We wanted a rustic chic feeling but with touch a glam since we live in the NYC but chose to get married under the trees and by a lake in the Poconos. She totally got it and nailed it! She was meticulous and her attention to detail was amazing (which is exactly what I needed as a bride who was planning it all). She helped guide me in finding the exact burgundy, dusty rose and ivory roses, as well as the greenery -- and of course the precise gold for our mason jars and twine. I wanted an ombre style all rose bouquet and what she delivered was even more beautiful than I ever dreamed it could be. It was jaw dropping! The pergola she created was teeming with bountiful roses and eucalyptus - simply stunning. While my husband and I stood in front of it, we felt like we were in a dream! Wish I could post photos of the beauty in this review because my words are not doing justice. We were literally blown away when she arrived with the breath-taking flowers and we got numerous compliments from our guests. Melanie is a rockstar florist who will only make your big day that much more special - her execution was flawless. We highly recommend Melanie and if I could give her 6 stars I would! Melanie was so accommodating meeting us at a location convenient for us to discuss our floral plans. She communicated so well and even accepts payments electronically, which was so crucial for us to plan our wedding from a remote location. Melanie was able to understand our vision for our floral arrangements through our email communication, and made necessary “seasonal” adjustments that were just perfect, based on her extensive knowledge of the blooms available during late March (when our wedding took place). She delivered everything perfectly packaged to ensure freshness for our ceremony and reception, and everything was just perfect, exactly what we discussed and beautiful. Melanie was extremely professional and considerate running any minor changes that needed to be made by me first. She utilized vases that we preferred to use and already had, and allowed us to ship anything extra that we purchased directly to her from the website that we ordered. Finally, nearly two weeks later- so many of our flowers are still alive and still just as beautiful as the day of our wedding! We recommend the Woodland Florist with the highest regards!
