There are a lot of things we changed and tweaked about our wedding to accommodate family traditions, preferences, etc. - so it was so nice to have her as the person WE wanted there on our special day. One of the best decisions we made! She let the day truly be ours. Theresa also captured my surprise engagement and helped my husband plan it as well. She is so creative and full of amazing ideas, and got excited for us unlike anyone I've seen before! We proposed to her (like - 10 minutes after I said "yes.") to ask her to be our wedding photographer. She was the first vendor we booked. Woohoo! She was so amazing on our wedding day - I can't even describe to you how intricately she was involved and how crucial she was to us. She was present throughout all of our planning, was truly excited for the beginning of my marriage and not just the bomb-ass photos she captured throughout the entire day. (Though, I must admit, if I could capture moments the way she can I'm not sure how I'd be able to focus on anything else!) Theresa was so punctual and prepared. She was the most calm and collected person involved in my wedding, despite it being almost 80 degrees and no AC in the church we got married in. Oh - and did I mention she was 37 weeks pregnant with her adorable son at the time? This lady is a boss! This amazing woman is so much more than a photographer. She is an artist, a story teller, a kindred spirit, and a true friend. I know I will call on her every single time I want an important event in my life captured. Having someone at your wedding to remind you that its just about you and the love of your life beginning your marriage is so magical. She was so present for us and was just glowing with delight the entire day. She is so JOYFUL! I am truly convinced she is the best photographer in the state of Alaska.
