Thread and Needle Alterations

I was recommended this shop from the bridal salon where I bought my dress (Something New). I was very pleased with the attention and the expertise the staff with dress alterations. They did a great job altering my dress, it fit perfectly and I felt like a princess. They were also super in providing advice related to which undergarments to wear and how to prevent any redness from the dress fabric rubbing. I highly recommend coming here for your dress alterations!

I was recommended to Thread and Needle through a friend who also got her wedding dress altered here and I couldn't recommend them enough. Although I wasn't asking for any extremely drastic alterations they were still extremely receptive to what I wanted and talked through everything with me. I loved the end result of my dress and it was exactly what I asked for. I spoke to Fabiana a lot and she was always so supportive and friendly. They are so skilled at what they do and I can't recommend them enough.

My wedding gown needed significant alterations and I was so nervous about who to trust. After reading tons of reviews and asking the staff at several bridal boutiques, I went to Thread & Needle and I am so glad I did! My gown turned out absolutely beautifully, and Norby and her daughter Fabiana are a delight to work with! After losing a bit of weight in the last couple weeks before the wedding, my gown needed to be taken in at the very last minute. They were fantastic about making room for me in their busy schedule & completed the work in plenty of time. I felt so happy and comfortable in my dress on my wedding day, and I have Thread & Needle to thank!

Thread & Needle Alterations were amazing! I was recommended to come here by my bridal dress shop Something New Bridal Boutique and I'm so glad they sent me here! The girls did an amazing job hemming my dress and creating the bustle. They even took photos of me in the dress at my final fitting and took a video on my phone of the dress being bustled so that my MOH would know how to bustle it on the wedding day. My dress looked amazing and I felt like a princess. Would definitely reccomend them to anyone looking for dress alterations!!

Thread and Needle went above and beyond in altering my dress! The girls are so sweet and gave their honest options when I asked questions about my dress and accessories. They knew exactly what needed to be done to make my dress fit perfectly and it turned out perfectly. Our wedding ended up being rescheduled due to COVID after my dress was altered and needed more adjustments when our date finally came. Thread and Needle completed these alternations at no extra charge, which was so appreciated! I highly recommend Thread and Needle!

I was very nervous to get my dress altered, but once I stepped into Thread & Needle, I knew my dress was going to be taken care of and turn out perfectly. I only needed two appointments which was so nice! During the first appointment, the ladies were very professional and helpful in explaining the alterations that needed to be done. We also went over the bustle and how it would look. The second appointment I was able to try the dress on, complete the bustle and take it home. The dress was perfect and on the day of the wedding the bustle was very easy for my bridesmaids to do. I am so glad I was able to work with Thread & Needle!

The ladies made me feel like a rock star by altering my gown to perfection for me and also by being so dang nice while I was in there! Even did some last minute touch ups while I had my gown on to ensure it was just right. Reasonable pricing and super cute shop.

I went here for my wedding dress alterations after seeing how great they were for my best friends wedding. So glad I did. The dress I bought was beautiful to start but I wanted a more romantic/airy feel to the skirt, so we talked about adding some tulle to add that effect. The created an overskirt that did exactly what I was looking for without covering any of the beautiful detailing in the skirt. They also made the appropriate tweaks to the dress to make it fit like a glove. Overall couldn't have done better, I love the way my dress looked at my wedding, and the change they made to the skirt made such a big difference it really turned dress I loved into my dream dress.

I cannot be more thankful with this dynamic duo! I had postponed my wedding 3 times between last year and this year and they didn’t only kept my dress safe for about a year but also altered it for me about 3 times (I gained and lost a couple pounds) and even though I was willing to pay for redoing my alterations they were so sweet and kind and didn’t charge me an extra fee. My wedding date ended up being fabulous and everyone complemented my dress the whole time. I will always be thankful with these ladies and their team.

The women at Thread and Needle are SO wonderful! They made my wedding dress fit perfectly (the Fleur de Lis dress by Hayley Paige) and made the entire process fun and enjoyable. I cannot recommend their alterations shop enough for any other brides!!

I was referred to Thread and Needle by my wedding gown shop (One & Only Bridal). From my very first appointment, I was impressed at the knowledge and care they took with my dress. My dress included a lot of small lace detailing, and it was obvious Thread and Needle were just the women for the job. My dress fit like a glove and was absolutely perfect for my big day.

Norby and Fabiana are the sweetest duo who make your dress exactly everything you hope it’ll be. I was super nervous to find someone to alter my Alexandra Grecco silk gown and when I met them I felt completely at ease. And bonus, they created the most beautiful convertible cape veil for me which I didn’t even know was possible! They are incredible.

Cheap is expensive! In the store where I bought my dress they recommended three places and I made a inquiry in the three places to see which would be better. when I got to thread and needle I loved the place and the attention of the girls, everything was better than expected but unfortunately the alterations that my dress needed were very expensive for me so I went to the first place which was not very to my liking but the alterations were more accessible for my budget. that was the worst decision !! My dress was almost ruined and it was delivered to me a week before my wedding. when that happened I returned to thread and needle with my hopes down and the thought of looking for a new dress or even canceling the wedding. The moment I walked through the door, Norby and Fabiana were so kind and surprisingly fast in their work, they told me so that Just so I don’t worry or have more stress on top of me they would have the dress ready in two days and that's how it was !! The best thing is that they did not charge me extra for making the alterations so quickly. Tonly bad thing but understandable is that I had to pay a little more than the price suggested when I went the first time because the dress was altered terribly which was even more difficult fix. I'm going to recommend them all and I hope that by reading this any future brides can realize that sometimes it is better to pay a little more and especially if it is your wedding dress. THANK YOU LADIES 10 stars if I could!

I had to do a few changes to the original dress I purchased (add sleeves and a back) and once I received it from the bridal shop it did not come out how I imagined. I was devastated! These ladies were able to redo my sleeves and back seamlessly, you would have never known!! I AM SO HAPPY HOW IT TURNED OUT. I am forever grateful for them and I highly recommend! If they can take apart my dress and put it back together perfectly, then I believe they are capable of any alteration.

Friendly, professional and their work is AMAZING. I bought my wedding dress from One & Only Bridal and by the time it had come in, I had lost weight and it did not fit me based on my original measurements. O&O recommended that I go to Thread & Needle and they did not disappoint! After alterations, the dress fits me perfectly! They did a fantastic job. I can't wait to wear my dress in a few weeks!

I LOVE THEM! After looking in several places to get my Lazaro gown altered, i finally got to thread and needle and met these wonderful ladies that not only fixed my dress to perfection but were always so kind and accommodating with me. I had done absolutely everything in my dress and for that reason I had 3 fittings and they even steam the dress for me a couple days before my wedding!! These ladies are amazing! My dress turned out beautifully and they listened to everything I wanted. I had my dream dress because of them! They were so kind and understanding about every little thing and wanted to make my dress the most beautiful gown I’d ever wear for my special day...and they did! Norby and her daughter are the dynamic duo that run this amazing place. They know what they are doing and just what to say to make you feel so comfortable. They transformed my oversized dress into a dress made for me. Alterations included bustle, hem, v plunge added to sweetheart neckline, buttons down the entire back and basically taking in the entire dress over 2 inches. Norby & her daughter Fabiana are miracle workers and made me feel so confident about their technical ability after a big let down with an online custom ordered dress. The back was not the design I ordered online and I was devastated to say the least. I took my dress to Thread & Needle to see if they would be able to fix my dress and make it the deep illusion back dress I ordered. They were able to do this and customize the fit of the dress to fit my body LIKE A GLOVE. The dress was a big hit and photographed so well. I'm obsessed & I'm SO happy I found them. I was referred to Thread and Needle Alterations to have my wedding dress fittings. I was nervous about having my dress altered, but they made me feel completely at ease during the fittings. They made sure that I liked every change along the way. My dress fit perfectly and looked great!

Thread and Needle did exactly what I requested from taking the straps off my dress to adding fabric so the front was no longer see through. My dress fit like a glove and I got so many compliments on it! My only disappointment is that even my wedding planner bridesmaid, photographer, day of coordinator and bridesmaid who had gone to my final appointment could not figure out my bustle exactly so I do feel like in some of my reception pictures it does not look exactly as it should have.

The Thread and Needle staff was amazing from start to finish. The work they completed on my dress was amazing. They were professional and they knew what needed to be done to my dress to fit my body type. I felt beautiful on my wedding day. Everyone on the day of my wedding was impressed on how my dress fit me so well.

Thread and Needle did a great job making sure my dress fit me like a glove. They do great work and I would recommend them. My only concern is that I didn't notice a difference with the alterations between my second and third fitting. My third fitting was really close to my wedding since they are very popular. They do amazing work, I just wish I would have spoke up more with my suggestions.

I would give them TEN STARS if I could! I purchased my wedding dress at Calvet Couture and they referred me to Thread and Needle. I am SO thankful I took my dress there! First of all, they are organized, professional and overall kind people. I left my first fitting feeling so confident that they would take great care of my dress (and they did). I thought my dress was beautiful before I had it altered and once she fit it properly to my body, it was even more incredible. I had a panic moment when my zipper broke at my 2nd fitting (the zipper's fault NOT the alterations fault) and they were so calm and reassured me that they would take care of it it right away. I really feel like it takes skill and experience to make a bride feel okay when her zipper breaks a month before the wedding. I would highly recommend anyone trust them with their dress!

A family owned business that you can tell put their whole heart into their work. I had a an absolutely AMAZING experience with Thread & Needle. They made me feel so welcome and comfortable through the entire process. Norby and her daughter didn’t only fix my dress to perfection but they are also the sweetest people I’ve ever met! When I bought my dress I went to another seamstress closer to my house because I live in Tampa so I don’t have to drive a long distance. Worse mistake ever. When I went to that place it was so dirty... but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt, but again a big mistake. When I got my dress back it was looking terrible but thank goodness she didn’t do the hem. I found thread and needle alterations after all this disaster, and just from talking on the phone with fabianna I knew that I could trust them, and norbby is so professional and such a sweet person! And just to annex she’s also a FASHION DESIGNER!!!! And it’s something that you can feel and see. I will recommend them to everybody!
