runs smoothly throughout the evening and makes a point to get to know you and what you like to make sure they create the perfect atmosphere for your day. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because you still submit your music to them by hand instead of having a place online to submit your instructions and song selections. While this was not a huge problem for us, it would have been a solid 5 stars if this feature was available. It was a joy to work with The Windy City Hitman, and I would highly recommend them for any DJ services!
Everyone has commented to me about how great the DJ was at our wedding. The floor was packed all night long! They have great ideas that will make your reception unique and keep your guest entertained!

We met with Gary beforehand and gave him a list we had worked on with "must play" and "do not play" songs. Our must place list was all played during the day (and there was approx 60 songs on there). Also, we asked no requests to be taken. Whenever guests requested songs, he told them he couldn't do it unless the bride or groom requested which was great! Gary was so flexible and helpful throughout the planning process and actual day.
More importantly than anything...the dance floor was NEVER empty! I don't mean never had zero people on it...I mean it probably never went below 30 dancers out there (we had a wedding of 225). He was a complete professional but also had a great presence (but knew when to step back). Windy City Hitman is someone who really enjoys what he's doing and it reflects in the product you receive. Can't say enough about how pleased we were!
Gary at Windy City Hitmen was great to work with. He's very friendly and thorough and works to make sure you get exactly the feel you want at the wedding. The music was great, and the dance floor was filled all night. Highly recommend!

Good value, great sound. An outgoing personable DJ (the owner - Gary). Tried his best to cater the music to our exact preferences. Make sure you're very clear on what you want, and specific on wedding party names.
DJ was very nice and ran the party. He knew what to play for the crowd and there were always people on the dance floor. He ran the party but didn't overstep any bounds

I really, really wish I could rate these guys higher. The owner was great when my husband and I met with him. And the dance floor? Packed all night. Our DJ read the crowd like the pro he is supposed to be.

ns. The DJ called me the week before the wedding to go over name pronunciations. Everything was fine. At the reception, he mixed up a couple of the groomsmen, but that was alright. I could forgive that...but then he proceeded to introduce my husband and I by MY maiden name!
You know, mistakes happen. What I didn't appreciate was the combative way he approached me at the head table, and I *certainly* didn't appreciate the way the owner basically covered for the guy when I called that week and was NOT at all apologetic.
So would I recommend Windy City Hitman DJs? Yes and no. The DJ handled music much better than I would have expected, but service lacked something to be desired. It's a toss-up.

More importantly, he immediately read our personalities and knew just what we wanted out of our party!
