We had our wedding here in July 2021 and we couldn't have found a more perfect venue in southwest Michigan! Josh Schlump and Bill Lewis were great to work with throughout the whole process. The food was amazing and people are still talking about it a few months later, same goes for the drinks! Between the servers, bartenders, and everyone else, the staff was great all day long. The ceremony space outside was perfect for us and looked beautiful, we highly recommend having your ceremony here too! The venue building itself is huge and it was awesome to have 2 separate spaces for dinner and for the reception/bar area. The patio is also very spacious and people were able to hang out out there all night, smoke cigars, and still listen to the live band. The girls got ready all morning in the bridal suite that's in the venue building and the guys got ready in the locker room in the basement of the clubhouse which worked out perfectly. The location is also great as the course is about 5 minutes from the Four Winds and a couple of other hotels and it was very easy to shuttle people back and forth. Almost all of our guests came from the Chicago area and this is such an easy place to get to right off of the first exit in Michigan. The flexibility that this venue offered was one of the top reasons why we chose to have our wedding here. We were able to get in on Friday and spend all day decorating and then come in on Sunday morning to pack everything up afterwards. Overall, this is such a beautiful golf course and wedding venue and we hope that they continue to host weddings and events for a long time!
The woodlands course at Whittaker is a wonderful wedding venue. We have nothing but positive reviews and would definitely recommend it to anyone! We got married there in September 2021 and every aspect was amazing. We received so many compliments on how delicious the food was. There were also plenty of very friendly wait staff. There is one large room for cocktail hour/ reception and another large room connected for dinner. There is also a spacious patio for guests to sit outside during cocktail hour/reception. This gave our guests plenty of space and it did not feel cramped at all.
The coordinators, Josh and Bill were wonderful to work with. They were very flexible, helped our wedding day run smoothly, and were very easy to communicate with. The venue only hosts one event a weekend, which was a HUGE plus because we were able to set up a few days ahead of time for our Saturday wedding. Also, after the reception, we did not have to worry about cleaning up our decorations and were able to come back Sunday morning to pack up. We were able to get in the venue early Saturday morning to start getting ready in the large bridal suite. Overall, it is a wonderful wedding venue!!
What an incredible venue. I would highly recommend booking Whittaker woods. My daughter got married in September and from start to finish we loved everything. Danielle was the best to work with and the venue, food, drinks were top notch.

This is an awesome venue for a wedding (which we had in Oct 2016). There is a separate facility from the golf course building that has a dining room which connects to a large room with a very cool bar and huge space for dancing .The natural décor is so unique-everyone raved about it.. There is also a beautiful area to have the ceremony outside-great for photos. Dressing rooms to get ready in the building, too. the best part, though, was working with Stacey James-the Special Events Coordinator. She is a delight and the most accommodating person to work with EVER. From the very start to the end, she handled everything, had great ideas and yet very flexible in accommodating your needs, look and budget. With all the stresses that come with wedding planning, she is such a delight and makes it so easy for you. Food was great and packages include a lot for your money. The staff who worked the wedding were all so professional and friendly. They genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a good time. Family atmosphere. Also, you can get in a day or two early to set up and can pick up everything to take home the next day so this helped tremendously. Especially since we came from Chicago and needed that leeway. Plus, a very quick and direct drive from Chicago for guests to attend. Run, don't walk to take a look and reserve your date. A+ for everything in our book.. We want to repeat the evening again as was so perfect!
This place was AMAZING! Jennifer was an awesome event planner. She was very available, understanding, and flexible with everything! We had sooo many compliments on the venue and the food. Everyone loved it and the outdoor ceremony was beautiful!
