Thornbridge Hill Estate (formerly Thistle Hill Estate) is a Modern Luxury Farm Venue in the countryside located in Whitesboro, TX. Privately owned. It is set out in the wild Horse Country of the United States. Here, this property boasts a sense of rustic luxury with all the conveniences, courtesy of all the most modern amenities. The ranches’ history dates back to the mid-1800s. Its previous owners held the rights to the property for more than one and a half centuries. Today, it is under the guidance of current owner Jennifer Horowitz and her husband. This dedicated individual and her partner searched for many months for the ideal property. Driving through the entrance of the ranch was all it took to convince Jennifer and her family that this was home. Fast-forward some years and they are now excitedly opening their gates to couples seeking the perfect retreat to tie the knot at.
Greeting you as you enter the Thornbridge Hill Estate is a towering cattle guard entrance with a quaint creek that runs parallel to the fences. One could feel transported to a serene world with the hustle and bustle of the city already a far and distant memory. Scattered throughout the estate are lush pecan trees and cow-grazing meadows, all of which add to a gorgeous backdrop for any special occasion. The venue’s chapel with its charming steeple contrasts against the dense forest behind it. Here, ceremonies of up to 110 guests can be held. It is climate controlled, ensuring couples and their loved ones can stay cool even in the warm Texas weather. Various outdoor areas provide ample space for couples to host all kinds of gatherings while surrounded by the natural beauty of this memorable destination. The Osage Hall is the latest of the additions to the ranch. Here, couples can enjoy their reception in a cozy setting designed specifically for wedding celebrations. Osage Hall accommodates 110 guests for a full service sit down reception or 150 for cocktail style receptions. We have a perfect spot for a large tent for larger groups!

gan and they are going about things differently than we are here in Texas so our wedding was cancelled not even once, but twice. With that being said Nick and I knew that we still wanted to marry each other but couldn’t quite figure out how to make it special on a budget since all of our family is back home in Michigan. We considered court after looking at tons of overpriced elopement packages because spending a lot of money on wedding with no one coming seemed insane but then I came across Thistle hill. My heart like literally jumped out of my chest at how beautiful the venue looked online and the two hour price fit right into our budget! I called right away and booked with them. Fast forward to our wedding day... we live in Keller so Nick and I spent the night at the Hilton in town and drove to the venue in the morning. I had my big fluffy wedding dress on, he had on his tux and everything about that morning was so not your typical wedding day feels. We had no family or friends there except my mother coming to help with our kids, we stayed the night together the night before when you are supposed to sleep separate, he helped me into my wedding dress that morning lol... I am saying all of this to say that although it was special to us, it just didn’t have the same full on wedding feel but when we stepped out of the car and we saw the chapel and Osage hall... that was the moment that I could care less who was there or what our original plan was. I had all the wedding day feels finally and it literally just felt “right” as if this was our plan the entire time! Jennifer and Glen took care of the music for us while I walked down the aisle, Glen put up the flowers we bought on the arch for us in the chapel, their boys were so sweet and they brought us all waters during our pictures! Jennifer got some of my most cherished pictures of a butterfly landing on me (she didn’t even know that butterflies remind me of my grandma who passed in 2012 and this along with her pearls I wore that day made it feel as if she were there with me) and my oldest son looking at me in awe and our whole family with the cows! She fluffed and positioned my dress perfectly for our photos, while my mom chased the kids, they switched and Jen even held and entertained our kids! She fixed my veil before I walked down the aisle, they went so above and beyond and I cannot put into words how absolutely wonderful our wedding day was thanks to Jen and Glen. They are truly good, caring people and you can tell how much love and passion Jen has put into this venue. It is absolutely gorgeous and if you are considering using Thistle Hill Ranch, DO IT!!
