Westshore Grand! Our daughter's wedding was like a fairy tale .
There were a few reasons why my husband and I decided not to get married here but overall this is a stunning venue to be married in.
Thai is absolutely wonderful and if she would ...
have been available for day of coordination services I would have hired her on the spot. I just felt like I would have been in good hands with her. She is extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable in her job. She was always available and willing to answer our questions or address any concerns we had.
The food is delicious! We went to a few functions the venue held and the food was FABULOUS every time.
The things I didn’t like so much was the ceremony would have to take place in the atrium which to some I’m sure is beautiful but I didn’t want to get married in a public lobby. I also didn’t like the fact that they were unwilling to shut the elevators in the lobby down or re-route guest to additional elevators for 30 minutes during the ceremony since our food and beverage minimum would have been $15,000. I think a small favor to ask given the pricetag.
Other than that, this venue is amazing and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Thai. If this is the venue you decide on I can assure you won’t be disappointed.
Where do I begin?! I chose the Intercontinental early on in our wedding planning. I loved the fact that they only did ONE wedding per evening. This was a huge part of our decision....
Since we now live in TX and we were getting married back in FL; there were A LOT of emails back and forth through the process. They were always very accommodating whenever I was in town and would always make time for us to meet and make sure we were all on the same page. Our wedding day was truly perfect. From the moment we arrived to the hotel (we upgraded to the presidential suite which is totally worth it), we were treated like royalty. We had wine delivered to our room, there was a turn down service every night and the night of our wedding we had champagne waiting and a bed covered in roses, not to mention a great box of chocolates. They really made me feel special all weekend. Patty went well above and beyond to ensure every single detail of our wedding was perfect. The food was so good and we all know that wedding food can not be the greatest. Everyone raved about cocktail hour and the delicious foods and desserts served on our buffet. If you want to feel like the center of attention and not compete with other brides the night of your wedding, please look into the Intercontinental! The ballroom is beautiful and if you need help transforming it; get in touch with La Vie En Rose and L&L Events. Thank you again Patty!
This hotel was horrible. They promised me things in a written contract and then tried to back out on them a week before my wedding. They didn't communicate anything to me. They ...
promised champagne for all my guests then tried to charge me for it. They told us we could have black and white lines and table cloths and then said they didn't have enough black a week before the wedding. They treated me like i was any other guest the day of the wedding. When I asked for internet to print up my wedding vows they charged me for it. Not only once, but three times. The AC was not working in my hotel room, so we had to switch rooms. Most of my guests AC was not working and they all had to move rooms. I was told i would get free parking and got charged for it 4 times on my bill. When I asked to check in early it was like i was asking for a free wedding or something. Everything was a struggle with them. They promised us a free night stay on our anniversary and a breakfast after the night of the wedding and then we got charged for the breakfast and were told no its either or. Everything i had in writing didn't matter. When my dress ripped at the reception, i needed a quick fix and asked the hotel coordinator for her hair tie on her wrist so i could bunch up my dress underneath and go back to dancing, and instead of saying sure, she said, "well what am i going to use then when i go out drinking tonight. " The only great part about the hotel was the food.
Our wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Intercontinental. It really helped make our wedding day stress free. We all arrived at the hotel the night before and by morning ...
everyone was ready to start preperations. The Hotel is beautiful, and the food service was excellent. The down fall is that I felt it did not have very many locations for photography.
