me and handled all my special requests. I was most impressed with their excitement and willingness to learn 2 custom songs for me. It was no problem for Bruce and the Band to learn songs and send me demo recordings. If you're looking not just for a great time, but a very seamless planning process I cannot recommend Bruce and the Grooves more. Thank you Bruce + Band!! You were awesome.

d reception) were 10/10.  From the first message, Bruce’s enthusiasm came through -  he wanted to make sure that we’d have the best dance party at our wedding. We wanted to have a saxophone and Bruce said no problem. We wanted to have a clarinet and he said no problem. For our first dance, they had a demo track recorded so that we could practice with the actual music. He worked with us on our song selections for the procession, recession, wedding party announcement, etc.  Melissa’s voice was the reason we found TheGrooves and ultimately decided on working with them. Her voice was stunning (as was Bruce’s and the other female singer that we didn’t catch her name). Bruce also rapped! And did a very convincing John Lennon “Twist and Shout”! He also helped us stay on track with the night’s sequence and came up to us during dinner to chat which was very nice.  The band’s music selection was great. We felt like there was a good progression to the night, with a good mix of songs, though at the very beginning of the dancing, we thought that there could have been one less Motown-type song, but this is a small nitpick: We gave Bruce a list of songs that we liked, but we knew that some on the list weren’t the most danceable songs and relied on Bruce’s expertise to select the best danceable songs. Our guests were very happy dancing the whole night, so we are happy! One thing that I think illustrates how good Bruce and the band were is earlier in the wedding, as the ceremony was getting underway, I caught Bruce’s eye and he gave me a big smile and a nod -  a very nice personal touch that I think other vendors might not take the time to do so. We felt we weren’t “just another wedding” but the most important people to him.  If you want a live band for your wedding, with live music for the ceremony and reception, then go with TheGrooves.
