Tim Halberg Photography

chieve with our engagement and wedding day photos! He was prompt and and among all of the little things us brides worry about on our wedding day, Tim took all that stress away and made it all about having fun and taking all of the photos we hoped and dreamed of! He made sure that my husband and I got the pics we wanted with all family members, friends and all the little details of our special day! He truly captured our vision and bottled it up with his photos. We couldn’t have been happier and had such an easy going/fun photographer to share our most special day with! Book Tim, you’ll have zero regrets!!!

felt that the wall art was a must and I never tire of looking at our beautiful photos on the dining room wall. He has a great personality, he’s very witty and we highly recommend him!

He was also great at suggesting new locations that we wouldn’t have thought of, and he was just a great guy to spend the day with. He makes sure you have everything you need before your picture date and has a fast turnaround time. We would recommend Tim to anyone!

ures are beautiful. We wish we could have another wedding just to see more of his pictures. Thank you Tim for the beautiful memories.

eemed like meeting an old friend. He knew exactly the kind of pictures we were going for, and everyone at our reception loved them. Definitely worth it!

ur engagement session and from our wedding. Our pictures are so special to us and we feel so grateful Tim was our photographer. Look no further, if you want absolutely gorgeous photos Tim Halberg will not disappoint!

allest detail! Being the non Type A bride, I didn’t pay attention to things that I should have. For example, Tim was taking pictures when I was doing my makeup. I had a hair tie on my wrist. Tim asked me if the hair tie meant anything, I said “no, Oh! I have to take that off”. Those 6 hrs were amazing and I was so happy that Tim was there to capture all of it! I had my fair share of photographers (family weddings) and I have to say that Tim is the best! I was so glad that Tim was available that day! Tim thank you again and I will never forget you:) so excited to see more of your pictures on Instagram!!

ve your wedding day with. It was important to us that we found not only an excellent photographer, but also someone who made the experience more personal. Tim was that exact fit. Before we decided on hiring him, Tim spent a significant amount of time with each of us on the phone asking questions about our lives, what we love about each other, who is important to us and how we would like to see our day unfold. He also worked with us to develop a package that best suited our needs. Tim was a joy to work with throughout the entire process and made our wedding day so enjoyable and special. He captured all the intimate moments and requested shots, all while making people comfortable, getting family to smile and knocking out shots quickly so we could enjoy our day. Tim captured many moments without us even noticing his presence and he was so professional. We truly enjoyed having him as a part of our day, and we are happy to have gained not only some amazing pictures, but also a dear friend. We are so thrilled we came across Tim!

aveled from out of state, but we felt like we were reuniting with an old friend by the time we met him at our ceremony. On top of a great personality, the photos are truly stunning. When we show them to people, the most common response so far has been, in so many words, "Is this for real?!"

stoga perfectly. When people tell you that the photos are the only lasting token of your wedding they're so right. I felt like I missed parts of my wedding and Tim brought those details back forever. I'm also super short and was self conscious about my height in pictures. But thanks to Tim, I look 5'6!

n we had some last minute complications with another vendor. He was awesome to work with. I can also say - sometimes you wonder if photographers just cherry picked the best 10 photos they have ever taken for their marketing website but that is not the case with Tim. We just got our photos back and they are truly incredible.

nnot wait to see our photos. He did our engagement session and we love the picture so very much. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

horough. Tim's passion for the outdoors/adventures made him a great fit for us.

apher was going to be crucial - someone who could capture the joy of our day and the love we have for each other, but also the unbelievable setting. I probably looked through every photographer who had ever shot in Yosemite, and though Tim hadn't yet at the time we booked him, we could tell by his portfolio that he could do the place right. And boy, did he ever! There are so many reasons to hire Tim. He's a real professional with a laid back attitude. He was a joy to work with, and he captured the story of us better than I could have hoped. If you want your wedding to be an adventure - and you're looking for the right person to capture it - hire Tim!

ble, professional and great with being on time and following up. On the wedding day Tim was right on time and ready to go he was just fantastic to work with. We received our photos well within the timeframe he provided and my husband and I are delighted with the photos. We have beautiful photos to remember our day by – they really are stunning. Tim is great at catching moments. The process was simple a fun with Tim. We highly recommend him!

ssional and fun the day of the wedding. Most of the time, we didn't even notice he was around, which I think says a lot about a pro photographer. His photos were so incredible and he really did capture every special moment of our big day without being intrusive or making us feel rushed. For us, that was the perfect balance: great photos from a photographer who seemlessly blended into the scene of the day.

well as the cute looks on our ring bearers and flower girls during the ceremony, and the small details that added up to a lovely day. We got last minute rain storms the night before and day of our wedding, but that didn't stop Tim from being able to perfectly capture all the love and joy from everyone. I know I'm partial, but I honestly believe I have the best engagement and wedding photos out of all my friends and family. If I could give Tim a higher rating, I absolutely would!

The John Muir Trail. We were pretty laid back about almost all the details of our wedding, but we wanted to get the photographer right-- someone we could trust to capture the energy of the day so we and our families could simply enjoy the experience, someone who shared in our quirkiness and in our spirit of adventure, and given the intimate nature of the ceremony, someone who could get the job done while managing to feel like a friend. It was a lot to ask of a photographer, and Tim by far exceeded every single one of our expectations. He answered our call with a shared and genuine enthusiasm, offered some really helpful suggestions, and, if possible, got us even more excited about our day. When we look at the pictures of our wedding day (which arrived much earlier than expected!), we are reminded of the joy we felt that day surrounded by our loved ones and Yosemite's awe-inducing beauty. Neither of us is exactly the most natural in front of the camera, but Tim made us feel super comfortable, giving us direction, but also just letting us have fun and enjoy the hike we took to get some couple shots. He was super generous with his time and energy, hiking miles and scrambling up rocks to capture the shots. And we're just blown away with the results. Tim Halberg is truly gifted, and we're just so thankful that he's shared his talents with us. Thanks, Tim!

s able to capture all the fun moments on our big day. It felt as though he was part of our family, and that made it even more special to us. The photos turned out A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!! It was so fun to look at them and relive the whole day. We highly recommend him!!

we could not go wrong. However, choosing the perfect photographer to capture real time candid shots was of up most importance to us. We found Tim and knew instantly he was our guy!! His adventurous spirit and professional eye is evident on his website. Being the subject of his photos was so much fun!! He took us rock climbing, rocking jumping in the lake, walking through the snowy beach and on the pier. The final portraits were breathtaking!! We would use Tim again in a heartbeat.

have picked a better photographer to capture our wedding and reception. It wasn't always posed, he also caught some good ol candid fun! Thank you so much Tim! We are eternally grateful!

ure the whole day as it unfolded made it much less stressful. Prior to the wedding, he was very accessible for any questions we had and he readily encouraged us to give him feedback on how we could make the day feel uniquely ours. He was professional, efficient, and super personable- it felt like a trusted friend was doing the wedding photography! We would definitely recommend booking him for your wedding day ASAP. We cannot thank Tim enough for all his hard work, guidance during the wedding planning, and for being such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.

ly important to hire one who you get along with. Tim is professional, efficient, and had us laughing all day long. We opted out of engagement photos, but he made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera. I also love that his packages include the ENTIRE day, so we didn't have to worry about him leaving early and missing the party. Hire him - 100% the best decision I made for my wedding and it will be for you as well!

be a good match based on his active and adventurous website. He was responsive and available for our wedding date and continued to follow up with me as I agonized over the wedding photographer choice. I had a budget in mind when I started, knowing you shouldn't skimp here, but of course every awesome Tahoe style photographer I found was on the high end of that. Tim was willing to work with us a little bit on this and ultimately I realized having a photographer who was excited about coming to our hometown where we started dating for the engagement shoot; and having a photographer that doesn't put a time limit on either the engagement adventure or the wedding day was super important. Plus he had a love of backpacking, beer, and mountain biking :-) Our engagement pictures turned out awesome, his photos are so vibrant and full of nature. I know our wedding photos are going to be amazing too and we had a great time with him. One of our favorite parts of the entire wedding day was when Tim pulled us aside at night to go outside for nighttime photos because the stars and Milky Way were just beautiful that night. It was so peaceful on our mountain top venue and was so nice to escape the craziness of the reception and take a moment to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the location we had chosen. Thank you so much Tim for some awesome memories and amazing photos! (our family and bridal party loved him too!)

the quality I was searching for until I found Tim Halberg. His images are so stunning and he is a joy to work with. He is a very calming presence to have on what can be a very stressful day. His love of adventure and all things fun comes out from the moment you meet him and he inspires that from everyone in front of the camera. My normally camera shy husband opened up as Tim talked with us and laughed while documenting our day. He was so professional and on top of things. I had high expectations and he exceeded every one of them. You can't go wrong with Tim as your photographer.

we could let our personality as a couple shine through. He met up with us beforehand for a quick hangout, which really helped build trust and get us comfortable opening up during the actual shoot. Tim was able to capture our goofy natural interactions with beautiful framed natural backdrops. In addition to being a skilled photographer, Tim is also a super nice guy - you'll have a lot of fun during the shoot. We're so happy we went with him!

were absolutely, breathtakingly STUNNING!!!!!! Tim really captured everything! The scenery, lighting, emotion, guests, energy...everything! One of our favorite moments of the wedding day was after the ceremony. Instead of posing for typical bride and groom photos, Tim told us to just be ourselves as he shot pictures of us. We walked around the redwoods, climbed around an old mill and just enjoyed the moment. It felt like it was just the two of us and Tim's pictures captured the most incredible intimate moments. It was such a special time to share to take it all in. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos and feel very honored that Tim was able to share in our wedding day.

. He worked tirelessly to make sure to make the day just right like it was his own. He has been so responsive before and after the wedding.. We consider him a friend. You will have no regrets! Dave and Tina (We look at the pictures all the time!)

, which I always recognize as no higher compliment/testament since she knows the craft as well as she does. She said, trust me YOU WILL LOVE HIM. She was right - we did LOVE Tim. We first met Tim when he took our engagement photos a couple months before. Off of his suggestion, we had a brief meal with him so he could get a sense of our personalities. We "clicked" right away. He took us to the perfect spot and we still cherish the photos he took that day. Since our wedding was a destination in Mexico over Memorial Day weekend, we invited Tim to join the casual welcome dinner as a guest before the festivities really began. In typical Tim fashion, he went above and beyond the call of duty and started snapping photos throughout the night. While we did not expect it, we were so appreciative and love the photos from that first night! During the wedding, Tim was everywhere and caught EVERYTHING without being invasive. Tim's fun, warm and jovial disposition made him feel like a welcomed friend as he seamlessly captured the best day of our lives. The day went by in a flash and we grateful that he was there, so we have all the cherished memories that we and our guests experienced. We have been recommending him to friends for all occasions ever since. While it sounds cliché, your wedding day really does go by IN A BLINK OF AN EYE. Our wedding photos - something we look at constantly - allow of us not only to revisit that day but experience/appreciate the moments we missed. Thank you again Tim for exceeding all expectations and leaving us with the most priceless gift: our cherished wedding memories forever!! Love Tim's Biggest Fans, Adam & Kimberly

at the same time which made our events that much more memorable. All of our wedding party and even the guests still mention how nice and fun Tim was at our wedding which can be seen in our photos. Tim took the time to check out our venue weeks ahead of time and scouted out some beautiful shots in the vineyard. His experience and preparation allowed us to maximize time at the wedding while getting all of the shots that we wanted; and more! Taking posed shots with my severely disabled sister and some of our elderly family can be tough but Tim did a great job working with the group (during a heat spell) while staying positive and came out with tons of great photos that we will enjoy for a lifetime. BOOK TIM!!!

tured some really unique facets of our wedding. Highly recommended!

veryone feel comfortable. But what truly sets Tim apart is the quality of his work. Tim's fees were higher than we originally budgeted, but they were worth every penny. We hired Tim to photograph our engagement, a rehearsal dinner, our wedding and a farewell brunch. He captured each one of them beautifully. Even our guests commented on what a pleasure he was. If you are hesitating about whether to book Tim or not, just DO IT NOW before someone else does. You will not be disappointed.

rk and know that he will do a great job on your big day as well. Congratulations to all the readers out there.

etc and make them the most amazing pictures. When Tim gave us our survey for what we wanted captured there wasn't a doubt in my mind that he would miss a thing. He was beyond my expectations and captured our entire special day. Weddings go by very fast and as a bride and groom there are bits an pieces that are remembered. With Tim we were able to relieve our special moment thanks to his amazing photos. When it was time to take family photos which can be a pain, he was able to capture everything so quickly that way friend and family can also enjoy. We were able to see a sneak peek of our photos that evening and one word can describe them...breathtaking. If you are looking for someone who makes photos fun, memorable, and pure perfection then Tim Halberg is your photographer.

ails he captured on our wedding day. One of the great things about Tim is that he is just great to be around. Hes very calm and funny, which is very important when you are taking pictures, and he sees the big picture. We got married at my husband's parents' backyard in Santa Rosa with about 160 people. There were lots of times when we were taking photos in the backyard and after we got our pictures back I was blown away by what he took. I had no idea what he had in mind when he was clicking away, but the result was so beautiful. We had him first do our engagement photos before our wedding day, which is something I HIGHLY recommend. As someone who tends to be camera shy, with a husband who is even more shy and awkward, it was a great time to get used to being in front of the camera and for Tim to get to know us too. From day one we felt completely comfortable with him. He is not one of those photographers that need to stage every photo and use tons of props. His photos are clean, honest, and beautiful. As a bride, I have experienced working with tons of people hired to help with your wedding day. Some people are not so pleasant, and some people, you are just so thankful for. Tim is one of those. He was always prompt to respond, always friendly, and followed through with his word. The thing I love about Tim is that he's not greedy with his photos. So many photographers pressure you into buying upgraded packages so that you can have the photos you want. Not so with Tim, he understands that the wedding day is your day and included in our package digital Hi-Res files of all the photos with no hassle. That was a big plus when comparing other photographers. Here are some things you can expect with Tim as your photographer.... 1. Amazing timeless photos. Tim's photographic style is timeless because he does not use filters (think instagram) or get caught up with the latest trend. Colors are vibrant and faces are not photoshopped to look fake. I'll never get tired of looking at our album 2. Every moment captured. I could literally put together a detailed photo timeline of eveyrthing that happened that day plus moments I missed in person and details I just didnt have time to admire! 3. An organized wedding day. Tim captured all the family photos I asked him to and I hardly noticed him that day. In other words, he lets you enjoy your day while he takes care of the rest. 4. Great client service. From day one Tim took the time to listen to us both and took both of our personalities into consideration. A year later I can still ask him for advice on things like the best place to print our photos and he always responds as if he was still working with you. 5. Very reasonably priced packages. Its very daunting to hear prices quoted when trying to find a photographer. Tim worked with us to help us stay within our budget. There are many photographers out there that might charge less, but for the quality of his photos, his price is well worth it. 6. Generosity. Once you hire Tim, he doesn't hold back! We got over 400 photos from our wedding day. He doesn't charge by the hour like many photographers do. He simply does what it takes. If any one of my close friends or family needed a photographer for their big day, I would recommend Tim in a heartbeat!

d me asap when I submitted my request and we worked out a arrangement for him to work with us. I have corresponded with him a lot via email and he was so kind to answer all my questions. The day of the wedding I was nervous enough for everything to go well, one being the photos. As soon as I met Tim he made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. He helped me with posing ideas to ensure we had a lot of options and beautiful photos! My whole family loved working with him and I would recommend him to everyone!

st met Tim we were relieved to find that he shared our preference for a laid-back, California-chill, vibe. He is the kind of guy you immediately want to grab a beer and be friends with. Of course, this was not at the sacrifice of getting the job done. After looking at Tim's stunning online portfolio, I was a little concerned that all of the photos were particularly amazing because all of the subjects look like professional models. However, I can assure you that despite being extremely sleep deprived (we are talking bags on our bags), and much to my surprise crying (happy, but not the cute kind) a ton on our big day, Tim's skills and use of light still managed to make us look amazing (and not even from heavy photoshop edits). Tim was able to give us everything we wanted out of our engagement and wedding photos while also maintaining his fun and calming presence. He immediately made us comfortable & relaxed which I think really allowed us to reflect our true personalities in the photos. He was responsive to what we wanted out of our photos, and listened to our suggestions and feedback. He even indulged us with many of our 'cliche' wedding photo requests without mocking us too much. :) Our entire wedding turned out amazing (10 times better than our expectations, even), but the #1 thing we receive compliments on are the STUNNING photos taken by Tim and his team. The photos from our engagement shoot and our big day are nothing short of EPIC, and our biggest post-wedding regret is having purchased the smallest package that didn't cover all the hours of our big day. We are so glad we will always have these precious photos to help us relive and cherish the memories of our wedding, and at the end of the day the photos are truly priceless to us.

personality, shooting style, and of course, budget. We met with all of the photographers we considered. The biggest thing for us was how comfortable we felt around the person, especially considering how much time we were going to be spending with him/her (we had an engagement shoot and wedding events on Friday evening and all day Saturday). We met with Tim in San Francisco, a long way from his home near Sacramento, and he was really easy-going, happy, and energetic. He’s always smiling and generally thrilled to be discussing your wedding and vision you have for it. Onto style, Tim has a particular shooting style which we liked. We wanted to have someone take more of a photo-journalistic approach to get genuine emotion from us and our guests, rather than having a lot of staged portrait-style photos. He was, however, very flexible when we did request some portrait style photos before each event and post ceremony. We really appreciated his flexibility and the fact that he wanted to accommodate our requests. Our last piece of criteria was budget. Tim is very transparent about the costs and does not force packages on you like some other photographers we had met with. He is flexible and provides his recommendation of how he can stay within your budget. Overall, we definitely recommended Tim for your photographer needs. He is fun to be around, really easy to get to know, and will do an amazing job capturing your special event. He is also realistic on the turn-around time and we’ll never forget how quickly he was able to provide us with our engagement shoot images so we could use the photos in a booklet for our welcome bags – that was truly exceptional service! Our wedding photos were featured on multiple wedding blogs, as well as published in a magazine – this just proves the quality and dedication he puts into his work. Tim works hard and he has a great time doing it. Thank you, Tim – we will always treasure the moments you captured during our wedding weekend!

and had just started to ramp up his business in the area. We looked at his portfolio online and immediately fell in love with his style. Unlike most wedding photographers, Tim actually told a story instead of just posing people. We met in person with Tim at our favorite place to have drinks "Purple Place" and loved his personality and ability to feel like he was one of the family. This alone made us want to lock him up right away. "Tim we want candid shots and we don't want to know you are at our wedding!" Well he and his wife did exactly that for 90% of our photos and the results were phenomenal. We of course still did have traditional photos, but I can not describe in words how the rest of the event was photographed. If I could add some photos to this review as proof I would. Tim is a genuinely good person that has a passion for photography. If you are considering him for your wedding, you are hands down looking at one of the best photographers I have ever come across!

Cheryl are the exact opposite. Felt like they were both long time friends and they blended into the whole day perfectly. Can't recommend them highly enough. And the pictures were perfect. You can't go wrong with these two.

extremely talented wedding photographer. I recently went back through the album he created of my wedding and it still amazes me. Can't say enough good things about his work!

a great rapport. I didn't even bother looking at other photographers after that initial conversation because I had a gut feeling that he was the right choice. My husband and I were both stressed out New Yorkers, planning a wedding from 2000 miles away and had no clue what needed to happen. Tim was extremely patient with us and had worked with our venue before and we were able to plan a timeline that worked for everyone. Every shot that we set up was perfect. This is not an exaggeration. His knowledge of the property and the lighting was spot on. He even suggested that we sneak out from the reception for a bit so we could take pictures at sunset. It was well worth it. The pictures are breathtaking. Everything about the experience was calm and relaxing. I've never felt more at ease and you can see it in the photographs. I cannot imagine anyone else capturing our wedding so perfectly.

n, but was laid-back and go with the flow at the same time - a perfect balance. My biggest pet peeve with photographers at weddings is when you see more of the photographer than the Bride & Groom. This was not the case with Tim and his assistant. They were unobtrusive and discreet yet still managed to provide amazing pictures that captured the essence of our wedding. We did a destination wedding and I was not able to meet Tim until the day before our wedding, however, he was great at communication and could always be reached through email or phone and showed up to every event on schedule (and even a little early). Tim has a real gift in telling a story through his pictures and if you want a professional photographer that provides amazing pictures without the fuss or stress that sometimes comes with the picture taking process, than I would highly recommend Tim Halberg Photography!

/lake settings. However, we got married in Cabo (so he does beaches too!) and the shots are stunning. Especially the sunset ones. He helped make my destination wedding fun and relaxed while also catching great images! I love so many pictures from our wedding day and highly recommend him!
