ly, because after all we are involved in making one of the most special and significant days in their lives, a memorable occasion, and we always strive for excellence in our work in order to achieve this; however, we also take our integrity very seriously, which was challenged and more than berated during the recent incident with Ms. Sherlock. We are very accommodating and also very patient with every bride we receive because we understand (thanks to our more than 30 years of experience) the tension and the stress that preparing for a wedding entails. Regardless, this does not excuse, nor give anyone the right, to the amount of disrespect and abuse that Ms. Sherlock subjected my employees and daughters to. We value our customers time and money, but above anything else, we value civility and respect, which is how we handle every bride we receive, and agree to give our services to. Ms. Sherlock had already repeatedly showed a nasty attitude and demeanor toward our team which we tolerated until it simply was not possible to do any more. She made unreasonable remarks that were quite offensive, and even after this we still did our best to handle her with extreme professionalism and a more than patient attitude. Unfortunately, there is only so much that I am willing to accept as a business owner and as a mother, and it would be negligent of me to allow such behavior to be tolerated more than it already was. Regardless of any specific words said, and any comments made, we decided to part ways with Ms. Sherlock even after we had already performed work on her wedding dress, to her measurements, and with more than satisfactory quality. We allowed her to walk away without charging her a cent because as we said, our integrity and wellbeing of our employees and other brides, and the image of our business, are worth more than what little money Ms. Sherlock would have been willing to pay. As for the quality of our work, we like to let the many outstanding reviews and the numerous awards speak for us, which require no further justification and clarify more than enough about our commitment to make every bride and their families experience more than memorable. So, regardless of how many salty (and frankly quite immature) comments and reviews Ms. Sherlock or her relatives, and even soon to be husband post, it is not of our taste or concern. We urge you to reconsider and to be honest about these defamatory comments and reviews because it can very well be considered slander, and might be treated as such, which can lead to legal action to being taken. While we don’t have any intent to retaliate in any way, it is my duty as an honest business woman and as a mother to make sure my family, business and personal integrity remains intact and respected.
