Thunder Bay Grille

The food was very good, although I was expecting the desserts to be a little fancier. They were cheesecake and pecan squares. When we got there, the room was set up nicely. The problems were in the service. We had about 50 guests, but were only given two servers, one of whom was barely seen. I had to ask for water to be served. My dirty plate sat in front of me almost the entire shower and I couldn't seem to get our one server's attention to remove it until presents were being opened after dessert was served. After the shower was over, I had to go to the bar to find out where our servers were so I could pay the bill. I was told by the server who barely served us that they were contracted for an 18 percent tip, but I could go up to 20 if I wanted. I told her 18 was fine. I would have tipped less if I hadn't been told that it was "contracted." And I would have insisted that the entire tip go to our one server. Even some of my guests were wondering where the other server was. For a $1200 + bill, I expected better.

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at Thunder Bay Grille on Saturday 4/26/14. It was wonderful! We received so many compliments on the atmosphere as well as the food. Tracy was fantastic and helped us every step of the way. She gave us great input, and we were put at ease knowing she was there, setting things up, and keeping things running smoothly. We chose a dinner buffet, with the chocolate fountain and the dessert tray. Everyone LOVED the chocolate fountain with dippers. We got raves on the green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, tortellini, chicken marsala, and beef. Also - the seafood fondue was fantastic as a late night snack. Absolutely wonderful - we couldn't have asked for a better venue!
