Located in Ball Ground, GA, The Wheeler House is a rustic barn wedding venue. Bursting with Southern charm, this romantic setting is perfect for quaint countryside celebrations. It dates back to 1906 and was built by the owner of the Wheeler lumber yard with heart pine. Surrounded by century-old oak trees, this enchanting venue sets the scene for an unforgettable celebration.
In 2010, The Wheeler House was purchased by Georgia native Lee Lusk. He restored the house for the first time since its inception and, in 2011, the property welcomed its first wedding. The barn, built from reclaimed wood, was added in 2012 and serves as the venue's main event space. The surrounding town of Ball Ground sits at the foot of the Appalachians, and is bursting with small-town charm. It offers various cafes and sights for you and your loved ones to enjoy after your wedding day.
The Wheeler House has different event spaces across the grounds that you can use throughout your special day. A lush, draped arbor offers a picture-perfect setting for exchanging your vows. Our experience at The Wheeler House was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charm of the property—every corner feels thoughtfully curated, warm, and picture-perfect. The historic home, the beautifully maintained grounds, and the stunning barn all come together to create a wedding setting that feels both elegant and inviting. It was truly my dream venue!
What truly sets The Wheeler House apart, though, is the incredible staff. They were attentive, organized, and genuinely invested in making our day flawless. Laiken and Ashley were prompt with responding to any emails I sent and answering questions - they both made the process so easy! Emma Ray was our wedding coordinator and I cannot say enough good things about her!! We never had to worry about a thing—she is truly incredible and an amazing asset to The Wheeler House. Working with her was so much fun!
The Wheeler House gave us the wedding of our dreams, and we are forever grateful.

If you’ve come across The Wheeler House, search no further this is truly the venue that will make your wedding dreams come to life. From the moment we toured the property, we knew it was something special. The charm of the historic house, the rustic elegance of the barn, and the beautiful outdoor ceremony space all came together to create the perfect setting for our big day.
What truly sets The Wheeler House apart, though, is the incredible staff and how thoughtfully they’ve designed the entire wedding experience. From the start, they made planning effortless and stress-free. Their list of preferred vendors was such a lifesaver every vendor we found through them was professional, easy to work with, and aligned perfectly with the level of quality and care The Wheeler House provides. It made searching for florists, DJs, and caterers so simple, and we always felt confident that we were in good hands.
Throughout the process, the team went above and beyond from the delicious tastings and prompt, friendly text check-ins to see how planning was going, to the detailed final meeting where every last detail was covered. We always felt supported, guided, and genuinely cared for.
On our wedding day, everything ran flawlessly. The staff handled every detail with professionalism, kindness, and such calm confidence that we could truly relax and just soak in every moment. The Wheeler House made my dream wedding come true! We just got married there this October and from the moment I finalized a date with them (which they book up QUICK) to the moment I walked down the aisle, they were 100% helpful, professional, friendly and on point! I worked mainly with Laiken throughout the process and then my day of coordinator, Emma, who was fantastic! I never knew how stressful planning a wedding would be, but it was worth every moment once the big day finally arrived. It was nice working with the preferred vendors that The Wheeler House uses, they all work together so well and it takes the stress out of planning. I live out of state so sadly I wasn't able to make it to one of their open houses, but every vendor I spoke to over the phone was very helpful and answered any questions that I had. You will not be disappointed if you choose The Wheeler House for your wedding day, it is an absolutely beautiful venue. The outdoor space for the ceremony is elegant and so pretty. The barn is gorgeous inside with a huge chandelier and fireplace. It's so amazing to see everything bare bones and then how it completely transforms once all the flowers, decor, food, people and music make everything come alive. The actual Wheeler House itself is the perfect backdrop for all the pictures, which really ties it all in. Our families also stayed in the cottages just down the road from the venue and it was the perfect touch! The cottages were so beautiful inside. Its perfect for families or the wedding parties to sleep and get ready in. We were happy we stayed there, it came in handy that they were so close.
All my guests had so much fun, I received so many compliments on how perfect everything was and that it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever been too! I couldn't be happier or more pleased with our experience!! My husband and I had our wedding at the Wheeler House this past August and it was more than a dream! We signed a contract in January with 8 months to plan, and the Wheeler House made everything such a breeze. Our coordinator, Laiken, was so attentive and sweet, and organized the day perfectly. The venue itself is gorgeous. If I could relive it all over again, I would. My hope is that I will be invited to another wedding at The Wheeler House just to feel the experience of our wedding again.

Working with The Wheeler House was an absolute dream! The venue is perfect for a historic feel with polished details - my dream was for this to be a true souther backyard vibe and it was exactly that! Every member of the staff is so kind and they are always available to help anytime you need them throughout the planning process. I loved that they are all inclusive so you know your event is going to be staffed with the best vendors. They also have tons of recommendations for other vendors - dress shops, rehearsal dinner venues, hair and make up, etc. Kelle was my venue wedding coordinator and she was perfect! She was very informative and helped make the day perfect, her timeline and coordination of all vendors was so great and it’s because of her that I went into my wedding day feeling relaxed and was able to enjoy every moment. The Wheeler House truly is a hidden gem!

We had an absolutely incredible experience with our wedding at this venue!! From the start, our day-of coordinator Kelle was absolutely amazing—she worked with us beginning 60 days out and brought such calm, thoughtful guidance to every part of the process. As someone who can be pretty indecisive, I really appreciated her helpful recommendations, attention to detail, and willingness to answer all of our (many!) questions. She was also so kind and accommodating with our last-minute changes. One of the biggest things we loved was that the venue was all-inclusive—it made planning so much easier knowing that the DJ, food, and cake were all taken care of and included. The venue itself is stunning and full of charm, with so many beautiful spots for photos, and the getting-ready area was spacious and comfortable. I have a severe ant and bee allergy, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure the property was clear of fire ants, which helped me feel safe and relaxed—something I’ve honestly never felt at an outdoor event before. We also rented the Wheeler House cottages for our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and out-of-town guests, and they were perfect—clean, comfortable, and incredibly convenient for starting the day early with hair and makeup. We are beyond grateful for the whole experience!

We had our wedding on April 30th this year at The Wheeler House and it was an absolute DREAM!!! Everyone was so polite, kind, and responsive from the very beginning. Our coordinator, Ashley, was the best! She was flexible, answered all my questions, and kept me feeling positive and prepared! We also had THW package, which included arriving at the venue at 10am, and included vendors: Events by Dezine as our caterer, Confection Perfection as our cake baker, and The TC Show as our DJ. Each vendor was incredibly perfect and DELIVERED with their services - our guests loved the food and cake, and everyone was dancing all night thanks to our DJ, Brett! I will recommend The Wheeler House over and over again - we're so blessed to have had our special day here in such capable and helping hands!

The Wheeler House was a perfect wedding venue!! From the minute we toured, we fell in love. It has a perfect mixture of Southern charm & elegance matched with their AMAZING staff and recommended vendors. They did all the heavy lifting in the planning process and on the wedding day. They worked hard to ensure my husband and I were as stress free as possible all throughout the wedding planning process and on the wedding day. Special shoutout to Laiken, our coordinator who was our right hand man in this whole process - she treated us & out families like gold. I got engaged on June 22,2024 , my husband and I had looked at 4 other venues and called about 20 more. We made an appointment and went to tour the Wheeler house on July 5,2024. I immediately fell in love with the wheeler house and the people there!!! Such an amazing experience and team of beautiful ladies !! We booked it that day and we were so excited that we did!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!! We attended several tastings and everything was always amazing!! I was actually sad when the wedding was over! The Wheeler House and their recommended vendors were absolutely incredible for our wedding. We were drawn in by how beautiful the venue was and decided to move forward after having an informative tour and reviewing reasonable pricing. We were not looking forward to how stressful wedding planning can be, so we loved how inclusive The Wheeler House was and how easy they made the process. The package we purchased included the venue, catering (up to 125 people), DJ, cake, bartender, coordinator, tables & chairs, and more. They also had quarterly events to try various catering options and meet vendors, which was super helpful as we were making decisions. We were overjoyed to have Laiken as our coordinator, and we cannot express enough how wonderful she was - she truly made our planning and wedding day go smoothly! Every person we worked with during the process was easy to communicate with, helpful and kind. The care and attention to detail the coordinators and other staff members put into making the wedding successful is unmatched. We received endless compliments from our guests about our wedding venue, ceremony and reception - they thought it was beautiful and are still talking about how delicious the food was (we may need to beg for the macaroni and cheese recipe). One thing that made The Wheeler House extra special to us was that we felt like we could be absolutely authentic - they provided such a genuine and loving environment for us to get married, and that really made the experience top-notch. We highly recommend The Wheeler House!

The Wheeler House made our wedding an absolute dream come true! From the moment we connected with Ashley, we knew we were in great hands. Planning a destination wedding from out of state, on top of being in an active-duty military relationship, can be overwhelming, but Ashley’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless. She took the time to walk us through the contract, patiently answering all of our questions and ensuring we fully understood every aspect of the planning process. She even was able to add a call-to-action clause in case my Husband was deployed. Her responsiveness and dedication gave us so much peace of mind.
The all-inclusive package was a lifesaver! It was incredibly efficient, allowing us to focus on enjoying the experience rather than stressing over the details. Every vendor included was top-notch, and the coordination was flawless. On our wedding day, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect—not just for us but for our guests, many of whom had traveled long distances to celebrate with us.

I had a December wedding at the wheeler house and it was amazing! I love that the venue gives you everything you need, I was ever able to use their catering company for florals as well. Our day of coordinator was also fantastic, they really take all the stress off of planning because they do weddings every weekend and know the essentials like the back of their hands. The Wheeler House was everything I wanted in a wedding venue. I wanted to be as stress free as possible during planning and on the day of the wedding, and they delivered. Most things were already included in the package (catering, DJ, cake, etc...) and we also got great recommendations for other vendors.
Ashley, the coordinator, made the lead up to the wedding and the day of go so smoothly. She answered every question I had quickly and was always so nice to talk to. She even had drinks and appetizers ready for us as soon as we were finished with the ceremony!
I'm not exaggerating when I say almost half of our guests said this was one of the best weddings they had been to, and people are still raving about how good the food was! Our wedding at The Wheeler House was everything we wanted and more. I'll always recommend them in the future!

From the moment we stepped foot at The Wheeler House, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. There's something to offer every couple, from the historic house with beautiful wrap-around porches and a pool table for the groomsmen, to the outdoor ceremony space with newly installed turf and tall trees, to the breathtaking barn with high rafters and draping. The staff is professional and our coordinator, Emma, went above and beyond to make sure our day went off seamlessly. It's a common misconception that you sacrifice quality with an all inclusive option but that couldn't be farther from the truth with The Wheeler House. We will be recommending this venue along with our family & friends over and over again.
Separately, our wedding party stayed at The Wheeler House Cottages for our entire wedding weekend and it made our experience so much more enjoyable, continuing the celebrations after the wedding and having everyone in one place for ease. The houses were clean and comfortable and the staff was accommodating, letting us check in far earlier than the arrival time.

The Wheeler House was the most perfect venue for our wedding! From the beautiful scenery to the event staff, I could not recommend it enough! I worked specifically with Kelle and she made everything flow so smoothly. Not only was she my right hand on wedding day, she made sure to be easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding! She was easy to reach and very attentive to all my questions and needs! Kelle truly went above and beyond and I could tell she actually cared about our day!

This venue was absolutely perfect for my wedding! It's gorgeous and located in the cutest town! The staff was professional and kind from beginning to end. The all inclusive package made wedding planning super simple and every vendor included and recommended by the venue was truly amazing and high quality. The wedding party stayed in the cottages, which was so fun! They are so convenient and the fire pit was such a fun place to continue celebrating after the wedding night ended. 10/10, I LOVED this venue and all the people who work here. Our Wheeler House wedding was magical. We knew we wanted an all-inclusive venue because we didn’t want to spend a lot of time planning and stressing over too many details. The Wheeler House was the first and last venue we toured. The venue itself is stunning—there’s not too many details to stress over when everything is so charming on its own. And the wedding package included everything we could think of: a caterer, DJ, cake, tables, pews, linens, beautiful drapery and lighting in the barn, easels, and an incredible day-of coordinator and her lovely team to help everything run smoothly. Ashley was an absolute dream. She made everything feel so easy from the start. (She even hand wrote our welcome sign for us after I panic-asked her to.) If we had to do it all again, we’d pick The Wheeler House again.

From the second we walked on the property, we knew this was our venue. The house and barn were so perfect and the overall essence of the everything is so beautiful. It was stunning and sophisticated all in one. The package included the cake, catering, the DJ, linens, and settings which took all of the stress out in the planning. The staff was incredible! Everyone, especially Laiken, was so wonderful to work with and the level of professionalism was so refreshing. Even though this is their business, they still understand that it is a special day and they do everything they can to make your visions come to life. I cannot recommend The Wheeler House enough.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with The Wheeler House. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. The space is absolutely stunning and it was the perfect backdrop for our special day.
The staff at The Wheeler House were incredibly friendly and professional. They were always there to answer our questions and help us with anything we needed. Our wedding coordinator, Emma, was absolutely amazing. She was so organized and helpful, and she made the entire planning process so much easier.
We opted for the all-inclusive package, and it was the best decision we made. It took so much stress off of our shoulders and allowed us to focus on enjoying the planning process.
If you're looking for a beautiful and stress-free wedding venue, I highly recommend The Wheeler House. They will make your dream wedding a reality. 10/10!

The wheeler house decor and setting was beautiful! Their in house vendors did not disappoint! We loved the idea of their available packages that included the catering which none of my guests could stop talking about. It also included our DJ and our wedding cake all for our idea headcount of 125. It was the 2nd venue we toured and we knew right then at the open house. Oh and we also got a day of coordinator Emma she was amazing! Always so positive and handled everything! I love all of our photos from the wedding having the house or barn as the backdrop was just so pretty! I couldn’t have been happier with my choice on venues! I highly recommend the Wheeler House!

07/20/24. Our daughter's wedding was a dream at The Wheeler House. Our coordinator, Emma, was so attentive and so uplifting and positive. We can't think of one thing that we would have done differently. It was breathtaking. And best of all no stress. Everything went so smoothly. I would recommend Wheeler House time and time again to brides-to-be! Their team is warm, knowledgeable, and took the time to respond thoroughly to my (many) emails :). The venue itself is gorgeous. We used the barn for our ceremony and reception to escape the summer heat, and it was both beautiful and comfortable for our guests! The morning of our wedding came with a huge thunderstorm, but by early afternoon, the staff had cleaned up the yard of all the twigs, leaves, and branches that had been blown around, and it was like nothing had ever happened! We were able to take photos as normal, free of flooding and debris! Kelle was our day-of coordinator, and she was WONDERFUL! She is kind and calm, yet efficient, and her expertise helped me to be at ease on our wedding day. Getting ready inside the house was also a pleasure! There was more than enough space for myself and my 4 bridesmaids to get ready in the same room together. Despite it being an older home and getting married in the summer, it was very comfortable!

The staff at the Wheeler house immediately put us at ease as soon as we met them. It was clear that weddings are their passion and that they know what they’re doing every step of the way! We felt confident and comfortable knowing that our venue included so many awesome vendors and services. I will forever be grateful to tiktok for helping me find my dream venue! The Wheeler House made our day absolutely perfect! We toured with Ashley which is where we fell in love with the venue and Emma was our coordinator who made sure everything was running smoothly. Even with the scattered rain showers, they were on top of it making sure seats and decor stayed dry. And with the all day package we were able to enjoy the venue the whole morning as well as the event time! They were very communicative and helpful with any questions! Even more helpful, they come with an in-house caterer and cake bakery so I didn’t have to go searching- which were both also amazing!! First off this venue was beautiful. It looked gorgeous on the day of and in all the photos we have received back. Through this venue you get a day of coordinator which was also very helpful. I've wanted to get married at The Wheeler House since it first opened, and my dream finally came true! The staff is absolutely wonderful and made the day go so smoothly. Eden was my day of coordinator, and I have nothing but the best things to say about her! She was so kind, and she was made sure that the day went well. I loved that they had the vendor package with the caterer, baker, and DJ. It made the planning process less stressful. The food was delicious. I had guests tell me it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The cake was beautiful and so tasty! Also the venue is GORGEOUS! My only complaint is that you can't get to the venue until 2 hours before the wedding unless you pay more. I would have loved being able to get my hair and makeup done in that beautiful bridal suite. I HIGHLY recommend booking The Wheeler House if you want a beautiful, classic looking wedding! I can't sing the staff enough praises either! They are the best!

I had the most magical wedding at the Wheeler House on October 7, 2023, and it was a dream come true. Ashley, our coordinator, made everything so easy and stress-free. The convenience of having most of the vendors provided by the venue made the planning a breeze.
We rented the charming cottages for the weekend, which turned it into a memorable and fun experience with our wedding party. Getting ready at the Wheeler House was so relaxing, and the timing of the fall season was perfect. The setting was simply beautiful.
Our wedding day was filled with joy, surrounded by our closest friends and family, and we danced the night away. I can't thank the Wheeler House and Ashley enough for making our day truly special. The Wheeler House was such an incredible venue for my wedding. The venue is gorgeous, the Wheeler House team is lovely, their partnering vendors were great, and they simplified the overall wedding planning process making everything way less stressful. Other than the obvious beautiful visual aspect of The Wheeler House and the barn, I decided to go with TWH because of the wedding package offered and the venue adjacent cottages that are available to rent for the wedding party. They serve as almost a one-stop shop which simplifies the wedding planning process greatly. When you sign-up with TWH, you are booking your venue, caterer, cake, DJ, and day-of wedding coordinator. You can also rest easy knowing that TWH does not choose their vendors lightly, they are all incredible. Every vendor is very experienced, knowledgeable, helpful, and will make sure their products/services are perfect for you.
Since the wedding, we have received many texts and have been told by multiple people how beautiful and stunning the wedding and TWH were, and how truly amazing the food was. Also, I am so grateful for my day-of coordinator, Chelsea Beal. She was unbelievably helpful, sweet, and a leading calming force. Chelsea was able to respectfully command and direct the entire wedding party without being overbearing. She remained a calming force as to not allow myself (the bride) or the groom to stress. I would absolutely recommend The Wheeler House. FYI, The Wheeler House also makes a flawless background for your wedding pictures!!

We had our wedding at The Wheeler House on 7/1/23 and it was beyond perfect. All of my dreams and visions came true and it was absolutely beautiful. Our coordinator, Emma, went above and beyond to make sure our day was nothing short of spectacular. We met with her twice before our wedding date and went over little and big details. We discussed things I would have never even thought about. For our rehearsal, she was very thorough with our whole wedding party about who needed to be where and when. On the day of our wedding, Emma and her team made sure each piece of decor was placed where it needed to go and no detail was left untouched. They did a phenomenal job of bribing my vision to life. Leading up to the ceremony and even during the reception, Emma made sure the day flowed smoothly by keeping track of the timeline and letting us know when we needed to do certain things. My husband and I keep talking about how perfect our day was and that we wish we could relive it over and over again. We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at The Wheeler House and we wouldn’t have changed a single thing!

We booked a year in advance and still had to move our rehearsal to the morning before the wedding. This was only an issue because we found out a month before and had bridal party members from South Carolina, south Florida, Alabama, and all over Georgia to accommodate. Our original day of coordinator switched without us knowing then our second one was very knew and kind of clueless. We were told it was an all inclusive venue with a day of coordinator but that’s just it they recommend vendors but you have to reach out to everyone one and pay each one separately except the catering is included. We met with the caterer 5x before finally deciding on decent tasting food and ended up actually loving the food more than the venue experience. Our coordinator acted confused when asked by bridesmaids about the simple things and couldn’t help them so they did a lot of it on their own. We did get the cottages for an additional charge and I’m thankful we did with 10 bridesmaids there’s no way we’d all be ready in 2hrs. Only getting the venue 2hrs before the ceremony made everything feel rushed. We enjoyed the day because you only get one wedding and made the best of it, but I wouldn’t recommend this venue without extensive research on exactly what you’re getting and asking for the most experienced coordinator.

This venue provided different vibes on the same site so our pictures are going to have all different and beautiful backdrops! The only thing that went wrong is that it rained and of course the Wheeler House and our coordinator, Chelsea took the rainy day and showered me with the love and joy that every bride should have on their wedding day. Our wedding at the Wheeler House was an absolute dream come true. From the beginning, the staff at the Wheeler House were responsive, kind, and supportive in making our dreams a reality. They also partnered with and/or recommended several local, high-quality vendors too which made planning our wedding a breeze when we began looking for caterers, DJs, and decor rentals. The option to use the house as our getting-ready space was also incredibly convenient and made for great getting-ready shots. Our wedding coordinator Ashley was the cherry on top - she was SO organized, professional, and ready for any challenge we threw at her (even getting makeup stains out of a wedding dress). This is a dream wedding venue! The pictures does not do this place justice! When you walk on the property it’s truly breath taking! My coordinator was Emma! She was truly amazing and went above and beyond to make our day special!
