For weddings in the Hudson Valley area, Thompson Ridge View Farm is a breathtaking venue to leave your guests in awe. The venue allows you to customize your day to your exact vision. You can dress up or the barn space as much as you like to make it uniquely yours. You are guaranteed great views and a relaxing cocktail hour out on the patio. An underrated aspect is how together everyone is. There are no separate rooms, different sides, or going out somewhere distant for fresh air. You and your guests are together the entire evening flowing in and out, dancing, grabbing a drink, and enjoying the evening all as one. The ceremony location is truly breathtaking, and I've attached some photos of the views. It is SO nice having the venue for the full weekend and having access to the wedding cottage for the wedding party. It makes you feel so at home the entire time. There is plenty of parking on-site, and parking is very close to both the venue and the reception for elderly guests/family members. Busses are allowed, as the farm is only a few miles away from hotel options in Middletown and beyond. Travel is easy for any family that may be coming in from NYC, Jersey, etc. When looking for a rustic wedding venue in Hudson Valley New York, look no farther than Thompson Ridge View Farm. The family SO accommodating and SO loving. They take pride in what they do and they do not miss a detail in getting the space ready for your day.

First off, WOW. My husband and I got married here on 8.26.23. To say that it was the best day of our lives is an understatement. A huge part of that was all about the location and of course the wonderful Gros family and staff. My husband and I have been obsessed with this venue since we were told about it by a friend. From the very first time we visited the venue to the days after the wedding Janelle and the entire family have been nothing shy of a blessing. Janelle is very helpful with literally anything, she’s a true professional and you can tell through her dedication to make your special day is perfect. I still keep having people stop me in stores to tell me how much they loved the wedding and how amazed they were by the venue. This venue is truly a hidden gem in the Hudson Valley. Of course there are rustic barn venues all over the Hudson Valley, Thompson Ridge View Farm truly is different and special from all the others. Not only is the venue all inclusive of ceremony site options, reception and cocktail hour, photos, getting ready, etc., but it’s right off 302 with a breathtaking view of the ridge that you wouldn’t be able to see anywhere else in the area. We will forever dream about the sunset the night of our wedding! Oh and let’s not forget the barn and cocktail patio. This space is perfect for so many things, we had 250 people at our wedding and there wasn’t a single moment of cramped mingling or squeezing past anyone. The space is ridiculously large but still cozy at the same time! My bridal party and I were able to get ready at the cottage on site the day of. Not only was that super convenient and made the day obviously easier but, wow. What an experience, it’s tucked away before the barn on the same property, it almost feels like you are somewhere else. Somewhere out west! The beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace and gorgeous cathedral ceilings and of course the choice of furniture throughout. It honestly felt like a suite of a super high end hotel. I highly highly highly 10/10 recommend Thompson Ridge View Farm for any of your special occasion events. This venue had a lot to do with our big day being so perfect. We can’t thank the Gros family enough for sharing their family farm with us. If you have any reservations about not booking this venue, I suggest you reach out to Janelle anyways. My new wife and I could not have been more pleased with choosing Thompson Ridge View Farm for our wedding venue. To start with, the farm is absolutely beautiful! Rolling grassy fields, amazing views of the mountains, a boho-chic rustic barn with a newly renovated cocktail patio. The fire pits made for a memorable evening under the orange sunset sky and crisp fall air. We even took advantage of the awesome Axe Throwing option which was a COMPLETE HIT! The beauty of the venue was only outmatched by the incredibly wonderful operators, The Gros Family. In every way, The Gros made us feel as though we were partnered as friends or family, not customers . Their willingness to go the extra mile to help support us on our special day was so genuine and kind. They were flexible, patient, easy to work with, and simply just good quality individuals. Thank you Thompson Ridge View Farm and Gros Family for providing such a beautiful all around experience that will be impossible to forget in our minds, as well as every single guest that shared our special day with us! This venue exceeded our expectations and more. The family that owns this farm are the most accommodating and wonderful people to work with. The barn is absolutely stunning and the views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this venue for your special event. The sunset through the barn doors is just beautiful. Having your wedding here is a must!
