I have planned large events off and on for the past 20 years as part of my profession. I must say, if you ever have a problem with Grace Ward at TRMF, it must be your fault.
We didn’t have a huge wedding, but having traveled much of the country either coordinating or just being a part of large intricate events, I cannot off the top of my head remember anyone more punctual, helpful or just generally easy to work with than Grace and her team.
The people of Medora and the multiple international and interstate workers there also made us feel like the entire town was aware of our wedding and so happy for us. What an experience :). So many of the travelers that heard us addressed at the musical remembered us as we passed each other in the streets and made us feel so special.
I would 100% not only recommend Grace and her team, I would actively push someone to work with them and do a Medora wedding. To us, that place has become so magical because of our experiences that it has become something on the forefront of my “never been there before” family’s mind since they first experienced it in 2020 as a covid relief vacation.
Please go and fall in love with the ND badlands and Medora. While at it, keep in mind the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. Become a donor and see first hand their attention to personal detail and hand signed mailings with hand written notes. See how they treat your junior rough rider and make him anxious to receive their mail from Medora. Then, call Grace and get married there!
Flexible and willing to change plans according to weather that wasn’t in our favor on our wedding day.
Our reception was wonderful! The venue is beautiful and they serve awesome food. I highly recommend the Rough Rider.
