We had The Wood Vibrations, Peter’s duet, perform during our wedding ceremony and cocktail intermission at The Newport Beach House: A Longwood Venue over Labor Day weekend. Peter was approachable and communicative from our first interaction, which made our entire experience very enjoyable. Peter was super flexible and accommodating, letting us choose our own songs to be performed. There are so many memorable moments from our wedding weekend but Peter’s duet climbs close to the top of the list! Peter’s duet performance was incredible and we’ve heard similar sentiment from an abundance of our guests. We’d recommend Peter and The Wood Vibrations 12 out of 10 times, and hope to see them perform again in the future!

The inspiration behind The Wood Vibrations was to create a cover band with a signature sound. Combining our unique instrumentation with our voices and creative choices, we’ve forged a dynamic blend of musical intimacy and drama. The result is a style and energy that makes a distinct statement at our events and performances. With a repertoire of songs that ranges from atmospheric to floor stomping dance anthems from the last 80 years, there is music for everyone to enjoy. Our instrumentation allows for increased volume control and we offer different band configurations to fit into any situation. Exceeding expectations is what we strive to do. The Wood Vibrations cover a wide range of songs and genres including rock, pop, country, oldies, dance, disco, Top 40, folk, jazz, and classical. For weddings we offer 4, 5, and 8 piece band options. We also offer duo and solo configurations for smaller weddings. Every booking includes personalized planning sessions, MC services, insurance, song requests, full sound systems, music during breaks, wireless mic for officiant/speeches, and band lighting. We also offer ceremony music (guitar and violin), cocktail hour music, and DJ devices.

Peter Kelly is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and the guitarist/vocalist for The Wood Vibrations. His vision for the band was to create a totally unique experience by surprising audiences with unexpected song choices and the amount of sound and energy coming from a small acoustic band. He spends lots of time “over preparing” for each event with clients. He’s also a singer/songwriter (http://www.peterkellymusic.com) with music on iTunes and Spotify. He has performed with/for Leonardo DiCaprio, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Stevie Wonder, Angelina Jolie, Shannon, Mark Rivera, and many more.

ely exceeded expectations beyond measure in every aspect. Peter and Samantha performed during the ceremony which provided for such a beautiful touch. When the band was playing during the reception, the dance floor was packed and live. They created an energy that we could never have expected for our wedding, not to mention the variety of music they can play, catering to ALL ages in the room (this was important to us). Recommend the five-person band, as well, as this allows the band to play a much greater variety of songs with the addition of Tara.
The band also takes care of all of the small, yet important, details – setting you up with a microphone for the officiant(s) at the ceremony, setting one up for the speeches during the reception which Samantha assists each speaker with.
We continue to receive raving reviews from our guests about the band, too.
Highly recommend, will exceed expectations, and will leave you wondering why you ever even considered another band.

e floor was completely packed—and it stayed that way all night. There was never a lull in the energy, and because of that, the dance floor never emptied.
Our guests are still talking about how incredible the band was and saying it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to. We’ve received countless compliments about the music and the atmosphere they created. They truly made our wedding unforgettable, and we can’t thank them enough for giving us the best celebration we could have imagined. We would recommend them a thousand times over!

and even shouted for an encore. When researching music options we listened to many different sample tracks, but this group’s sound really stood out. They have a really great energy and repertoire and amazingly smooth transitions between songs within each set. We also really appreciate their range of musical styles so there were songs for everyone. Peter was very responsive from describing the packages to checking in with us as the wedding drew near. The band did an exceptional job with custom song arrangements and announcing the wedding party introductions! They also had a wonderful attention to detail during the little moments such as coordinating the microphone with our officiant, having a playlist that fit the vibe during breaks, adapting to changes in the schedule, adjusting the microphone during reception speeches, and even jumping in to help when the wedding party couldn’t find the candle lighters. We had such a fantastic experience and cannot recommend them enough!

They are kind people who genuinely care about making sure your wedding is the best it can be. Peter MC’d for us! He was absolutely amazing. Our wedding was almost 3 weeks ago and our guests can’t stop talking about the band!!! They were absolutely incredible. They play all genres of music, and are open to learning new things. When we had some late breaking schedule changes due to an unexpected event near our venue, Peter and the band rolled gracefully with the changes and were so helpful in keeping our celebration running smoothly. We got married at a restaurant and we were worried that a live band could be overpowering in the space. Peter worked with us to make sure the volume was ok for our young and elderly guests while also keeping the dance floor active with the perfect song selections.
We got so many compliments from our guests about the wood vibrations!! 10/10 would recommend.

rom the minute we found them, we knew that they would perfectly fit into our vision for how we wanted our wedding day to be.
Peter was professional and wonderful to work with- he even offered to hop on multiple phone calls with us leading up to our wedding to ensure that we were on the same page with the schedule and songs for our ceremony and reception. From there, everything else was stress-free and handled by them! We had a handful of song requests that they were able to accommodate, and having them played at our wedding made it that much more meaningful and memorable for us. We opted for the large band option, and we’re so glad that we did!
Prior to the wedding, Peter had asked us if we expected many people to dance and we said that we weren’t sure. Once the dance floor opened up after dinner, it was packed until the end of the reception! We had a bonfire and s’mores outside, and many of our guests started heading back inside early to make sure they didn’t miss any of the songs once the band returned back from a quick break.
Song after song, The Wood Vibrations truly knocked it out of the park! The range of their setlist is impressive and appealed to all of our guests, who ranged from ages 5 to 75. We had multiple people (both guests and even staff from our venue) come up to us during/after our wedding to ask us how we found the band and to say that they were the best wedding band that they’ve ever heard. We even had a few guests say that they would follow them to bars/their other public shows in the future! We can’t recommend The Wood Vibrations enough, and are already looking for an excuse to throw another party so that we can book them again! Thank you all so much for making this the wedding of our dreams!

oughout the evening asking, where did we find "these guys"? There was such joy in the room because of their sound. Having superb musicians including the most amazing violinist, Samantha, made my reception so unique and so much fun! Guests were videotaping her as she blew us all away with her talents. Their vocals were right on- per specific requests which they nailed perfectly.
Early on in planning my wedding, after a great conversation with Peter, he asked us to complete a form that was very helpful in organizing our wants for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We had a micro wedding of 50 people. I wanted a fun dancing party spirit. He took all the wedding jitters away of fear of no one dancing. People were dancing all night long with a nice balance of dining music as well, so my guests could talk and enjoy.
Every bride wants a beautiful sunny wedding day, especially for a garden ceremony. Well, it poured right at the time of the ceremony. Peter and the group pivoted so brilliantly dodging sheets of rain moving to a covered location on site without a hitch helping the ceremony move forward and be the best it could be. Our reception was always planned to be indoors, thank goodness, as the doors opened to the reception the music started and the party began! My guests were constantly saying what a fun and beautiful wedding it was...the clouds parted and the music continued making it the most memorable, joyous, and unbelievable day ever.

nsable. From ceremony music to our first dance, reading the room, keeping the dance floor packed and the party going right to the end, we could not have been happier with the band. We highly recommend Peter (guitar) & Samantha (violin) as a ceremony duo and the Core 5 piece band with dedicated female vocalist (Tara) for reception and dancing. Their depth and breadth of repertoire will please all ages, even those who may normally be reluctant to dance. We danced for hours to classics and favorites form the 60’s to present. Our guests have all raved about their performance and the photographers said they have not seen this many people on a dance floor, for this long, this year! Highly recommend The Wood Vibrations. When I was first looking for a band, my concern was to have a band that would be appropriate for my wedding with all ages of guests, but without sacrificing my choices in wedding songs. A friend told me when I look at bands make sure to see all the reviews for bands, the good and the bad-and I did not find a single bad review of these guys! That amazed me. Then, I reviewed videos, where I saw Peter's style of guitar, the phenomenal violin playing, the duet of male and female voices, and I could not believe their talent! Even though they play mostly acoustic, they have what it takes to get people moving, and were the special gem to make my wedding an unbelievable party. They offer flair and unique points to the songs you know and love, and get everyone dancing to slow and fast songs alike.
I could go on more about how all of the guests remain enthralled with the band and ask how I found them! So, to the entire band, thank you for making my special day so much fun. :)
And, thanks for learning my wedding song requests, and putting your heart and soul into those songs that I so truly cherished.

WOW! Our expectations were exceeded by far. They kept the party going all night with amazing energy and talent. They can play a good range of classics as well as modern dance beats. we had so much fun working with them and loved their unique blend of instruments including violin :) They played a beautiful rendition of Better Together by Jack Johnson for our first dance and sent us a recording the day before so we could practice. They also played beautiful music for our ceremony entrance and exit. We can't wait to go check them out again at Prohibition in NYC. Highly recommend :)

hour vibe with high tops, a bar and food stations. Our quest list was under 100 adults so we requested the Duo with Peter. They were fantastic! We received so many comments after the party how great the band was. We had a wide range of ages from small children to 80 year old grandparents. There was music for everyone to enjoy. We couldn’t believe the repertoire of music in their portfolio. From the classics to more recent pop, there was music for every age to enjoy. Some cover bands can seem very karaoke, but the Wood Vibrations were far from that, putting some of their own take on songs. The team was super professional and did not require any support with their set up/break down, and they brought all their own equipment. We were impressed and grateful they were able to perform on our special day.

g. We had instrumental guitar and violin at the ceremony and full 5 piece band for the reception. Our wedding was at a brewery so it was a nontraditional space but Peter handled it all with ease. We received comments all night long about how awesome the band was, and they kept the dance floor packed which was exactly what we were hoping for. They never overstepped with awkward "MC" commentary and were the perfect balance of fun and professional. I would highly recommend The Wood Vibrations for any and all weddings and events.

t things about them. They were so personable as if they were part of the family, and excited for our big day, talking and laughing with us. Their vocal and instrumental sound was incredible. They play all music genres and even learned a new song for us, which we really appreciated. Having live music for your first dance makes it even more romantic and memorable. Our guests really enjoyed them too and were dancing the entire night. I hope we can find another reason to celebrate so we can invite them back.

layed at our ceremony and our reception. Peter and his band, The Wood Vibrations, learned our song choices for the ceremony and they sounded great! Our guests all loved the songs that they played for our reception and everyone was up dancing. Peter was our Emcee for introductions and everything else at the reception and did a fabulous job. He used cues from our Day Of coordinator to follow our timeline for the day and he even accommodated us in rainy weather at the venue. The whole event was magnificent largely because of Peter and his band’s performance. A big thank you to Peter and all of his band members and team!

Prior to our wedding, Peter reached out to us to inquire about ceremony music and artist/song preferences for the cocktail hour. He played every single song we listed, and even came up with a playlist that completely mirrored the vibe of the artists/songs we had listed. So grateful to Peter and Samantha for making everything so easy, and for providing such a lovely atmosphere! We highly recommend them to anyone looking for instrumental artists.

On the day of the wedding, the band took care of our ceremony and cocktail hour music. And everyone loved their performances during our reception. So many guests came up to me and told me that they danced to every song!
The band was talented, professional, and so kind. We are so grateful that we chose them for our wedding!

and truly do it well, look no further. Not only were they easy to communicate with, but they are also extremely talented musicians. We ended up adding their service to our ceremony and could not be happier that we did. Peter played beautiful acoustic guitar music that really made the ceremony amazing. The band also learned a special song for our first dance and played it flawlessly. With their high level of skill and three part harmonies they kept the dance floor moving throughout the entire event. Our guests are still telling us how incredible the band was a week later. Every member of the Wood Vibrations seemed genuinely happy to take part in the wedding, and they kept the energy up throughout the entire event. Sean, the drummer, graciously and seamlessly took on the responsibility of setting up the audio and projector for our photo slideshow. The band was amazing at reading the crowd, and knew exactly what songs to play to keep the dance floor rocking all night. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough!
