theWit - A Hilton Hotel

We could not have been happier with our decision to have our wedding reception at theWit Chicago, and so much of that experience was thanks to Daphne Kirby, their Senior Catering Manager. From our very first interactions with Daphne, she gave us this immediate feeling of, “We’ve got you covered.” Wedding planning comes with so many details and so many things to worry about, but we always felt like we were in incredibly capable hands. Daphne was responsive, reassuring, and genuinely invested in making sure everything came together the way we envisioned it. The hotel itself was exactly what we were looking for. It has a beautiful contemporary feel, and the rooftop was an absolutely stunning setting for both our cocktail hour and afterparty. Having those different spaces within the same venue made the entire evening flow incredibly well while still giving each part of the celebration its own atmosphere. The tasting was another highlight of the planning process. We were able to each bring two guests with us to help develop the menu, and everyone walked away incredibly impressed with the quality and variety of the food. That carried through to the wedding itself—the food was excellent, the service was spectacular, and everything was executed beautifully. One of the things that surprised us most was the value. For the quality of the food, level of service, beautiful spaces, and a prime downtown Chicago location, we honestly felt we received tremendous value for what we spent. And that doesn't even include how impressive the rooms were for our bridal and groom suites. Most importantly, the level of attention didn't disappear once the planning was over. Throughout our wedding day and even into the next day, Daphne was just a text message away whenever we needed anything. That kind of accessibility and personal attention made a huge difference and allowed us to simply enjoy the experience rather than worry about the details. Our wedding reception was everything we hoped it would be, and theWit and Daphne were a huge part of making that happen. We would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a beautiful downtown Chicago wedding venue with outstanding food, service, and a team that truly makes you feel taken care of from beginning to end.

I can't recommend theWit enough as a wedding venue. We had our 45-person cocktail hour and reception at theWit. It is a very all-inclusive venue. No dealing with a ton of vendors, they do the food, alcohol and desserts along with providing the bridal suite. The spaces were already beautiful and needed minimal decor. All of our guests raved about how good the food was and how nice the staff was. We had a bunch of dietary restrictions, which were no problem. The coordinator, Marla was amazing. She answered everything quickly and made sure everything was on track. The whole event ran super smoothly, and I can't believe how low stress our wedding day was.
