It is just right for a romantic setting for your special day. It has Vaulted ceilings with large exposed beams and milled lumber, the walls are center match boards that have been white washed, stained glass arches, arched windows, wood plank flooring, beautiful chandelier and wall sconces, antique refinished pulpit, a big old style mirror above, distressed mantle, special crosses and rosaries from different countries, custom made floor to ceiling drapes with lace panels inlays, floral arrangements and before we closed in the walls we had friends and family send in best wishes, prayers and poems, rolled them up like little scrolls and stuffed them all around in the walls so we call these the WALLS OF LOVE, the benches were specially made for our chapel. 225-444-7165

Beware and be prepared!! My fiancé and I had plans on having a small ceremony at this chapel in April of 2020 but things didn’t pan out due to Covid and a illness. Ms. Donna was understanding and we attempted to reschedule, although I really didn’t want to bc I was still unsure about what was going on in the world and the vision I wanted for my wedding day. Fast forward to this past month and I tried to request her services for our new date and I was told she was unavailable. Like ok, I have given this lady a deposit almost a year ago, what am I to do bc I’m not changing my date? She tells me that she can give me names of other officiants but of course I’ll have to pay them. After some back and fourth she tells me I can change my time instead and she can do it. Now, I’m frustrated and mad bc you just said you were unavailable that day and no I’m not changing my time to suit your schedule. Long story short she stated that my deposit is non refundable as stated in the contract. I asked her several times would she refund me and I can just be on my way. We’ve both tried to work things out but ultimately she couldn’t accommodate what I wanted and you aren’t losing anything bc you didn’t do anything to keep my deposit! Her contract also states that a new contract should be submitted when changes are made but she doesn’t adhere to that rule, just the “non-refundable” clause. After going back and fourth with someone why would I want them to marry me? I have a negative view of you now, therefore you couldn’t stand before my future husband and I bless my marriage. So beware and don’t have a pandemic through a wrench in your wedding plans otherwise you’ll be out of a deposit and no officiant. Oh.. and she stopped responding. Tried filling claims with PayPal and my bank, no help!

My new husband and I found Tie the Knot Wedding Chapel to be the best place on earth to have a wedding! The Chapel is the most beautiful chapel I have ever been in! The Chapel was built with a lot of love and attention to detail. Reverend Donna is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating to your special needs. Our wedding was scheduled for April 25, 2020, but with the Corona virus going around, we had to postpone the wedding due to social distancing. Reverend Donna was very patient as we decided what we were going to do. In the end, we decided to go ahead and have Reverend Donna do the official signing of the Wedding License with our two witnesses at the chapel. We will be rescheduling our official wedding at a later date. We recommend Reverend Donna and Tie the Knot Wedding Chapel to anyone that is thinking of getting married.

Very pretty country chapel. Very nicely decorated. The minister made ya feel very at ease. Super nice! Took her time and didn’t rush us out at the end. Allowed us to take as many pictures as we wanted.

We got married on Valentines Day here...we decided for something small and intimate with just a few guests. Im so glad we chose to get married here....the ceremony was beautiful and well planned for us. We didnt have to do anything really but just show up, but if you have the time, I recommend doing the rehearsal, we didnt but it still turned out just fine with her help, she even helped us with posing for our photos...As soon as you walk in the chapel you can feel the energy its such a happy place. Theres so much joy, love, and happiness there. Its way more beautiful in person and makes really great pictures . ...Afterwards we went to dinner, we had such a great day, and we are happy with the beautiful pictures to show off to our family and friends.

Wow! Where do I begin? Our wedding day was nothing short of amazing. Mrs. Donna was so kind & very patient. She was very prompt in responding to any text messages & was very thorough in explaining every thing. The chapel was beautifully decorated. We didn’t write our own vows, but Mrs. Donna had some very beautiful words to share during our ceremony. I also have to say that her husband was very kind & helpful on our big day as well. We’re so happy that we chose this location for our special day. We were able to create many everlasting memories.

Donna was awesome. Rehearsal went longer than expected and not once did she complain. She texted the morning of the wedding to remind us to bring the marriage certificate which I’m sure we would have forgotten. She was awesome during the ceremony. Thanks for everything!

I attended 2 weddings there over the past year and this was the best place ever. Everything thing was perfect for the days. When my daughter gets married we will definitely use Ms. Donna at Tie the Knot Weddings.

As someone who was married at Tie The Knot Wedding Chapel and someone who now has done many weddings with Ms. Donna as a wedding photographer, I can honestly say you cannot find a better place to come celebrate your special day. Having the options of both open air or inside a very elegant chapel is the best, especially in Louisiana. She makes each ceremony so unique and special for each couple. The various scenery options are a photographer's dream for weddings from the chapel to the outdoor greenery to a beautiful changing area with a full length mirror. Whether you are there for a 30 minute elopement or a full 2 hour wedding ceremony with friends and family, you cannot go wrong with Ms. Donna and Tie The Knot Wedding Chapel. Ms. Donna is so hospitable to everyone. She goes above and beyond to make sure your day is one you will always remember.

I was the matron of honor at a wedding here recently. It was an elopement (less than 20 people in attendance) and the officiant took photos and posted them immediately without asking if this was okay. Some family members found out through her Facebook post. It was very unprofessional of her not to ask if this was okay. Additionally, she would not allow anyone except the bride and groom to take photos outdoors in the photo area (wouldn't even allow the 2-member wedding party over in the area). The venue is nice-looking, but Donna was not polite or accommodating at all. Her husband actually chained off the entrance to the getting-ready area and I had to literally climb over the chain to get to the room after the ceremony to retrieve my belongings. There is no restroom at all on the premises--so bizarre. The "getting ready" area was a laundry room with a rusty deep-freezer inside. For the love of God, go elsewhere to get married.

Mrs. Donna was amazing! We got there early and it was no problem. She even had her husband and son there as witnesses as we didn't have any. They took pictures for us too....! When my husband and I started looking for a place to be married we knew we wanted something quaint and intimate. We stumbled upon this beautiful little chapel and we knew instantly this would be the perfect place to share our special day with our family. Donna was amazing and easy to work with from the beginning all the way through the ceremony. The wedding was organized and everything went so smooth. It was an absolutely beautiful day and it was just as we imagined.

Mrs. Donna was wonderful! We asked for a few things to be said differently besides the normal vows. She checked in on me multiple times before the actual ceremony date to verify info was correct. This is the most beautiful little chapel! Mrs. Donna (the owner and officiant) is clearly experienced, as she took care of everything. She had everything thought of and planned out. Our service and vows were BEAUTIFUL and more importantly personal. She got to know us through email and let us edit her draft as we pleased. The outside area for photos is absolutely gorgeous! Stained glass windows and a beautiful rustic look. There is not one thing I would have changed about this experience. She and her husband also took sneak peek photos while the photographer was working her magic and sent them to me as soon as we left. They literally think of everything!

Tie the Knot is a very quaint and lovely venue. If you are looking to get married on a budget, with a limited number of guests, and keeping your ceremony simple; this is your place. The chapel is beautifully decorated with some religious items which gives your ceremony a touch of God’s presence. Donna will make you feel special on your wedding day and does an amazing job officiating the ceremony.

My husband and I were just doing the legal signing with Mrs. Donna at her chapel because our actual wedding was a destination one. The chapel was absolutely adorable! Mrs. Donna did a wonderful job with officiating, she was so kind and very easy to work with during the scheduling process. Honestly if we didn't do a destination wedding I would've definitely considered having the wedding there. She also had a nice sign with our last name written on it. I've already recommended her to a few people and I'd continue too.

Tie The Knot Wedding Chapel is such a beautiful quaint venue! My sister was married there in 2017, and I was in awe of the beauty of this hidden gem. I myself got married this year, (at a different venue due to our very large guest list), but still used the services of Mrs. Donna at Tie The Knot Wedding Chapel, as our wedding officiant. She was such a pleasure to work with, always easy to contact and did an overall fabulous job. Our ceremony was perfect, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

I knew this beautiful chapel would be the place I would be married from the moment I saw it. Donna helped with every detail. From the reading of a quote we love, to making sure our vows were just right for our beliefs, and even sending the signed marriage license off for us. I didnt have to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend this chapel for an intimate wedding.

I fell in love with the chapel as soon as I arrived. The pictures just doesnt do it justice. It was beautifully decorated and so spacious for a intimate setting. Donna worked with me for months getting every aspect of my wedding together. Anytime I had a question she answered back promptly. She was very organized. There were so many different beautiful areas to take our wedding photos. Which came out amazing! Her staff was so helpful with ushering our guest and helping with other details during the time there. I would recommend this chapel to anyone looking to Tie The Knot! 2 people or the entire family and more! I cant think her enough for helping make our special day perfect.

In my opinion this is the perfect spot for a quaint wedding! The Chapel is beautiful and has plenty of seating. The yard is also decorated for the perfect reception! You should definitely check this venue out before making a decision for your wedding! Donna is very professional also!

The chapel here is the cutest thing! Great setting if you're looking for an elopement, small wedding, or vow renewal. My husband and I chose to go for just the paper signing and we were able to get great pictures. Her website and Facebook do not do this place justice- check it out! It's beautiful!
