We booked the Checkered Cab for our wedding and paid in full, then they notified us an hour before they were supposed to pick us up saying that the cab broke down and couldn't pick us up and they didn't have another cab. Do not recommend for your wedding we were stuck ordering Ubers to get to the venue.

The checkercab looked great and added something special to our day. The driver was very polite showed up on time and was accommodating. Only issues was that the a/c was broken and that it was hard to communicate either by phone or email.

We booked a cab and paid our deposit, signed a contract then THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! They took the deposit and left us stranded on our wedding! I would not recommend them to ANYONE! Awful business tact. Do not hire them. Hire one of the other companies.

Yes we do entertain last minute requests. and we did receive your deposit a few hours befo...
re the wedding., however as stated on the website we only Service New York City. Events in Upstate New York are too far and are only done if you choose to pay for towing the vehicle to the location and back.

First I will say, I waited until I reached out to someone looking for a resolution and none wasn’t offered. They never showed up! I confirmed that everything was confirmed a week before my wedding and even received reminders and alerts that everything was set. I was assured everything was fine multiple times by Mark Briggs. They never showed up from the church to take me to my reception so I called the number provided 3-4 times and was told all they could do was send an urgent message to the dispatcher and I never got a call! I then contacted Mark to let him know what happened and all he offered was that there was traffic. No apology. He then lied and said the taxi was 15 minutes late...but I waited 25 minutes and no show, no call, nothing. Horrible and not worth the risk to book them.

It looks as if your deposit was never received so the reservation was not confirmed.

Our wedding car was great, as we had a small wedding party it was the perfect size. Fabian the driver was such a pleasure and fun to be around. I think everyone expects the classic cars but when you have a classic New York taxi it's not often you see that

Checker Cab was a lovely addition to our wedding day! My wife-to-be wanted a vintage car for transportation to our ceremony; I wanted to pile into a dirty old yellow cab. Checker Cab's perfectly restored vintage cab was the perfect compromise. Our driver was prompt, went with the flow, and generally made a hectic part of our day (photos, transportation) go more smoothly. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

My hubbie and I are so glad that we decided to hire the checker cab as our personal limo for our wedding last month. The old school cab definitely turned heads, especially when the driver pressed his horn which played the entrance song for a wedding ceremony! The driver, Robert, was very professional and helpful when it came to taking photos with the cab (he even threw my veil for pictures!). Based on his experience, Robert made suggestions for photo opportunities and showed examples to our photographers. Robert also took photos on his Polaroid camera and surprised us with a gift by letting us keep the photos! I would definitely recommend the checker cab for a unique touch to your wedding day.

The Checker Cab was great top to bottom! My wife's father was a cab driver in the city so we liked the idea of her driving to church in the old school yellow cab. The driver showed up dressed in an old school wool suit with white gloves on and was professional, cordial and accommodating. They even gave us an extra hour on the spot so we could finish our pictures. These guys went above and beyond to make our big day special. I would recommend them to anyone.

Me and my wife used TheCheckerCab for our Wedding at City Hall and then around some nice photo locations in the city recommended by the driver. The car was a huge hit and t's in mint condition inside and out. It gave us the classic new york city feel we were going for. We also have some amazing drone footage of us in our cab driving away!

We got this car for our wedding getaway and it was amazing! Everyone loved it and the photos came out great.. I would definitely do it again given the chance.... perhaps for our anniversary.
