The Winery at La Grange

Such a stunning venue and easy to work with! I’ve read and heard so many stressful sounding limitations about venue with crazy rules but La Grange is not one of them! Katie was so easy to work with and accommodating. Dog friendly, flexible, and the wines are amazing. They made the whole experience so pleasant. Not to mention all the guests raved about the beautiful setting. I cannot recommend this place enough!

After researching at least 60 venues and touring several, we chose La Grange for our ceremony and reception. They offered so much flexibility compared to other venues (recommended but didn’t require specific caterers), the discount when joining the wine club was an excellent perk and the ability to bring our own beer and liquor (with a VABC one day banquet license) made keeping to a budget possible. La Grange was also far less costly than other wineries. The event center built in 2000 was gorgeous and offers a simple rustic feel. Katie and Renee were great to work with.

We got married March 16, 2022 and it was the perfect day! The venue and event space is gorgeous, the wine is delicious, and the staff is wonderful! I highly suggest having your wedding there!

I was so pleased with our choice of La Grange when we first decided on it. It's so picturesque, and I knew our wedding would be beautiful in that setting. The event manager, Lorena, was difficult to get a hold of and when answering questions via email would answer half and then change her answer. She told them supply all tables & chairs...then it changed to only rectangular tables, then it changed to the caterer had to do all the set up. It was extremely confusing. She was very nice and appeared helpful whenever we spoke with her in person, it was just difficult to nail down who was doing what. I saw her once during our actual reception. If you want the entire place to yourself then you need to pay the full amount. We paid just the $1000 for the barrel room and patio and the winery was packed with other visitors (which was fine with me). Lorena did say she'd block the door to the patio, but she only blocked it for me to walk down the aisle, and during the ceremony people used it to walk outside. My main complaint was right after the ceremony (while the OUTSIDE and inside reception was going on) and we were trying to take pictures, they brought a giant SEWAGE truck and parked it RIGHT NEXT TO OUR SITE and workers were dumping raw sewage out. It was so disgusting. I immediately went to find her and she said it had to be done or the toilets would back up. They offered me two complimentary bottles of sparkling wine. I'm not sure that covers the fact that raw sewage was dumped out next to all my wedding guests. It's still a lovely setting, and if you can plan on not having much help from the events planner, then I would recommend it!
