I can’t recommend Timberlee Hills enough for your wedding! From the moment we saw it, we knew it was the perfect spot for us. We really wanted a venue that had both indoor and outdoor spaces, and this venue checked every box. It’s so well-kept with gorgeous views and beautiful landscaping.
Jessie, the venue coordinator, and Kelsey, the owner, were both amazing to work with from start to finish. They gave us tours, encouraged us to explore the grounds, answered every question, and made sure we felt completely comfortable and confident leading up to our big day. Jessie was a joy to work with throughout the planning process. She was always responsive, flexible, and full of helpful vendor recommendations.
The getting ready area was perfect for what we needed. It was spacious and comfortable to fit the whole bridal party. The staff was so attentive, making sure we had water, snacks, and anything else we needed to start the day off right while they set everything up. It really helped us relax and enjoy the morning.
On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly thanks to Jessie’s organization and the amazing Timberlee Hills team. We got so many compliments from guests and vendors about how beautiful the venue was and how efficient everything ran.
Our day was absolutely perfect and held in our favorite place, Traverse City, and we owe so much of that to Timberlee Hills and their amazing staff.

We live in Southern California but chose to get married in Traverse City because it’s such a special place to us, and my husband is originally from Michigan. We had around 80 guests fly in from out of town and another 40 drive in from other parts of the state, and every single person was in awe of this hidden gem.
From the lush greenery and gorgeous flowers to the sweeping views and beautiful outdoor/indoor space, Timberlee is breathtaking from every angle. When I first visited, I honestly didn’t expect much, but the moment I arrived, I knew this was where I wanted to get married. The indoor/outdoor duality of the venue is absolutely perfect! Our wedding day ended up being colder than expected, but it couldn’t have worked out better. We held our ceremony outside (and told guests to bring jackets!), then enjoyed cocktail hour with both indoor and outdoor access, dinner inside, and dancing outside under the covered area. It was truly the best of both worlds. Not all venues can offer that kind of flexibility. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was to dance outdoors, feeling the fresh breeze without breaking a sweat. It made the entire evening feel magical, comfortable, and unforgettable.
A huge part of what made our day so seamless and special was Jessie, the venue coordinator/day-of coordinator. She is incredible! Jessie is organized, kind, creative, and truly a professional in every sense. She offered great advice, found alternatives whenever something wasn’t possible, and made sure every detail was handled perfectly. Because of her, I felt calm and confident all day long.
If you’re considering Timberlee Hills for your wedding, do it. You’ll be blown away by the beauty, the service, and the experience. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind venue and an absolute treasure in Traverse City.

Set in the hills of Northern Michigan near Traverse City, MI, Timberlee Hills is a wedding venue that boasts a panoramic view of Leelanau County. During a search for their own wedding venue, Mike and Kelsey Zaryczny fell in love with the scenery and potential of Timberlee Hills. The pair saw it as fate when the property went up for sale in 2017 and have been hosting weddings ever since.
Once a lively ski hill in the 1970s, the Zarycznys transformed Timberlee Hills to host their loved ones on their wedding day. This project is what sparked their passion and desire to do the same for other couples. The wide, open space leaves endless room for possibilities. The outdoor ceremony area surrounded by the beauty of the hills offers privacy in a natural setting. For an intimate wedding, the fireplace room is a cozy spot for guests of up to 70 to gather, while indoor and outdoor reception spaces are also available for up to 250 guests. With a great outside space, the venue has optional enhancements such as yard games and a bonfire to add a little something different to your wedding reception.
There is nothing the team hasn’t thought of, with ample parking, an outdoor backup ceremony site- under the covered patio, and a versatile indoor/outdoor reception space for guests to celebrate. The venue also offers a wedding coordinator, staff to coordinate the ceremony, and setup and teardown of the tables and chairs. When it comes to your magical day, Mike, Kelsey and team know from experience how to plan and host the wedding of your dreams.

t spot for ceremonies and receptions. Jessie is the kindest, most hard-working person—she handles everything and makes it look easy. We were able to stop by a couple times before the day to take measurements and see the space, and Jessie answered every question we asked in a timely manner. On the day of the wedding, not enough can be said about just how smoothly everything went, and we did not have a wedding coordinator, so it was truly Jessie and her team running everything. Someone from Timberlee was there at every turn, guiding vendors and guests, helping us transition to the reception, even carrying a table for us to place drinks on when we were getting photos. The getting ready space for the bridal party is amazing and spacious, and the guests loved the view, the games, and the bonfire. There were so many seemingly small things Timberlee did for us that I'll never forget.
Timberlee is such a special place, and I could go on and on, but it really was the most beautiful and joyous day.

usband and I first found Timberlee Hills when we were looking for an outdoor wedding spot in northern Michigan. Living near Detroit we reached out and Jessie was kind enough to send us videos of the venue (this was before they had such a wonderful wedding site). Jessie was wonderful to work with; she was quick in her responses and always willing to help in any way that she could.
When it came wedding time, it was raining all morning. Jessie and her team were gracious enough to hold off moving chairs to the secondary location until the last possible moment; the rain stopped, and the sun came out.
The location is perfect! It's beautiful and true northern Michigan, but close enough to Traverse City that you have plenty of options for people to stay. The venue is ideal and allows you to take advantage of the natural beauty. And Jessie and her team are top notch. Today is my 1-year anniversary and I could not have found a more perfect spot to marry the man of my dreams.

Don't hesitate! she is worth it! Timberlee as a venue was beautiful! We wanted a fall landscape and this venue sits on a ski hill with a valley view. We had the perfect weekend to take advantage of the colors there. We loved the dance floor being outside under a covered porch, and it cooled us off as we danced the night away. We also took advantage of having a fire pit there and it was a hit and a great fall add to the night. So many picture opportunities just at the venue itself! Highly recommend start to finish! ok absolutely stunning because of this. Even if it rains the covered porch still has the same beautiful view for you to get married under. The indoor dinner area is gorgeous with lights hanging from the ceiling, very "warm" and welcoming. The covered porch is awesome for dancing since you get a cool nighttime breeze. They have fire pits. And above all, the master behind everything: Jessie. Jessie is the day of coordinator, the coordinator to all things wedding day and is the best, most kind person to work with. The day of our wedding she was constantly on the move helping in any way possible to make our day perfect. She is such a calming presence and supported me before walking down the aisle. The beauty of the venue alone is enough to convince you to get married here, but what you don't know is Jessie, alone should be the reason you decide to get married here. I cannot recommend this place enough. This venue is the reason I will think for the rest of my life of how beautiful and perfect my wedding was. nything that could arise. Everyone was so prompt, I was able to focus on getting ready and spending quality time with my bridesmaids because the staff knew what to do without issue. The bar was well-staffed and our guests absolutely LOVED the lawn. The dance floor is pretty open, and even though it wasn’t packed all night, no one felt that as a lack because there were so many great things to do and people stayed late anyway and had a great time! We booked our wedding from our home in Phoenix, and I literally didn’t see it until the day before our wedding. I wanted a spot that would allow us to enjoy a good amount of outside time being Pure Michigan, but also had accommodations for rain or heat in case the weather wasn’t cooperating. Everyone absolutely raved about the scenery and how great the venue was. It truly was the star of the show. The most memorable part of the day was during dinner, we had a freak 30 second downpour on an otherwise beautiful sunny day, and immediately after we got a double rainbow, and the end of it was right in front of us. We like to think it was my late mother-in-law shining down on her baby boy on his wedding day, and we would’ve missed it if it wasn’t for the beautiful views and indoor/outdoor space with doors that open out to the patio for a more “Al fresco” experience.

Where Jessie ensured we were ready for wedding week, Jolene stepped in once it was game time. The support, professionalism and FUN we had setting everything up and having our wedding will live in our memories for the rest of our lives. The outdoor aisle was beautiful, the sun came out for a beautiful September day, and our reception area was a twinkle light dream. While we partied and forgot to walk around the grounds, the land this property is on is breathtaking and the team and owners have added personal touches throughout it. These are some of the best people you will ever work with, and we were so grateful we got to say “si, para sempre”, at Timberlee.

The assistant coordinator was with me before I wanted down the aisle and I was freaking out because I hate public speaking but had to say my own vows in front of everyone! She was so helpful in keeping me calm and confidence I needed! Jessie herself is a dream come true! She asked if there was issues between people she needed to look out for and if something went wrong, I didn’t know it because she took care of it! They were willing to be flexible to make sure the wedding was tailored to our needs, and the second a planning “to do” appeared in my mind, there was an email in my inbox with next steps and easy-to-use tools and forms. Communication was really easy. We felt really supported knowing that although this was our first time planning a wedding, it is NOT Jessie’s first time coordinating one, and she would not let something important pass us by! On the day of the wedding, Jessie and the team arranged everything so smoothly, including little touches like having a margarita ready to go for the marriage certificate signing. :) Everything was beautiful, there were no surprises, and we did not have to worry once about weather, parking, catering space, day-of coordination, bathroom set-up, or any of the other “what-ifs” that can arise when picking a venue. We’d go back and get married at Timberlee every time.

Jessie (the coordinator) was the absolute BEST from day 1 - answered all of our questions, walked us through the venue many times and overall helped make our day go as smoothly as possible. Last minute changes? No problem - Jessie made sure everything was exactly as we had hoped for. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have an unforgettable wedding. We love Timberlee! Also, the owner slings the absolutely delicious late night pizza - doesn't get much better than that!!

ssie, the wedding coordinator, is absolutely amazing at her job and will be there to assist you the entire time. Thanks to her, I was able to enter into my wedding day knowing I was taken care of and that everything would flow perfectly. There could not be a more gorgeous ceremony location than at their outdoor location overlooking the beautiful outdoors. It is the perfect combination of an indoor/outdoor wedding venue so you can have the best of both worlds! If I could experience my wedding day all over again I would do it in a heartbeat thanks to Timberlee Hills!!

From day dot, Jessie was amazing with communication. She gave us recommendations that made our wedding better. She helped us with details, planning, concerns, but most importantly? She celebrated wins with us, and she made sure we got to have special moments during the busy wedding day.
Timberlee Hills isn’t just a gorgeous spot for a ceremony and reception, it’s a place that will help you create cherished moments before, during, and after your wedding. I don’t think a review can fully capture how happy we are that we had our wedding at Timberlee Hills, but we hope it gives you some idea.

ely amazing and goes above and beyond to make sure the day is everything you want it to be. On Friday before the wedding, we walked into a beautiful venue basically ready for the reception, all we had to do was put up a few signs and our centerpieces on the tables. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and has tons of options for games, late night snacks and other amenities. Our family and friends couldn’t stop talking about the beautiful view from the dance floor (which can be outside!!). All in all, we couldn’t have been happier with the venue we chose and the support we had and couldn’t recommend this place enough!

e and they were absolutely stunning so we booked sight unseen! The venue is gorgeous and truly gave us the perfect Northern Michigan summertime views/vibe that we were looking for. We traveled to MI several times before the wedding and each time they were super flexible about us visiting the venue and working with our difficult schedules. Jessie is the event coordinator and she is AMAZING! She truly goes above and beyond helping, not only on the day of the wedding but she helped during the planning process too. She was easy to get in contact with through email or over the phone and she was so willing to answer all my questions and offer suggestions. I can't say enough good things about her and about the other staff members at the venue! We were able to decorate the night before our wedding because there wasn't a Friday wedding and so that reduced the day of stress so much! The ceremony rehearsal went smoothly and efficiently and Jessie coordinated the ceremony perfectly the day of too! They have great beer and wine selections included in all of their different packages and we did the late night pizza option which exceeded our expectations! Overall, I was so impressed with Timberlee Hills and Jessie and would highly recommend them to anyone who asks! If you are looking for a fun indoor/outdoor wedding venue with beautiful views and great staff, this is the place to go!

pful. She responds to emails/text so fast. Her natural ability to predict and take care of what needs to be done is invaluable. Jessie made me feel like I had a friend, not just someone we hired, who wanted to take amazing care of our wedding.
The lawn/garden areas were wonderfully maintained. The owners, landscapers, bar staff, and coordinators take immense pride in their property and it really shows. We got married in late May when the trees were blooming and spring plants were thriving. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined!

. They have a backup rain plan, huge space for food and offer lots of fun add-ons like a popcorn bar and a mimosa bar for when my bridesmaids and I were getting ready. So professional, our wedding went on seamlessly! Jessie and the rest of the team at Timberlee are very knowledgeable and helpful. Run don’t walk to Timberlee to book your wedding!

d had to postpone. There were limited new dates at this amazing venue but they worked with me every step of the way into my new date. When we booked last year there was a different coordinator on staff. Their new coordinator Jessie reached out to me a few months ago to tell me she is up to speed on my wedding. And she was!! Jessie was INCREDIBLE! She was always so helpful & extremely responsive to my 1000 daily questions & emails. She even let us tour again this year since it had been 2.5 years since we booked.
The day before the wedding we were able to set up and she was amazing! She helped us through the entire process and even the rehearsal. She provided us with so much guidance.
On the wedding day Jessie really out did herself. I had wedding guests making comments to me about how amazing she was!! She was there for every moment and every "issue" yet, she was almost invisible. She did so much for us without us even asking, she just knew what to do. Our day was absolutely flawless because of her.
Mike & Kelsey are such a sweet couple who truly love what they do & they go in with their whole heart. Mike was there with positive vibes, comfort, & encouragement when I lined up to walk the isle.
Jessie's assistant Claudia was there with me as well before walking the isle. She made sure I was not seen by the groom and she get me fluffed, puffed, & ready to go.
My wedding was 4 weeks ago and I am still getting compliments about how amazing the wedding & the venue was.
There is honestly not enough I can say to describe how amazing Timberlee Hills is. If I did it all over again, I would do it at Timberlee.

The venue was beautiful, and the convenience of having the ceremony and the reception at the same location allowed everyone to focus on the moment and truly enjoy themselves. We highly recommend Timberlee Hills and their amazing team.

trees and hills in the background, but the indoor area for the reception is beautiful as well. It was the perfect place to pull my 'rustic yet elegant' dreams together for our wedding. The venue's coordinator, Jessie, was absolutely amazing and was along every step of the way to help answer questions and coordinate the perfect event. She helped handle any last minute issues, was very attentive with answering emails within one to two days, and gave endless recommendations and guidance for setting up the venue. I definitely let Jessie take the lead on setting up the tables and she did not disappoint! Everything was beautiful and the layout was better than I could've imagined. The owners, Mike and Kelsey, were also very quick to answer any questions and were on site the day of the wedding to help ensure everything went off without a hitch. Overall, we could not recommend Timberlee enough and hope that everyone we know in the future gets married here so we can keep coming back to this beautiful venue!

ks beautiful rolling hills covered in trees. I got married in August because I wanted more greenery to go with my theme, but I can only imagine how breathtaking it is in the fall too! Everything from inside the reception hall to out on the lawn for the ceremony is so picturesque, it was absolutely perfect!! And if that’s not enough to convince you to book this place, the people who run it are top notch as well. The owners, Mike and Kelsey, were actively involved in everything that day. They were even the bartenders at my reception, which I absolutely loved because I didn’t want anyone going overboard and causing a scene. They both assured me that they would keep an eye on everyone and cut anyone off if they needed to. The wedding coordinator, Jessie, was on it every step of the way as well. She was available to answer any questions I had, big or small. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right time and made sure everything ran smoothly the whole day. Everything went off without a hitch thanks to these guys! I cannot recommend them enough!! I was able to turn my dream wedding into reality thanks to this place and, I am so incredibly grateful for all the hard work they put in to make my dreams come true!!

on top of helping with set up, and helpful to make sure things looked like I wanted. On the day of, she was great about moving decorations to adapt as the event moved on and still have things looking great. She was also super flexible with us about where we had our dance floor space (we moved outside because it was cooler outside), moving our cake cutting outside as well for lighting and again because it was cooler. They were also very understanding when our guest list was smaller than expected and things started breaking up earlier than planned, we had wanted a popcorn bar in the evening but opted not to at the last minute and they had no problem with it and refunded without making me feel bad. The venue was absolutely beautiful with an 'outdoorsy', woodsy feel. We heard from many of our guests what a beautiful venue and gorgeous place for a wedding it was. And we agree! Such a lush, green back drop for our special day, it made for some wonderful photos! I would highly recommend this venue! We loved it!

She planned, considering details that few would even think of;
she decorated with skills of an artist;
she hosted as if the event was her own;
she lugged ladders, tables, chairs and so many other big, heavy things effortlessly;
and she was so calm, cool and collected the entire time!
I am beyond appreciative! She made my daughter's wedding a dream come true for all of us!
Despite the beauty of the venue (which it really is beautiful), you won't find a Jessie anywhere else!

weather was not cooperating, raining all morning until right before the ceremony, and even on the short notice the staff was able to move the chairs back outside for us. It was so worth it because the views are totally unforgettable. After the ceremony the patio space allowed us to have the indoor/outdoor feel we wanted for the reception, dancing on the patio and all, and we got to end the night with a bonfire. Truly a dream.
I want to give a special shout out to Jessie the coordinator - she was the best! She helped in so many ways all weekend, since we chose to do oue rehersal dinner at the venue. Every little thing she did all weekend really made my wedding perfect.
I cannot recommend this place enough!

The owners and wedding planner were great at communicating and being flexible. A huge thank you for sticking with us since 2019! You are all so amazing and our day would not have been as special without you all. The venue is simply stunning- gorgeous views everywhere you look. It is breathtaking! We also had them make pizzas for a late night snack, they were delicious. We are so grateful that we shared this experience with the staff of Timberlee Hills. These individuals are beyond thoughtful, driven, and committed to making your day your dream come true. I highly recommend getting married or hosting an event at Timberlee Hills.
