Seriously, look no further. Mandie was nothing short of perfection for our Scottsdale, AZ Destination wedding. Mandie was extremely professional and took all of my detailed requests to heart to ensure we received the photos we wanted. She was responsive and straight-forward with any additional charges since it was a destination. She worked through the longest day of the year while it was a hot and windy 105° June day. She made sure we captured the light even though the sun did not set until almost 8:45 at night. Once the sun did set, we surprised our guests with fireworks and were so glad she was able to capture a few perfect shots. Hiring Mandie was the best decision we made for our wedding day and captured memories.

I’ve been struggling to write this review for Mandie and James of Thistle and Pine Photography for months. How do you capture the fact that Mandie and I just connected from our very first phone call- through a month and a half of texts- to having to postpone photos last minute because of crazy weather. And somehow it all worked out and Mandie and James produced these perfect images that make me laugh, cry, and gasp because I can’t truly believe it’s actually my fiancé and I in the photos? I asked Mandie for timeless photos that aren’t too edited and that capture us. She delivered above and beyond any of my wildest dreams. She is a joy to work with and is goofy enough to make even the most awkward photo taking couple and make us look like we know what we are doing. She took every weird idea I had and embraced it- her eye for what will feel very silly in the moment but will make a drop dead amazing photo is astounding. There aren’t enough stars or ratings in the world to share how grateful I am to her for our photos. I am so looking forward to our wedding for the photos and videos that I have no doubt will be timeless and perfect. If you have any questions or doubt about booking with Thistle and Pine for whatever the occasion may be- let it go. Book them now- because I 100% recommended them and will continue to have them do photos for our family for the rest of our lives.

I cannot recommend Mandie enough. She has been my family photographer for awhile and she just did my elopement. I had pictures back the same night y’all!! It unexpectedly snowed the day of and she worked with what she had to still give us a good day. She was amazing in the planning stages as I had no idea where to get flowers from, hair and makeup, etc. She found vendors for EVERYTHING. Mandie goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy-even if it means hiking in the snow to get amazing shots. None of the poses were the basic ones that you see everywhere. It was timeless. You will not regret using Mandie as a photographer!

We had the absolute best experience with Mandie from Thistle & Pine. We became fast friends from the get-go, and she was so fun and easy to work with every step of the way. Mandie is AMAZING! She did an amazing job of communicating with me prior to our wedding day (I lived out of state) and made me feel so comfortable the day of my wedding! It rained all morning of our wedding day and we ended up having to go with our Plan B indoor option for our ceremony...she ensured me she'd get some great shots inside and was super encouraging. The rain stopped after the ceremony and she was able to get beautiful photos outside after all! I really appreciated her positive attitude the whole time! She was so easy to work with and based on the sneak peek photos she's shared, I'm absolutely in love with her work!

We hired Mandie for our small elopement in Savannah, Ga and from the start I knew we had chosen the right photographer. Mandie's eye for creativity and her fun attitude made our day fun and stress-free! She was open to our suggestions and desires and filled in the blanks with perfect in-the-moment shots of our family. I can't think if a single shot I'm missing from my day and she created so many I had never thought of. If you want a photographer who has your back and leaves you free to enjoy the moment then she's your girl!!!!

It is day 13 and those in the GQ magazine have accepted me as their own. I have grown to understand and respect their photogenic ways. Now I question everything I thought I once knew and fear I am no longer capable of being photographed in a normal manner. I know that those who try will not relent. They will capture others in my place…. But I will be ready Serious Note: Mandie. Is. Awesome! Her passion, enthusiasm and absolutely stunning gallery is what made her an easy decision. Before I get to her actual photos/work: Mandie is so friendly, loads of fun to deal with, and makes you feel relaxed when everything else is quite stressful…as if she was a true, long-time friend! She gave some hysterical one-liners to keep the smiles stretched (I’m not a big picture taker)! She had great ideas and helpful tips for our photos that turned a rainy day into majestic capturing! Mandie made me look pretty freaking spectacular! My wife was already gorgeous, but dang, she did magic for me..LOL! Honestly, look through her gallery and see for yourself! The weather on our big day limited our space for photographs; but, Mandie made it seem like there was no issue. She MacGyver’d that day like a boss! Mandie wasn’t just our photographer, she was an additional coordinator; as well as, she was an additional part of our wedding party! My wife and I could not begin to explain how awesome she is, she is the Holy Grail of photographers…you will not regret hiring Mandie!

Mandie is so friendly and cheerful. She brought the smile to our photography session. I am not comfortable infront of a lens but she treated us like friends that made me feel more comfortable. Her pictures were absolutely amazing and she captured some pictures of me and my child that I adored, which has never happened before. She is so flexible with date and times and went out of her way to rearrange her own schedule to suit ours. I would highly recommend her for any photography event or session and would gladly use her again

I live in rural Montana, and we got married within 6 weeks of getting engaged. We couldn't find a local photographer. Mandie jumped on a plane, no questions asked. She managed to capture photos that were so perfectly "us" with basically no instruction at all. My husband has a HUGE family, but Mandie effortlessly grouped us all in a took beautiful family pictures. We also did an on-site shoot on our farm, which were equally as breathtaking. Her experience and eye for natural-light beauty are a valuable asset. 6 years later I still receive compliments on our wedding pictures.

Mandie was a consummate professional throughout the entirety of our wedding ceremony and was extraordinarily creative with her shots given that there was no consultation period (we eloped). I would highly recommend her for all engagements, not just weddings.

Mandie is an incredibly talented photographer. She made me feel at ease immediately and has great ideas for posing and locations. She has a unique eye for photography and is clearly well educated. Our pictures turned out so dreamy and I love the colors. I had never used a film photographer before but am so happy I did. I got married on September 8th and Mandie was my life saver. Capturing every moment so perfectly. She showed up right on time with Starbucks for me (which was much needed that day) on time and ready to go. She came in with a huge smile and began working right away. She is a bubbly, loving, and amazing person. I could have not picked a better person to capture my day. I hired a photographer and gained a great friend.

Mandie is truly everything you want in a photographer and then some! Her creativity, style, and personality shines! She is an absolute blast in a glass to work with and cannot wait to work with her in the future also!

Mandie has done several important shoots for me throughout my life, all of which the quality of work is phenomenal. She started with my engagement photos. She has an eye for amazing locations and props and made us feel completely comfortable . Once you hire her for one event or special moment in your life, you will keep on using her. She has photographed each of my kids as newborns, and beyonc and we will be doing a shoot this week !

On what I was told would be one of the most stressful days, my wedding was anything but that with such a magnificent photographer. Mandie was my photographer for our destination vow renewal in Scotland. She goes above and beyond to make sure your day and your photos are amazing (including hiking 20 minutes through cold Scottish rain to get to your remote ceremony location). She has also done multiple mini sessions for my family. She is honest and fun to work with. Her work is beautiful, and I cannot day enough positive things about her!

When my original wedding photographer had to cancel, Mandie swooped in and SAVED. THE. DAY. She met us that same day and LISTENED as we told her what we were going for. She told us “I see your plan” and somehow, we knew she did. In hindsight, I couldn’t imagine anyone else being there to document our marriage. Mandie showed up ready to go (she even helped set centerpieces ❤️). Her calm, kind vibes were felt throughout the day. Also, her patience is stellar! I know from personal experience how hard it can be to get my entire family to be still at once ☺️. The images we received (ONLY A FEW DAYS LATER) brought tears to my eyes and so much joy to my heart. I can’t thank Mandie enough for the lifelong gift she gave us, but I will spend forever trying! You will not regret going with Mandie Medeiros! Also, if she asks you to crouch down in weeds, in your wedding dress, trust her vision!
