Tim and her team were delightful to work with the whole way through our wedding planning and the day of. My husband I were hoping to find a caterer that would help us make our dinner feel more like something you'd find at a restaurant and less like...a wedding dinner. Scott hosted us for a lovely tasting and he helped us settle on a menu that felt fresh, clean, and festive. Nothing heavy and lots of fresh ingredients. They were happy to help us serve a couple of special cocktails and some of our favorites beers, as well. The day itself was beautiful, fun, and delicious thanks to their hardworking and professionalism. Would highly recommend!
We booked Tim the Girl for our Holiday event in December 2022. Ashley was great to work with every step of the way. She made sure we were taken care of and made everything stress-free. We had a buffet dinner with passed appetizers during the cocktail hour. The food was amazing! Highly recommend them!
We booked Tim the Girl and Ivy Hall for our October 2022 wedding. When I first looked through photos of Tim the Girl catering, the plethora of colors and textures in the food really stood out. It was right in line with our vision for the wedding. The menu that Tim the Girl came up with was delicious in both presentation and flavors! The best part is that Tim the Girl customize the menu to your liking. They were very flexible with changing things on the menu and using seasonal foods. Ashley was like a dictionary of food dishes – we would note an ingredient we like and she would start spewing out dishes faster than we could comprehend :D They are all indeed foodies. Our guests loved the manchego cheese with chorizo appetizers, as well as the roasted butternut squash with goat cheese. The bread station was gorgeous! I wish I could have taken it home – whole grain breads paired with different butters and salts and spices. The chicken was juicy and tender and the potatoes perfectly cooked. Our guests loved the food!
Ivy Hall was amazing! We instantly knew this was our venue. Think garden, boho, modern vibes. From the time we booked to the day of everyone was helpful, kind and easy to work with.
We wanted a customized "Asain Infusion" menu and they delivered!! The food was tasty and plentiful. Our friends and family loved it. We have some picky eaters in our family but they all love the food.
We looked at multiple companies to cater our wedding but when we came across Tim the Girl we were immediately drawn to the creative dishes they offered and the idea they could create a menu for us specifically! We were not disappointed! With us planning our wedding from a different state and country at times, Ashley and Tim did a great job working with us and responding to our inquiries in a timely manner. They also worked with my sister and wedding coordinator when we weren't there to make sure everything day-of went smoothly. Our menu was so uniquely us from the hors d'oeuvres to the dinner and the late night tacos! Our guests love the food and it just elevated the evening completely.
Tim the Girl catering was a dream to work with! We used their catering service for our wedding. Ashley was the best! She was so easy to work with and extremely accommodating. We had to change our wedding date due to covid. The whole process was stress free , and best part was that the food was amazing! Would 100% recommend.
We loved having our wedding at Ivy Hall! From our initial emails with Tim and Scott through the planning process and the actual event, everyone (particularly Scott -- give that man a raise!) was so helpful. We chose Ivy Hall partially because we loved the idea of a beautiful outdoor venue, and partially for Tim's food, and neither disappointed.
The space is super flexible, so you can pretty much tailor it to your needs. For example we had everything outside and used the entire back space, including the gravel area that is sometimes a parking lot. The catering is also incredibly flexible. Tim can pretty much do whatever you want, and we loved working with her on our dream menu!
All our vendors (DJ, photographers, florist, cake, coordinator, etc.) said Scott was easy to work with and the venue was simple to set up and get in and out of, so that's great that it was perfect not only for us, but also for others involved.
We really cannot say enough great things about Scott and how communicative and helpful he was! If you want a beautiful venue with amazing food and a very helpful and responsive operations manager, Ivy Hall is the spot! Just check out how lovely our photos turned out from golden hour all the way through the evening!
TLDR: Choose to work with Tim the Girl for the creative and high-quality food, not the customer service. If you work with them, make sure to nail down every single detail and charge before signing the contract.
Working with Tim the Girl allowed us to create a more unique dining experience than most caterers offer, including a custom menu for our reception and dinner served family style. We got a lot of compliments on the food and drinks.
But Tim the Girl was often frustrating to work with. We found that they weren’t forthcoming with information, so we had to pry for everything with detailed questions. The Sales and Events Director who we worked with was difficult to get a hold of - no phone number, and she often didn’t answer our emails until our planner intervened. When we got responses, half of our questions weren’t answered and we had to ask for clarification, messages which sometimes took additional time to receive.
We ended up paying them substantially more money for services than we were expecting from the estimate on the contract, which was frustrating because our original estimate was at the high end of our budget. The big one: we ended up paying about 15% more on our final bill than on the estimate for their renting equipment. This included special items to serve our specific menu in and basic items like baking pans that we were surprised that caterers had to rent. Regardless, they should have communicated earlier, and ideally when we signed the contract, that rentals would be a major cost to us - in the thousands of dollars. We also caught a 20% increase in the price per plate, added right before our final payment was due - though they took that off after a bit of a back and forth where we argued that it had to be a mistake.
Another frustration: one of the bartenders that Tim the Girl contracted for our wedding was fired in the middle of our event for unprofessional behavior which was disruptive.
Ashley at Tim the Girl was such a pleasure to work with, very upbeat and excited to provide the catering for our daughter's wedding in the Texas Hill Country. Her staff was so professional, polite and all worked very well together. The dishes they prepared were of highest quality and tasty, even allowing our daughter and son-in-law to provide their favorite seasoning for the steaks that were served. We all did a tasting a few months before the wedding, and were very amenable to changes that we wanted to do for the event. They were a delight to work with and would not hesitate to use again in the future.
Tim the Girl provided the most amazing service and food for our wedding reception. Ashley was my point-person, and she was very responsive through email and by phone whenever I had questions. Our venue was in the Hill Country and they arranged to have an oven on-site to make sure the food was fresh instead of stuffed into warming boxes for over an hour of travel. Their baker also made our wedding cake -- which was DELICIOUS!
I am a wedding planner (Debra Reece Events) and Tim the Girl did a fantastic job with the catering for my bride. They were so reliable, the staff was friendly, their food was wonderful and they were very easy to work with. I highly recommend them!

We hired Tim the Girl as caterer for our daughter's wedding on 2/2/19. Not only were they an absolute pleasure to work with, they also did an absolutely stunning job! The food was fresh, artistic, and outstanding. They worked around the dietary issues of the bride. They offered a colorful display of appetizers, main and side dishes that truly amazed our guests. They met with us several times before the event to be sure they would be providing everything as desired. Their table settings were elegant and their staff highly professional. They were constantly circulating at our event to pick up any abandoned dishes/glasses. We would highly recommend them to all, and we hope to have the opportunity to get to use them again in the future.
I went with Tim the Girl Catering because I wanted a vendor with fresh, interesting food - that could also be fun and elegant at the same time. Everything I read about TTG was fantastic, and after having an initial phone call with Ashley Linney from their team - we decided they were the right vendor for us. I am so glad we selected TTG...they did not disappoint! I was a picky bride when it came to food, wanting local fare (San Antonio, TX) with hometown favorites (Boston and Chicago) - and Ashley patiently worked through all the menu revisions with me until we got it just right. Our guests are still raving about the Mini Chicago-Style hot dogs!! The walk-through before the wedding with the TTG team was very helpful - and they wrote down EVERY detail, making sure it was all done just the way I envisioned. They were a big part of my wedding team and I definitely recommend TTG for any event!

I was recently a bridesmaid at wedding that was catered by Tim the Girl. The wedding party was all there early to get organized and so had a chance to see their process from start to finish. I was totally blown away by the staff—their manner, their efficiency and most importantly their food! It was so beautiful, healthy, fresh and totally delicious. Definitely would work with them if I ever get married again ;)

We attended a wedding in San Antonio last spring catered by Tim the Girl Catering. It was large outdoor event with over 200 guests. We were in the bridal party, so were at the house early to get ready and help organize. The staff was totally accommodating, easy to communicate with and super efficient. The layout and presentation was absolutely stunning and the food was top notch quality fresh. I highly recommend Tim the Girl Catering!
If you Like plain Jane wedding or catered food Tim the Girl is NOT your vendor. Her food is FRESH, MODERN, locally sourced, exquisite and Delicious!!! I’ve eaten her creations multiple times and my heart always skips a beat when i know the event I’m going to is catered by her. I know it will be spectacular!!! I only wish she lived with me so i could eat her food every single day.
If other vendors say they are fresh and modern they’re nothing compared to Tim the Girl catering.
I was a bridesmaid at a weeding that Tim the Girl had catered. It made me want to get married all over again, just so I could have a repeat on that food :) Just thinking of the appetizer table has me hungry. It was also the most beautifully presented food I've seen at any event (and I've been to many)! A very natural, romantic and unique vibe -- I especially loved the vintage dinnerware that the food was served in. These guys are killing it!
