appreciate you sharing how beautiful you felt. It means a great deal to me that you were happy with your look and your bridal party’s as well. It was a joy to work with you all. I did want to gently clarify a few points, as I always strive to provide a consistent and professional experience for every bride. My makeup trials are held in my home studio space, which is communicated as part of my booking process and has been my standard practice for many years. I also maintain strict sanitation protocols, cleaning all products, brushes, work surfaces, and my hands between each client. Regarding your sister and her baby, I’m so sorry if anything came across as anything other than supportive. That was certainly not my intention. I remember checking in with her to ensure she felt comfortable and offering space or a break if needed. As a mom myself, I always aim to create a calm, accommodating environment, especially in situations involving young children who may be having a difficult morning being away from mom & amidst the hustle & bustle of the day. For wedding day attire, I wear comfortable, non-distracting clothing such as jeans or dark pants due to the long hours and hands-on nature of the work. As a working artist, I am constantly handling products and tools throughout the day, and it’s not uncommon for makeup to transfer onto my clothing. For that reason, I choose practical attire that allows me to work efficiently while still maintaining a clean, professional appearance. Hair and makeup artists also aim to remain unobtrusive in the background of photos. This has been my standard for 18 years in the industry and has never previously been a concern. In terms of touch-up items, I do offer lip products for purchase for brides who would like one for the day, but they are not automatically included unless requested. I also encourage brides to wear their makeup throughout the day after their trial to test longevity, which you did, and there were no concerns raised about the lip color at that time. Lastly, I want to sincerely apologize again for any frustration around my automated review follow-up. I never intentionally reached out within 48 hours or asked why a review had not been left. I send a general, automated end-of-season follow-up to all of my brides, and unfortunately, yours was sent closer together than intended. Once I realized this, I did apologize, as I never want anyone to feel pressured. I truly value feedback and am always looking to grow, while also wanting to ensure my practices are clearly understood and fairly represented.
