However, it was hard getting in touch sometimes. they set an expectation of timelines (when contract should be signed, payments due, etc.) and didn't stick to them at all. Everything was figured out in the end, but it made me a bit more anxious than I needed to be since I was worrying about losing my set date. Also 4 stars because we were not able to do our little bit of decorating until the day of. we actually stayed in the attached Air BnB, and we were not able to do any dinner or decorating at our rehearsal. Grand scheme.of things, everything went smoothly and I was happy with how it turned out.

Nicole deserves a special shoutout as she was particularly helpful, but the entire staff was just so amazing... Everything was really classy and pretty, the linens were nice, the floors are dramatic and beautiful and the outside was so very lovely, perfect for photo ops. I would definitely recommend Thornager's for a venue and for catering if your wedding is in Flagstaff. You won't be disappointed!

She had their baker come by and piece it back together which in the end, turned out beautifully and no one knew the difference with the cake. Karen was good but in the beginning, she was hard to get a hold of at times for questions and concerns.

The staff were fantastic and really attentive towards us and our guests on the day and the food was amazing. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone! Karen was very helpful planning our meals keeping in mind our budget constraints and the fact that the food was traveling a few hours to the canyon. She was honest with us about what would still taste great and what would not. Many guests raved about the food. This says something because it travelled two hours to the canyon! Also I was doing pictures so didn't taste them myself, but apparently the appetizers were to die for! 2. They offered us the option to rent a large tent the day of because of rain in the forecast. The weather cleared, they didn't put up the tent, and we were not charged. We truly appreciated this customer service as of course weather created some stress the weekend of the wedding. 3. The staff was incredibly professional and helpful. They were putting food away when a few guests showed up late to the welcome party. These guests happened to be my vegan guests, and only the meat and tortillas were still out. They got everything else back out again for them. This was truly appreciated. 4. Karen sometimes took a bit to respond to emails, but if you can be patient, it is worth it to hire her and Thornagers for any event you need to cater.

as a small 78 or so people wedding) loved the food, the look and location of this gorgeous venue. They have prices for every brides budget and worked with us on the little extra things we wanted to have (like hot chocolate and eggnog). The events manager, Eric, did a great job in helping us with whatever we needed and was so kind, never once lost his temper with all my Aunts who were helping out with the decorating :). We had a semi-rustic winter/Christmas wedding, and Thornager's was the perfect place for it. Karen's Christmas decorations went perfectly with ours and the foot of snow that was outside made for the most beautiful pictures! I would recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat. They were absolutely fantastic and made our wedding day completely magical.

We were able to custom design our menu from scratch. I would highly recommend booking Thornager's as your venue, or even just to cater at your reception. Their service is very professional and memorable. Our guests complimented the service, food and venue countless times during the wedding and after. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and caterer, especially for such a great price!

140+ people was going to be a lot of work. Planning and Preparation: Karen was very professional, pleasant and paid attention to the details. She provided all options and presented them in a way where I was comfortable to choose what I wanted for the event. She was timely and thorough with her proposals, provided tastings and even came up with new menu items as requested. Karen’s professional manner and attention to detail gave me confidence in knowing I didn’t have to worry about the success of the catering during my wedding. Wedding Day: Karen’s staff is just as professional and committed to customer service as she is. Tim who managed the wedding day was quick to make adjustments when needed and catered to making sure the event ran as smoothly as possible. He even went out of his way to address not catering issues as they arose which went above and beyond what was expected. Overall: I can’t begin to thank Karen, Tim and Nancy who made the wedding day such a success. The guests ALL loved the food and could not stop talking about how tasty everything was and that the service was exceptional.
