Offering a sense of seclusion for special occasions, Thunder Ridge Weddings & Events in Maple Valley, WA is a versatile venue. It offers both indoor and outdoor settings for your big day, making it simple to bring your individual vision to life. The venue is nestled in the cascade foothills and has spaces that make it possible to celebrate in the northwest’s many types of weather.
Thunder Ridge Weddings & Events is located on a six-acre property and features thoughtfully arranged gardens, spacious lawns, and other natural outdoor spaces. For events with up to 100 people, both the beautiful fresh outdoors and climate controlled indoor areas are able to accommodate your guests depending on the PNW weather. Booking the property for your event includes the 1,500 square-foot reception hall and the similarly sized lighted patio and bar area. There is also secure on-site parking with an attendant which can accommodate up to 45 cars.
Wedding season at Thunder Ridge Weddings & Events is from May to October. Those holding their event during these months are given access to the property for 12 hours. Other services include setup and teardown of the tables and chairs, wine barrel tables, yard games and even decor to use for your event. The venue also offers a wonderful bridal suite with dedicated hair and makeup areas as well as a grooms quarters with space to relax. To make parking more straightforward, a parking attendant is present for guest arrival and the venue managers are also there to provide event support. Nearly weds planning a wedding between November and April are encouraged to reach out for more information on availability for hosting a wedding celebration.

Thunder Ridge was an incredible venue. Scott and Shellie the owners are probably the sweetest people you will ever meet. They feel less like business owners and more like family. They ensured that their venue was set up exactly as we imagined. They help you through each step of the way and they truly want your vision to shine through. They were very accommodating and made what could have been a very stressful day not stressful what so ever. They even had a back up plan for weather in case we needed it… well we needed it. The rain started about an hour before the ceremony started and my husband and I knew we were in good hands.
I would recommend Thunder Ridge to anyone who is getting married and is looking for an intimate venue, gorgeous views, and most importantly a venue who truly cares about you.

Scott & Shellie at Thunder Ridge provided the best possible experience we could have asked for for our wedding. Not only is the property gorgeous and perfect for a small-to-midsize wedding, but the two lovely owners were incredible about meeting with us to help plan out the event, provide vendor suggestions, offering free decorations and inventory, setting up & cleaning up afterwards, and much more general assistance than we expected. They really felt like partners in helping execute the event. The level of consideration and detail provided was evident to me when they offered to mow the lawn in a way that was conducive to the event in preparation. I highly recommend this place for any couples looking for affordable Seattle-area weddings who is feeling overwhelmed by the idea of planning and executing the event by themselves, as the owners went above and beyond to put us at ease and make an event we'll treasure for the rest of our lives.

I needed a place to host my wife's 50th birthday. I also wanted to join in her mother, it was her 75th. I had about 100 people to invite so we need a little bit of room. This was also a surprise for my wife and her mother. The setting at Thunder Ridge was perfect, lots of room and a very nice venue. I would recommend using Thunder ridge to anyone that was looking for a venue. This place is perfect for weddings, birthdays, company events, anything. The owners are very helpful and supportive of any needs. They also have a great list of vendors, such as caterers, planners, etc. I will definitely use them again for any future events.

What an amazing place to host a group event or gathering. Shellie & Scott are so helpful, supportive, accommodating & extremely organized & make sure it is the perfect event from start to finish. Thunder Ridge is such a great place that offers both indoor & outdoor areas for your event & is beautifully landscaped with lots of places to take photos.
Thunder Ridge was the dream location my daughter and I had been searching for, the grounds are beautiful with the forest and woodland surrounding the lush open areas. Scott and Shellie are amazing, they were so helpful and kind with great communication and flexibility to help us create our vision. I cannot say enough about the whole property, the bridal suite is beautiful, the makeup area accommodated all of our bridal party with great lighting, the interior of the venue was exactly what we needed for our wedding, the groom suite is amazing, the outdoor wedding arch, bar and patio are perfect for any outdoor event!
This place is beautiful for weddings and events. I was so happy the weather ended up being perfect for an outdoor wedding. Thunder Ridge is so accommodating to brides needs and wants. Bridal suite and hair / makeup areas are amazing. Grooms suite is perfect for the guys. Set up with games.
While we ended up having to cancel our wedding at Thunder Ridge due to us moving out of state, the experience we had with Scott and Shellie was fantastic. We knew from the initial tour that this was the right venue for us because of how down-to-earth, kind and accommodating they were through every step of the process. It is so apparent that this is not just a business for them- they genuinely care about you and the success of your event. Not only is the venue gorgeous and very affordable compared to others in the area, we also know that they would have gone above and beyond to make our wedding amazing. Truly cannot say enough good things- from all of the venues we toured, we felt so confident that there were none we would trust as much as them with the most important day of our lives! Though they have not been in the wedding business as long as some, their attention to detail stands out as some of the best in the industry, and they have quickly become well-versed in all things wedding and events, evidenced by the many great vendor recommendations and suggestions about the details of our day. We all know how daunting wedding planning can be, but they made it so much less stressful. All in all, you cannot go wrong booking with Thunder Ridge, anyone who works with Scott and Shellie is in such great hands!
Where to begin! Just when we were losing hope on finding the right venue for us, I said "let's try just one more". It was mere seconds after getting in the car after meeting Shellie and Scott and touring the venue that we said "this is it!". The grounds are beautiful and Shellie and Scott were so helpful, accommodating, kind, and patient throughout the the whole process. We had a small DIY wedding and they made us feel like family.
Having both an indoor and outdoor option in the PNW is a huge bonus! The inside is spacious with stunning bridal and groom suites and a vanity area made the getting ready process super convenient.
Thank you Thunder Ridge for hosting the most special day of our lives and for all you did through the process. We appreciate it so much and will be recommending this venue to any friends getting married!

Thunder Ridge was the perfect venue to host our client and partner appreciation party for our real estate team last summer! The grounds were absolutely stunning for our outdoor celebration and the owners were very professional and helpful throughout the whole process, starting with the initial coordination and scheduling as well as the day-of assistance. They were very accommodating for our requests and we will definitely host our event here again this year! Some of our favorite aspects of this venue included the spacious patio, bar that could be placed inside or outside, as well as the various layout options for tables and chairs which were all included in the venue cost! We highly recommend this venue!
