It truly felt like they all became family by the end of our wedding! Thomas knows what he's doing. He has all the right relationships with all the vendors and professionals in the industry. He is a true expert as his craft and has a great eye for detail and aesthetic. As hectic as wedding planning is, I already miss it because he made it such a fun process. Thomas was always willing to meet with my family and I when we felt overwhelmed and he consistently went the extra mile to ensure we were happy. I miss him so much and I am eager for the next celebration in our life so we can work with him again!

but would visit the Del often and we fell in love with it. So much so, that we decided to have our wedding there. I researched the list of wedding coordinators provided to us by the Del and narrowed it down to the top four. We flew out to Coronado to meet all four selected wedding coordinators and met with Thomas Bui first. Within the first 5 minutes of our visit, we knew he was the one! My husband and I just canceled the rest, we didn’t want to waste their time. Being that this was going to be a destination wedding, timely communication was key. There was never any delay in communication with us when we reached out to Thomas, either text, via email, or phone. Because of this, not once did I worry that things weren’t getting done nor did I ever feel the need to micromanage. This truly put me at ease! I was confident I could fully trust Thomas with everything. With that being said, I also knew the vendors he recommended to us were top notch! Thomas was consistently on point with every aspect of our wedding! Our initial wedding date was July 2020, but with the pandemic we ended up postponing the wedding twice and Thomas was in close contact with us throughout. We ended up moving the wedding to Colorado and were married July 10th at The Broadmoor this year. Thomas coordinated the move to Colorado with every single one of our vendors in California and it was seamless! All 15,000 flowers were transported from California to Colorado in a refrigerated truck and they were beyond gorgeous at the wedding. I always had a vision for our wedding, but sometimes that can be hard to relay, but not with Thomas! He knew exactly what I wanted and made that vision come to life. Same is true with my wedding dress. Thomas and I visited a few bridal shops in San Diego, and nothing really caught my attention. Thomas recommended a designer by the name of Galia Lahav. We found a bridal shop in Denver that carried her line of dresses and was he right! I found the wedding dress of my dreams! Thomas and his team have superb attention to detail. Everything was perfect the day of our wedding, there was nothing I would change. We were absolutely amazed and beyond impressed with his work! Friends and family have described our wedding as stunning, magnificent, breathtaking, beautiful, classy and elegant and have said “It’s nothing like they’ve ever seen before” and my favorite, “The wedding of the Century”! My fairytale wedding came true thanks to Thomas Bui, and we will forever be grateful!

Now imagine that and transporting yourself to the other side of the world (12 time zones away) and you may feel a sense of hopelessness or lack of control over such a creative process. For my wife and I, that was exactly how we felt when we set out to plan our San Diego wedding from the UAE (San Diego because I’m from there). Now enter Thomas, a very friendly, easy to get along with person and very well connected in the event planning industry – additionally, he has an incredible attitude, bringing a sense of calmness and measured control during the planning and execution phase. We started a year out for planning this wedding and during the first eight months, it was the occasional email on “let’s decide this because this is when we need to decide it” which was perfect given the time difference and our busy schedules. Crunch time came around T-4, when we were planning to meet Thomas for the first time (he was hired based on an initial Skype interview and seeing him plan other weddings for my family members). As expected, our schedules changed and we could only be in San Diego a month later; “no worries” said Thomas, all vendor were able to accommodate the schedule change with the utmost courtesy. Meeting Thomas for the first time at the Park Hyatt Aviara, we ate our way through a 20-course taster to dwindle the selection down to 8 choices. We picked out the final invitations with the meal choices and stopped by Blush Botanicals to see the proposed table settings and florals. I’m certain there was a ton of work in the background but to us, it was effortless and fun. We come back to San Diego a week before the wedding with what we thought was a nearly finalized wedding plan, but we had a few ideas to make the wedding more fun and enjoyable for our guests. Conversations from one week out began and all ended like this: Conversation #1 Us: Hi Thomas, can we please have an ice luge for next weekend next to the bar outside? Thomas: Of course, I know a good ice sculptor. How big do you want it and what do you want inscribed? Conversation #2 Us: Hi Thomas, can we ask Melissa to print out detailed itineraries for all of the guests given it’s a 3-day event? Thomas: Of course, I’ll coordinate with her. I think you get the message here – the answer was never a no and no request was too much. We even asked to have free roaming peacocks at our farewell brunch – Thomas enquired and then suggested that we shouldn’t have them because they shed their feathers in October; featherless peacocks wouldn’t be too fun and we passed upon Thomas’ suggestion. In hindsight, we probably could have asked Thomas to import some from Australia for the brunch and he probably would have found a way. It’s this measured calmness and impression of being in control (and actually being in control) that gave us the calmness and confidence to push to the finish line. Having a panicked and tough to deal with wedding planner would have deteriorated our event which thankfully Thomas was not in any way.

my wedding day since I was a little boy, but this weekend proved that I didn't dream big enough. I never imagined just how beautiful it could have been -- and our actual wedding exceeded all of my wishes as a young boy. THANK YOU ALL for creating the best day of our lives! Just look at his website and you will see his creativity and passion for design. He listens to your vision and then figures out ways to enhance it. He doesn’t try to change it. He understands it’s YOUR wedding. And you can trust him completely. He asks questions and makes suggestions - many times things you wouldn’t have thought about. He has an extensive list of recommended vendors for varying budgets. But the truly exceptional value of Thomas’ skills is right before and on wedding day. He confirms every detail with all the vendors, venue arrangements etc. right before the day. Then on wedding day, he and his team are there, from first thing in the morning until the venue shuts down. Everything runs smoothly. You don’t need to think about anything, because Thomas and his team have thought about everything. All you have to do is enjoy the day. This is so important for EVERYONE - bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents on both sides. Things go wrong, but Thomas handles them behind the scenes and you never know it. You are free to enjoy your very special day. We are so thankful to have found Thomas. We recommend him without hesitation.

he style and what I envisioned for the my wedding, he took it from there. He picked vendors that perfectly suited my personality and style, and completely respected my budget. I wanted lots of flowers and really only said the words elegant and lavender, and he created a design board with ideas and decorations I completely fell in love with. He is the sweetest person and fun to work with and communication regarding small details such as choosing plates, chairs, etc was a breeze because he had already narrowed everything down to something that worked perfectly for the venue and occasion. On the day of the wedding, his team was AMAZING. Bonnie was the nicest, sweetest woman who took care of me and did everything including steam my bridal party's dresses. She fixed my shoes, carried my train, and made sure everything was perfect. The planning came out even more beautiful and spectacular than I could have ever imagined and everyone was talking about how amazing the ballroom looked. Thank you so much Thomas and Bonnie for making our dreams come true and making everything that I wanted but more come into fruition. Love you both!

called. Are we glad we did? HECK YES! Thomas went above and beyond our expectations. We had no idea all the details that go into planning a wedding. If we didn’t hire Thomas we would have been in over our heads. My wife and I aren’t the most “organized” people. Thomas made the wedding planning so simple and easy for us. He kept us on track throughout the entire process. He made sure we checked everything off our “TO-DO” list, and reminded us of important deadlines. I remember calling Thomas a few times “freaking out” during the planning process, and he helped calm me down and refocus on the tasks at hand. Thomas is fun, friendly, professional, prompt, and passionate. The list goes on. Now that the wedding is over, we truly consider Thomas a friend. We know!!” This kept happening. EVERYONE loves Thomas, and because of this- everyone wants to help! He was able to recommend THE BEST vendors for us. He got to know us, and was able to recommend the best people to match our tastes and styles. Also, with this- he’s always on your side, and is trying to get the best for YOU! We never felt like his attention was divided. We really felt like we were an important client, and even though our budget wasn’t huge- he made us feel like first-class clientele. I know Thomas works with upper-crust society, and we were treated with total respect, and attention the whole time. He was always on our side, and was willing to help us out every step of the way. Thomas doesn’t take on more weddings than he can at once- to make sure he gives everyone his total attention, and this was VERY clear. His taste is impeccable. I had a very specific aesthetic I wanted to achieve, and most wedding coordinators I spoke with didn’t even understand, or want to throw us into a “packaged” kind of wedding. Thomas understood what we wanted, and payed EXTREME attention to detail to make sure it was exactly what we liked- and not someone else’s vision. His team is amazing. His day-of team was friendly, warm, kind, and tireless. We felt so well-taken care of! They were just lovely people, and made the day so easy for us. Your wedding day only happens once- and you’re going to want to be able to not worry about the details, and just have fun. I was so calm the whole process because I knew I could trust everything being in Thomas’s capable hands. I cannot praise him as highly as he deserves. Being someone that lives in LA and travel for work 80% of the time, I knew that I had to hire a wedding planner to take care of everything. However, being as picky as I am, I spent hours online doing researches on who's the best in San Diego area. I'm not gonna lie, there were plenty of wedding planners that have glorious reviews out there, and I had plans to meet a few of them. The first person we met with was Thomas. We chatted about my vision, he threw in his thoughts and understandings of how I wanted the wedding to be, and we immediately clicked. The way he explained my vision was exactly how I've always imagined (but more colorful), and we came out of our initial meeting, decided that we were going to go with Thomas. Throughout the 9 months planning period, Thomas was there every step of the way. He's very attentive and responsive. He will make sure your questions/concerns get answered no matter where he is. He made the whole planning process a breeze. We were able to set a few dates to pick out vendors (i.e., cake, flowers, etc.) and because I traveled a lot, we relied on emails. Also, it's important to note that all the vendors adore Thomas. He keeps a great relationship with them, and each one of them are best of the best. Did I mention that Thomas is dedicated and passionate? My wedding happens to fall on Thoma's birthday, and Thomas did not turn it down, and worked extra hard on his birthday, to ensure that my wedding was perfect. What I really love about Thomas is that you can share anything with him. You can bounce ideas off of him and he will give you his honest opinion. It's one thing to bring the Bride's vision to life, but it's a whole new level when someone can tell you what will work out and what are things that might not work out as nice as you hoped. Thomas and his team are very professional and fun to be around. Shout out to Bonnie Tran! She was running around the Bridal suite and the guys "getting-ready" room all day, but managed to be there whenever you needed her (you'd almost think she has twins!). Everyone on Thomas's team is amazing and it was truly a joy to get to know these individuals, and I appreciate all the hard work that the team has done for my wedding. Thomas is not just my wedding planner, he's a friend that I would visit when I'm in San Diego.

Combined with talent and vision, Thomas brings integrity, painstaking meticulous attention to detail, consistency and accountability Planning is not only Thomas’ forte; Thomas also excels in execution. On our wedding day, everything started on time. The bridal party was not rushed. The girls and I were fed (crucially important if you’ve met us). Several comments from my bridesmaid were that they felt this was the most “chill and relaxed” getting ready process they had experienced. During this time, Thomas was also juggling the ceremony set up on the rooftop, dealing with all of the vendors that were coming in and out, and making sure that the groomsmen had their suits and were ready to go. To make this more complex, Thomas and his team had one hour to flip the ceremony to the reception during cocktail hour, which included hanging grapewood and orbs on lucite. The whole thing was carried out with precision and meticulous attention to detail. When I walked upstairs, every chair, every menu and place card was neatly in its place. Nothing was left to chance by Thomas. Thomas is also the type of person that pays attention to the small things his client mentions. Having shared a love for macarons and knowing that we wouldn’t be having them, Thomas pulled the strings and made a table of macarons in the shape of our monogrammed logo. His thoughtfulness to do things above and beyond what is required truly touched my heart. We wholeheartedly recommend Thomas and cannot be more grateful that we had the opportunity to work with this incredible person on such a pivotal moment in our lives. We hope he brings as much joy, serenity and much needed sanity during your wedding planning process as he did for us.

On the day of my wedding, my husband turned to me and said I'm sorry that I fought you every step and Thomas is worth his weight in gold. My husband was amazed how well organized Thomas and his staff were. Thomas is a conductor on the wedding day. He had three assistants to help coordinate everything. Without him, I know nothing would have started on time. We started planning our wedding with Thomas over a year before. He literally drove us to all the potential venues and churches for two days. I was very adamant that I did not want a reception in an hotel ballroom. Thomas found us the most amazing venue (the Santaluz club) that was amazingly affordable. Thomas was present for every step of the wedding process. He recommended vendors, set up and went to meetings, and handled all the communication. I could not have planned my wedding without Thomas. I live 7-8 hours away by car from San Diego and I was working full time. I barely had time to take care of my normal life let alone plan a major event. If you are planning to have a major and expensive wedding, hire Thomas. Thomas is not the wedding planner you want to hire if you are on a shoe string budget. Not only does Thomas plans weddings in San Diego but really anywhere. He has an amazing set of contacts. For example, our photographer is from San Francisco.
