My fiancé and I met with Alex and had a great discussion of what we wanted for our wedding, which was 8 months away at the time. We were super excited, paid her the deposit and the...
n never heard from her again. Now, with less than 6 months until our wedding day, we are forced to find another florist. I would not recommend this florist.
Alex was a friend of my friend and have met her a couple of times. When I was planning my wedding, I immediately thought of her. She offered to come to our home since I have two ...
young children, which I thought was super nice. She gave ideas and we loved them. Super professional and sweet to our kids. My fiancé even offered to have her join his BNI group to which she declined saying that she was currently trying to rebrand herself and money was tight. We gave Alex a $200 deposit and she said she'd be back with ideas in 1 week (which would've been the 2nd week of June). Never heard another peep from her. Between my now husband and myself, we sent 4 texts, 3 phone calls with voicemails, a Facebook private message, and a Facebook post on her wall to which she temporarily blocked me from and then took down her Thistle Floral Facebook page. No wonder she is trying to rebrand herself! She has several similar reviews on Better Business Bureau and Knot.com. She is a thief. Be aware of her name since she will most likely be changing her business name. Stay far far away from Alex Lehr!
If I could give zero stars, I would have! When we initially met Alex, she seemed great - awesome ideas and reasonable prices. Feeling confident, we gave her our deposit during the ...
first meeting. That's about the last we heard from her. After 3 months of sending 4 emails, 2 texts messages and a voicemail, we finally got a response (we were waiting on our estimate). We were promised something that evening. 3 weeks later, another 2 emails, voicemail and 3 text messages, we got a very generic estimate - if within $1,000 is an estimate. We have finally decided to cut our losses and find someone else.
I love the arrangements that I got from Thistle! Lovely colors and mix of blooms.
I met Alex at the Bridal Fair and set up a time to meet in her house/studio. I had called, emailed and left messages when my maid of honor and I were standing outside her door knoc...
king for 15 mintues. We left, and a week later still no correspondence from her. Very unprofessional
I met with Alex at the bridal fair and was impressed with her work and booth. She was very professional when emailing me to set up a time to meet, and worked with my schedule. When...
I arrived at her "house/studio" it was a mess she was in her PJ's and there was a half clothed man on her couch. I was mortified thinking this person was going to be in any way involved in my wedding. My mother convinced me to stay for the meeting to be polite. She had good ideas and seemed enthusiastic. After our meeting I heard nothing back from her at all. She didn't respond to a single email or phone call. Thankfully I had interviewed with more than one florist. Anyone who uses her be warned I've heard from several others she stoled their deposit money. Worst vendor to work with.
My mother-in-law put a deposit down and was also guaranteed a 10% show discount. A week before our wedding Alex was unable to be contacted. She dropped the flowers off at the venue...
in the am before anybody was there. Some were wilted, the bouquet was completely wrong and it was awful. I have tried and tried to get ahold of her and she cannot be contacted. Recently she emailed my wife saying pay the invoice total or she was going to tack on a late fee.
There are other florists out there. Do not go through what my wife and I went through. USE SOMEBODY ELSE
I met with Alex 3 months ago, put a deposit down to save my date, was promised a quote within 2 weeks. It's been 3 months, after NUMEROUS emails and phone messages I have not gott...
en a single reply.
I was promised great service and was very sadly disappointed, I had high hopes for her as I saw her things in a wedding fair, however, after she took my money and didn't return my calls, I'm guessing she's not as professional as her work implied.
I loved the flowers for my wedding!! Alex really listened to what I wanted and worked with me until we got it perfect! I wouldn't change a thing!
...Better than I even imagined. Thanks, Alex!
Thistle Floral Design was fantastic to work with! Since they are a small company I felt that they really listened to me and took the time to help me find just what I wanted for my...
wedding. I especially appreciate their willing to travel for my event and their reasonable prices. Thank you Thistle for making my day so beautiful!
