The Winey Baker

Jill is a master at her craft and manages to perfectly balance style with substance when creating cakes and treats that are as delicious as they are beautiful. We served her sweet dessert table treats at our rehearsal dinner, and indulged in a traditional three-tiered wedding cake for our reception. She listened to our vision for our wedding weekend and brought the flavors of Maine to the forefront of each dessert. In addition to creating delicious delicacies that brought guests going back for seconds and thirds, Jill was an absolute joy to work with. I cannot recommend her more highly for your wedding, or any occasion that deserves some tasty goodness!!!

Jill was so incredible to work with! We got soooo many compliments from our guests on how good our wedding cake was. We had a tasting with Jill & got to taste a bunch of different cake flavors & dessert treats. We ended up going with a 3 tiered wedding cake & 2 types of whoopie pies. I showed her photos of what I wanted our wedding cake to look like & she did exactly that. She also did the desserts for my bridal shower and everyone complimented those as well! We will be using Jill for all of our dessert needs in the future!

We loved working with Jill! She was really accommodating in scheduling our tasting, and we loved everything she made for us. We sent her inspiration images for what we wanted our cake to look like and she nailed it. She took the initiative to coordinate with our florist on the day of the wedding to finalize decorations. All of our guests raved about the cake, and we loved it too! Would highly recommend working with Jill!

Jill was absolutely amazing to work with! She listened to every single little detail we wanted and made our dream wedding cake come true! As my husband and I are both professional pastry Chefs, we had high expectations as to what our wedding cake had to be and Jill did just that and more! Our cake was absolutely stunning, the flavors were amazing and it was the highlight of our reception! Jill is creative, easy to work with and beyond talented. Jill was absolutely phenomenal to work with! We did a two-tiered cake with an accompanying dessert table. Everything was AMAZING. The mini german chocolate cakes and blueberry cheesecake bars are to die for! We rented all of the stands so we didn't have to buy any of our own. She delivered, set up, and worked with our florist to finish adding flowers to the cake day-of. I could not recommend The Winey Baker enough!

Jill is so talented and provided the yummiest cupcakes/cake for our wedding! The cupcakes were definitely a big topic of conversation as many said “they are the best cupcakes we’ve ever tasted!!” Jill is so easy to work with and willing to offer her advice if you’re unsure about exactly what you want to have for sweets at your event. We couldn’t be happier with how everything came out and would 100% recommend The Winey Baker for any event where a sweet treat is needed!!

Jill was fabulous to work with! The tasting was amazing and she really helped us narrow down the desserts we wanted to include (so many choices). She was very flexible and willing to do whatever she could to help and make the whole process easier. Everyone raved about the desserts the night of and day after. Jill's baked goods are always amazing! The only thing I could have asked for was more of it!! She recreated the photo I sent her almost exactly, and it was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommended!

Not only was the cake delicious it looked amazing and just how we envisioned it. Family and friends couldn't get enough of the cupcakes. We used the Winey Baker to provide cake and desserts for our wedding in June 2018. Jill was an absolute blast to work with. She is the sweetest person and wants to make sure everything is the way you want it. We were planning our wedding from out-of-state so didn’t get to meet her until our cake tasting. Everything we sampled, cake flavors and desserts, were AMAZING. We ended up choosing her lemon oat bars, mini blueberry pies, oatmeal cream pies, and chocolate brownie salted caramel whoopie pies. Our cake was classic vanilla with strawberry filling and was one of the moistest cakes I’ve ever tasted. Everything was delicious and our guests raved about it. We also rented her stands and had her set-up our dessert table! Thanks Jill, for making yummy desserts and being an amazing vendor to work with!

Jill was such a pleasure to work with! From the first cake tasting to the day of the wedding she was absolutely great! She is fun and friendly and above all an incredible baker. Having a bit of a sweet tooth, we decided to have a 2 tiered cake with a desert table for our wedding day. We found Jill, "The Winey Baker" and had a tasting and it was love at first bite. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Jill is so sweet and easy to work with. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Many of our guests were raving for days after to my new husband and I about our desert table, to my mom and others. The desert table was a huge hit - and the best part? I was able to take some home at the end of the night and snack on them on the days following the big day! Not only are Jill's deserts and cakes totally scrumptious, but they are also absolutely adorable. We could not have asked for a better wedding dessert chef than Jill Drew, also known as “The Winey Baker.” From the moment she welcomed us into her home in the midst of an epic blizzard – she was willing to be flexible because she knew we had out of town visitors for the event and were determined to persevere despite the weather – we knew she could be an excellent choice to make our wedding that much sweeter. We fell in love quickly – with Jill, and her home-based business…and her treats! She was clearly passionate about and enjoyed her work. The tasting was absolutely delicious and filled with more variety than we could have anticipated and we were sold! Jill was incredibly flexible, working with us to budget and design a wide variety of desserts and a wedding cake to both feed our guests and fulfill our wedding vision. She was eager to incorporate our thoughts and preferences while sprinkling in words of wisdom about the benefits and disadvantages of different dessert options. When it came to creating our cake, Jill was also amazing! She was realistic about the goal of our wedding cake – with that many other amazing desserts, it did not necessarily need to feed every guest. Her cake and frosting flavors were delicious and the combinations endless but she worked with us patiently to design the cake that was best for us. She was incredibly communicative throughout the process and went above and beyond getting flowers to decorate the cake and all. Her finished product – an entire dessert table, replete with mini blueberry, apple, and strawberry rhubarb pies, shot-glass sized cakes (even better than cupcakes!), chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate brownies, and the star of the show – a gorgeous three tier wedding cake with multiple flavor layers with different frostings and a décor that fit the barn setting perfectly – was better than we could have even imagined! Our wedding day was perfect and we are grateful to Jill for being a part of it. We are already counting down the days till we get to break into our first anniversary cake! Thanks, Jill!

The cake was amazing! It looked perfect and it tasted delicious. Jill was fun to work with and we couldn't get enough of her desserts at our tasting. I wish we could have ordered all of her cakes and eat them every night. We had our wedding outdoors during the middle of the day, and the cake held out really well in the shade, despite horror stories you hear about buttercream and outdoor weddings. We got brownies and mini cheesecake bites too, but the cake was definitely the favorite. I hope the frozen tier tastes just as amazing a year from now!

Jill is AMAZING and she was the one who made our cake and the rest of the desserts for our wedding! Everything looked and tasted great! I highly recommend Jill to anyone looking for a baker! I will surely be using her again in the future!

Jill was absolutely amazing to work with, every step of the way. She was quick to respond to messages and SO sweet! When we met with her I had so many ideas and she helped us to bring everything together into the most gorgeous cake I have ever seen (and so delicious). We cannot say enough good things about her! What a delicious and beautiful cake Jill made for us! We chose 2 kinds for different layers, and she created the vintage style that I requested. Jill also made mini strawberry shortcakes for our June wedding, and knocked it out of the park!
