Tim Greenway Photography is a wedding photography business based in South Portland, ME. Owner Tim is an award winning photojournalist and wedding photographer with over 24 years of experience in the field. He uses a primarily candid style to document the true emotion and interactions that make your event unique. Tim aims to be a part of your day from beginning to end and will be there to encapsulate all the big moments and little details as they happen. Tim hopes to gain a genuine understanding of your individual style and taste in order to capture images that represent your relationship. His laid back personality creates a relaxing atmosphere allowing him to photograph the intimate emotions of the day. This photographer strives to capture the candid and spontaneous moments and immerses himself in the event to unobtrusively document every sparkling highlight from start to finish. Tim Greenway Photography offers a myriad of wedding packages to suit multiple styles and budget requirements. Tim is ready to capture every big moment from the engagement to the wedding ceremony and reception. This business can provide a second photographer and additional hours to suit your needs, and is also willing to travel. Couples will be provided with access to a private online gallery as well as a USB drive with all the digital images.

ng the specifics and unique features of our wedding, the outdoor location, and our hopes and wishes. That translated into his capturing the real spirit and character of our wedding. We had a wonderful photo shoot down by the harbor prior to the wedding, and then Tim shot the whole wedding day and into the night in an unobtrusive way, capturing both the expected highlights as well as many fun, lovely details that most photographers would miss. Our day included a crashing rain shower late in the afternoon, but that was handled in stride. As the night fell, we talked to Tim and immediately saw some creative opportunities with strung lights, umbrellas, and other options that he incorporated beautifully. All in all, we were truly satisfied and grateful to have a beautiful full visual record of our memorable wedding.

We realized one of Tim’s superpowers is his ability to take charge/direct a group of people in a fun/friendly way to get all the different pictures we needed. From family photos and fun shots to entire wedding group photos – he did this seamlessly and it took a lot of pressure off us. Might not sound like a big deal – but day of, this was a huge relief as things move really fast.
With all the different components of a wedding that need to come together – we highly recommend working with Tim, so you know that the wedding photos piece is in the best of hands.

ur wedding day perfectly. We have received so many compliments on the photographs and many of our guests commented on Tim’s professionalism and fun attitude. We received our photographs 2 weeks after the wedding and we were so excited to share them with our friends and family.
Tim customized a photography package just for us. Booking with Tim was very easy and organized. From our initial discussions with Tim, he helped us define our vision of our wedding along with assisting us with scheduling our day and suggesting photogenic locations. We selected Tim because we really loved his portfolio and candid photography style.
I usually do not like the way I look in photos and I am not the most comfortable in front of the camera but Tim took stunning photographs of me. I couldn’t have been happier. Tim made everybody extremely comfortable with the camera and was a wonderful source of calmness during the chaos of the day. He is very sweet and thoughtful and blended right in with our wedding guests.
We are so glad that we decided to have Tim photograph our wedding. Our day wouldn’t have been the same without him and we absolutely love all our amazing photographs and can’t stop looking at them.

We were looking for a photojournalistic-style wedding shoot and found Tim to be exactly what we were looking for.
We liked Tim immediately from the first call and his approach was exactly what we were looking for. We shared a few samples of...
what we were hoping to capture, talked about the lighting on the day (it was mid-October, so we wanted to capture as much of the principal photography and time the wedding to the golden hour), and what we wanted and did not want in our COVID-shrunken wedding.
He met up with us in advance of the event over lunch and we talked a bit about the wedding our relationship, and the venue. He came prepared on the day of the event, early enough that we could take family pictures and the like ahead of the event so as to not pull us away from our guests for too long. During the ceremony, he was ever present, but out of our eyesight, so he was never distracting, yet captured multiple angles of the ceremony . The post-wedding photos were beautifully captured and with limited instruction... he really let us capture us.
Photos were returned within about three weeks, all digitally, including a USB stick for backup. He color and light corrected everything, as well as corrected a few minor issues along the way.
I highly recommend Tim for his services and hope you find him as friendly and talented as we did.

formal, more journalistic style. He understood that we didn’t want to spend hours posing - so he did his job, was easy going but professional and blended in well with the mood of the day. ss, official ceremony, etc.—my second marriage was freewheeling and fun. We had a handful of friends meet us at City Hall and they came dressed in crazy wigs with fistfuls of balloons.
Tim captured the spontaneity of the moment, the look of surprise and joy on the city clerk’s face, the circus-like ascent up a spiral marble staircase…and our love was perfectly framed at the center of each shot.
You’ll be in wonderful hands with Tim. Not only does the quality of his photography speak for itself but he brings a calm, happy presence to what can often be a stressful day. He goes with the flow, seamlessly integrating into the mood the couple sets and capturing what makes their love and vision for the day unique.

you want to hear, but Tim was very thoughtful and thorough in planning out our spaces for photography so that our day would run smooth and the pictures would turn out beautiful! He even went to check out spots in the neighborhood surrounding our venue to find some pretty places to take pictures that would not be too far for us to go. On the day of, Tim arrived right on time and got straight to work (something I really appreciated as the bride being pulled in many directions!) He made my husband and I both feel very comfortable, despite our nervousness with getting pictures taken! His ability to plan ahead and his expert photography made for amazing pictures which we promptly sent to us just a few weeks after the wedding. After receiving the first round of photographs, I sent some back to Tim for additional cropping/adjustments so they would be ready to frame. Tim got them back to us quickly and looking picture perfect! We could not have been more satisfied with Tim's work and we would recommend him to everyone!

ed to do things our way to ensure we were happy with the result. He was the perfect balance of being flexible, while also not be afraid to tell us to repeat a certain pose in order to make sure he got the shot he wanted both for video and still photography. Tim was very price competitive and initially I was a little nervous about having one person do photo and video, but he assured me that he could handle both and that we would just have to do some things twice (cake cutting, certain poses, etc.) to make sure he captured the event on video and still shots. Tim was right, he handled both duties masterfully. He produced an amazing HD video with excellent transitions that really captured the mood and feel of our event, while also getting a ton of still photos that also came out great (candids and poses). I would highly recommend Tim's services for both wedding photography and videography.

Flash-forward seven years: I track him down, a former roommate but now a veritable stranger. Yes, he'd be honored to shoot our wedding, he says. We meet once, to catch up and for him to learn about the couple. He's a working photojournalist, and it shows in his professionalism and attention to detail.
If Tim shoots your wedding, it won't be a side project for him to pay the bills. You'll be his subject. He'll focus on you and your event as any other artist focuses on their subject. Beauty seems important to him. Realism, too. He documents what happens, but with an eye for the image, realizing the importance of how reality looks when viewed from within a frame.
He spent six hours with my wife and me and the rest of our closest friends and family on the most important day of our lives. But we barely knew he was there. Only after, when we saw the incredible pictures he'd captured, did we realize how happy and lucky we were to have him with us.
