First of all, I have to say Thistle is one of the most beautiful venues we toured. We were blown away. However, do not book here if you expect them to follow through with your wedd...ing. We booked our June 2018 wedding 17 months in advance since I am in medical school and we had a non-flexible date that we were planning to get married on. We drove from 8 hours away on our one weekend off from school to go tour this venue and we booked and paid the entire rental price the following week. We went on to book several other vendors over the following months. Everything was great until Thistle decided to have their Pub Manager call one Friday evening and inform us Thistle was cancelling all weddings. No one would return my call until the following Monday and I still was not able to speak to anyone in charge of making the decision to cancel my wedding. It also took an additional 2 weeks to have my money refunded to me. We now have vendors all booked 8 hours away from our home with no wedding venue. Thankfully we still are 13 months away from our wedding and are going to be able to tour more venues, but I could not imagine being a bride where they cancelled only 3 months before a wedding. I would not recommend anyone book a wedding here.
