Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design

We had a really bad experience with this vendor. Customer service is non-existent. I contacted this company and talked to a consultant about my daughter's upcoming wedding and what she had in mind for the reception; something simple. Catherine was supposed to get back to me but after 3 still unanswered emails, we have decided to go with another vendor that actually listened. Communication is key; if you don't have that, it doesn't matter how good your food is. There are dozens of good catering companies in the Miami area; what differentiates a good one from a bad one is customer service and unfortunately Thierry Isambert's consultant has no clue what that is.

My husband and I decided to marry in Miami, where we started dating 9ys ago... yet we both live in Europe (I am Brazilian, he is Italian). Doing everything long distance can be quite complicated, especially with food... I guess I am also less attentive when it comes to culinary (being a designer I tend to notice mainly the decor details 🙂) yet my husband comes from Sicily... where food is not only important, but a priority...! Though the wedding menu for him was his main concern, he was unfortunately too busy to meet up with vendors for the tastings, and I was terrified not to match his expectations!! Based on his notes and requets, we decided to go with Thierry's: fair value-for-money, top notch food presentation, perfect service, great quality, and of course... amazing food. True that for what we wished for, it came out expensive... yet lower than some of the "super fancy" caterings which to me seemed a bit of a rip-off... And we really wanted that upgrade... worth every penny! Catherine, Alex, Vincent and the whole team were extremely flexible, professional, and worked around our menu draft until we were sure we had what we wanted. When I asked for a "creative" salad... the Chef offered us a fantastic "cloche" edible garden - served french-style, table by table... with its "magic smoke" and flowers! (I am so still in love with it 😍). Our cocktail hour had amazing hors d'oeuvres and included stations: corners of sushi, crepes, crudo bar, mediterranean... our dessert area had chic petit-fours, a chocolate fountain, and an ice cream station... our guests commented the whole time how amazing the food and service were! Simply impeccable. (Catherine even organized a last minute tasting for my husband only a few days before the wedding, just so we were sure it was all as he had hoped for...! Nice touch ☺) And I could go on and on, yet words are useless to describe how nice it all was. Thierry Isambert's services must be fully experienced, and we highly recommend this company. After searching Miami for the perfect caterer for our wedding, our Planner Melissa from Luxurious Events introduced us to Alex and the team at Thierry's Catering. It was a great pleasure to work with Alex and his team from tasting to the wedding day. One of the things that my husband and I love to do together is cook. Being foodies, we really wanted to make sure that the quality of food that we served on our wedding day was something that we would serve to dinner guests at our home and also something we would want to eat. The Thierry's team truly delivered with our menu from start to finish. We have friends who are still telling us that it was the best wedding food they have ever had! We had heard some horror stories of caterers who WOW'd you at the tasting and just couldn't deliver on the big day. This was in NO WAY the case with Thierry's. Every single guest received a perfectly cooked, medium-rare churrasco and the presentation of all the food was impeccable. This was most definitely not an easy feat for 190 guests with food being made there on-site. We were so impressed with your level of execution, customer service and presentation. Thank you Alex and team for everything you did to make our wedding so perfect. We hope to work with you again in the future and will most definitely sing your praises to all those who will listen. Thierry's was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the food tasting to the table set up it was always a 5 star experience. On the actual day of the wedding all things sailed smoothly and the good was just as delicious the night of the wedding as the night of the party. The staff worked efficiently and professionally as the bride, I couldn't be more content!
