The Woopie from the Chococoa Baking Company

In place of a traditional wedding cake, we went for whoopie pies for the dessert at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Julie at the Chococoa Bakery was a joy to work with. From our initial tasting up to the week of the wedding she was friendly, responsive and genuinely excited for our big day. We had 4 flavors: Classic, Chocolate w Raspberry, Lemon w Lemon & Lemon w Coconut Key Lime cream. Our guests couldn't get enough of them, we had only a few left over at the end of the night. I highly recommend Julie's whoopie pies for any and all events!

Instead of cupcakes, we decided to support a local Newburyport business Chococoa Bakery, who catered with their famous gourmet whoopie pies for our wedding. We loved that whoopie pies are a New England tradition, but came in delicious flavors like salted caramel, raspberry, chocolate gauche and pumpkin ginger. Julie and her great team even made custom bourbon orange cardamom whoopies for our after-party to honor my husbands Kentucky roots. I can not recommend Chococoa enough.

I worked with Julie Ganong to order whoopie pies for our wedding favors, and the experience was so much fun. Julie was so communicative and thorough during the process and offered to help me at every turn - by helping choose ribbons, tulip boxes, etc. And, she seemed genuinely excited to be part of our day, which was so refreshing. We ended up ordering individually wrapped whoopies in two flavors, which Julie and her team wrapped, arranged, and delivered with perfection. They were a huge hit at our wedding. I found some "Whoopie! We did it!" tags on Etsy and had them, along with some gold baker's twine, shipped directly to the bakery, and Julie and her team did a beautiful job putting them all together. These are THE BEST Whoopie Pies on earth! The frosting is so creamy, the cake is perfectly a whoopie pie and the presentation - amazing!
