Our photographer, Jessie Cowan, captured the day better than we could have ever imagined. In addition to beautiful family portraits and ceremonial highlights, she caught so many wo...
nderful little moments that we never would have seen — my aunt holding back tears, a candid moment between my wife and her mother, and my best man attempting the Dirty Dancing lift on the dance floor with another groomsman.
Jessie is also an absolute joy to work with. She has a wonderful way of interacting with people of all ages including kids. She can expertly assemble group shots when needed, or snap fly-on-the-wall observations in the middle of a party. She’s everywhere at once without being noticed. We still don’t know how she managed to cover every angle of our ceremony simultaneously.
We are so touched that Jessie took the time to get to know us and helped us create a wedding album that we will always treasure. She photographed our wedding day with a perfect blend of artistry and heart. We highly, highly recommend Jessie Cowan with a ton of enthusiasm!
Jessie was fantastic! She's a great communicator and genuinely cares about catching you and your family at your best. She took the time to understand the tone and the aesthetic of ...
our wedding and the photos didn't feel at all generic; they felt personal. In both posed and candid shots, she managed to capture so much joy within the small moments. Her photos were beautiful and intimate.
Jesse is not only a talented and truly artistic photographer but a really warm and lovely person who will make even the most nervous people take excellent photos! She did me and my...
husband’s engagement photos and they are my favorite pictures we’ve ever taken. She selected a beautiful location, made us both feel super comfortable (I forgot we were taking pics it felt like we were just having a blast hanging out). We brought our crazy dog and she took great care of him and got insanely good photos of that little wiggle worm too. Our solo shots are super gorgeous portraits and our family and couple shots are like snapshots of our actual personalities. I sincerely couldn’t be happier or more in love with these photos. I actually love these photos of myself too - and I’m typically hard on how I look in pics, I’m usually not photogenic. But in these I think I look hot!! Ha! And I can’t want to look at them and remember this happy time when I’m old and grey.
Jessie is a fantastic photographer and amazing person all around! She did a beautiful job capturing the special moments throughout our wedding day and was a calming presence in the...
midst of chaos - think wildfire, groom with broken ankle, forgotten pants to groom's suit...we had a lot of fun wedding day surprises. Jessie was absolutely amazing through everything and our pictures turned out gorgeous! It was hard to choose just a few to print out and frame because they were all stunning. I am very picky when it comes to photo composition and Jessie checked all the boxes with her style and ability to capture those special little candid moments.
Jessie photographed our fall wedding at our home. We wanted it to be a sincere and intimate occasion. Jessie emailed questions about our preferences beforehand and consulted before...
the event. She was great at navigating everyone and I felt at ease that she was on top of capturing special moments. The photos turned out beautiful and she really translated the magic and emotion from our special day. Would highly recommend her!
Jessie was great to work with for our wedding in Santa Barbara. She was unflappable when managing group portraits, even ones of all our guests with 100+ people, and I got so many c...
ompliments on her after the event. The photos were awesome and really reflected the spirit of our whole day. We also felt like they were really unique and didn’t look like everyone else’s. We can’t recommend her enough!
Jessie is a delight to work with. She met with us in advance of our wedding day to discuss her style of working and agree on shots and locations. On the day itself she was discreet...
and knew when to step in and step back yet captured all the photos we wanted. Her photographic aesthetic is unique - real, in the moment and veers away from the posed and expected wedding photography. This is what makes Jessie so special.
