Elsa, Megan, and Erin were the dream team! We sifted through multiple venues for our wedding, and none quite fit like a glove. The Woodlands website initially had us hooked. Information was up front, easy to digest, and we were pretty sure we knew what we'd get. After getting off the initial phone call with Elsa just to ask some questions, my fiancé and I knew we found the perfect venue. Elsa's professional and warm personality gave us that 'yes' factor and checked all the boxes. We weren't forced to use a caterer or bartenders that limited our options, which was a major selling point.
Throughout the entire process, Megan communicated well with us and guided us through the nightmare of wedding planning, and made it look easy. Ultimately, we did decide to add on a day-of coordinator to help ease our involvement on the big day. Best decision we could have made. We decided not to have a traditional wedding party and wanted our friends and family just enjoy the day. Erin was our day-of coordinator and was amazing. I don't know what I expected from that service, but she knocked it out of the park. I didn't have to worry about a thing. She made sure all vendors had what we needed, that our timeline flowed as it needed, and she made sure we took time to ourselves to make sure we ate, drank, and enjoyed our day.

Established in 2004, The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon possesses an enduring allure. Elsa, the founder, realized her dream of opening the venue with the assistance of her husband. Elsa grew up in Bozeman and always knew that it was and would continue to be her home. Full of a zest for life, Elsa and her team enjoy sharing The Woodlands with others, helping lovebirds mark the start of their newlywed life. She runs the venue with the aid of Jaslin, an event coordinator, and Katie, who helps with setup and decorating. Together, the team will combine their talents and enthusiasm to help you make treasured memories.
There are a few places throughout The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon that you can use for your special occasion. The Great Room, with its fireplace and elegant chandeliers, suits gatherings of up to 200 people. If guests want to take in the beauty of the outdoors, they can move out onto the patio. Weddings may also take place in the meadow, which boasts an idyllic setting for your vows. The venue is open from May until October. To help you transform the space, the staff provides tables and chairs as well as a selection of linens. In order for you to use the venue in a way fitting to your tastes and theme, the team allows you to bring in your caterer of choice. They also offer a selection of decor for you to pick from, as well as a ceremony arch. For your convenience, there are dressing rooms as well as a honeymoon cabin for you and your sweetheart after the celebrations are over.

ide ensuring the perfect day. They were so positive and easy to work with. Everything down to a map for power sources was provided! I got the deluxe package because there was several on site rental options I wanted to utilize, as well as the little cabin the night following the wedding. That package was the perfect option! The Woodlands team was there to set up and take down all the tables and rentals before and after, which was a tremendous help. All this on top of the fact that the venue is beautiful. Couldn’t recommend enough for helping to make the day as stress free as possible!

Megan was such an invaluable resource from the early planning stages, all the way through to handling all of the final details and touches. We are so very grateful we chose the Woodlands and that we were working with Megan for such a very important life event. She was extremely professional, creative, delightful, caring and CALM all the way through the entire experience. I would choose her in a heartbeat to plan any important event for us. We came out to visit venues in Whitefish & Bozeman and found a couple that we liked but nothing that we LOVED. I stumbled across The Woodlands when we were back home, we did a virtual tour with Elsa and immediately booked it sight unseen until the week of the wedding. When we finally saw it in person we were stunned at how much more beautiful it was in person. The drive in from downtown is absolutely gorgeous, you pull up to the venue and you're surrounded by trees. The Greatroom where we had our reception was meticulously maintained and updated, the dressing rooms were adorable and so spacious for all of the bridal party, everything just really made sense. Elsa & Jaslin were great to work with, I think Meaghan was our day of manager who was amazing and easy to work with. Everything just flowed so well. Great vendors really make a great wedding and you will not go wrong booking the Woodlands, and take it from us you can even do it sight unseen and be stoked. All of our guests voted our wedding one of the best, with a venue that was unlike any other they've been to. Thank you for everything!

rockstar! She hosted our rehearsal and made sure everyone knew their role while also having a blast. She troubleshot every issue that came up day of and had them all fixed before we even knew! in the area have worked dozens of weddings there so they know it well (no chance of caterers getting lost on their way to your wedding!). The only complaint I would have is that the staff can be a it hard to get ahold of at times. They don’t check their email every day so expect a few days to pass before any issues can be addressed. Overall, an amazing venue!

he property is gorgeous and they offer various packages to suit different budgets. The website offers a list of trusted vendors , and that was invaluable in our planning. We were happy with all of our vendors, and Elsa had worked with them all on many occasions and they all worked as a team on the wedding day to coordinate the details. We had the A team that day!
We had 70 guests from 13 states, so it was essentially a destination wedding, with so much planning from long distance. Elsa and Taye did a great job in understanding all of our concerns and requests. They even wore purple dresses on the day of the wedding to match our colors!
I can’t say enough about the personal touch and individualized attention that you will receive if you are fortunate enough to have your special day at this beautiful little slice of heaven. I highly recommend!
