We loved Windy City Hitman for our New Year's Eve 2016 wedding reception! Our DJ was so much fun and really did keep the dance floor packed all the way through the stroke of midni...
ght! This team does a great job of making sure that everything runs smoothly throughout the evening and makes a point to get to know you and what you like to make sure they create the perfect atmosphere for your day. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because you still submit your music to them by hand instead of having a place online to submit your instructions and song selections. While this was not a huge problem for us, it would have been a solid 5 stars if this feature was available. It was a joy to work with The Windy City Hitman, and I would highly recommend them for any DJ services!
Everyone has commented to me about how great the DJ was at our wedding. The floor was packed all night long! They have great ideas that will make your reception unique and keep y...
our guest entertained!
Let me preface by saying my husband was very particular about who was going to do our music. He is a big music fan and wanted to make sure all guests there would feel represent...
ed and the urge to dance! So needless to say, he's a tough critic, and we both give Windy City Hitman 5 stars!
We met with Gary beforehand and gave him a list we had worked on with "must play" and "do not play" songs. Our must place list was all played during the day (and there was approx 60 songs on there). Also, we asked no requests to be taken. Whenever guests requested songs, he told them he couldn't do it unless the bride or groom requested which was great! Gary was so flexible and helpful throughout the planning process and actual day.
More importantly than anything...the dance floor was NEVER empty! I don't mean never had zero people on it...I mean it probably never went below 30 dancers out there (we had a wedding of 225). He was a complete professional but also had a great presence (but knew when to step back). Windy City Hitman is someone who really enjoys what he's doing and it reflects in the product you receive. Can't say enough about how pleased we were!
Gary at Windy City Hitmen was great to work with. He's very friendly and thorough and works to make sure you get exactly the feel you want at the wedding. The music was great, and ...

ght and we had nothing but rave reviews of how our wedding was the best wedding our guests have ever been too!! Thank you so much Gary for all of your help & being the best at what you do!!!

could read the crowd and kept awesome music playing the entire time!!
Good value, great sound. An outgoing personable DJ (the owner - Gary). Tried his best to cater the music to our exact preferences. Make sure you're very clear on what you want, and...
specific on wedding party names.
DJ was very nice and ran the party. He knew what to play for the crowd and there were always people on the dance floor. He ran the party but didn't overstep any bounds
They are beyond awesome! They made our day so great! Bobby was too good!!
I really, really wish I could rate these guys higher. The owner was great when my husband and I met with him. And the dance floor? Packed all night. Our DJ read the crowd like the ...
pro he is supposed to be.
I did have a problem with introductions. The DJ called me the week before the wedding to go over name pronunciations. Everything was fine. At the reception, he mixed up a couple of the groomsmen, but that was alright. I could forgive that...but then he proceeded to introduce my husband and I by MY maiden name!
You know, mistakes happen. What I didn't appreciate was the combative way he approached me at the head table, and I *certainly* didn't appreciate the way the owner basically covered for the guy when I called that week and was NOT at all apologetic.
So would I recommend Windy City Hitman DJs? Yes and no. The DJ handled music much better than I would have expected, but service lacked something to be desired. It's a toss-up.
Awesome staff! very well to work with! Made my wedding day amazing! Very professional!
From the beginning we knew we were in good hands. We dealt with Gary, who really made a point of getting to know us so he could assign us a DJ that would fit our personalities. Mor...
e importantly, he presented the company as they were, a professional, reliable, and yet fun entertainment company. We were paired up with Joe Fioretto who was the BEST DJ! He really read the crowd and kept the party dancing! We were so happy! More importantly, he immediately read our personalities and knew just what we wanted out of our party! We are so happy that we chose Windy City Hitman and we would recommend them to any couple who wants to keep all their guests entertained!
our dj confirmed the names and process for receiveing line. he kept the music going and no one left the dance floor. every guest enjoyed the dj

band parent's are from Mexico, therefore we had to have quite a diverse collection of music. The DJ did a amazing job in blending all the cultures and eras of music to keep the crowd happy and dancing. Everyone kept commenting that they had the best time dancing at our wedding. We reccomend this vendor to everyone.

Our DJ was great, when he started playing a song and saw that not many people were dancing, he switched it quickly and people came onto the floor!
