So...for those of you who aren't aware, Tong hires and organizes a team of makeup artists and hair stylists. She is a very nice person and tries her best to work with you before th...
e event. However, sadly, she doesn't appear to be responsive when something doesn't go right.
I am the sister of the bride and was the maid of honor. The schedule somehow got knocked way off and I was told that my hair couldn't be done until the very end! My sister needed to get over to the venue and so I could not go over in the shuttle with them and missed all the pictures with my sister and the bridesmaids as she was getting ready - the maid of honor!
To add insult to injury my hair didn't turn out the way i would have liked and there was no time to fix it. And for the grand finale..one of Tong's beauty artists (@beautybyjill) even posted a lovely picture of my sister with her bridesmaids on Instagram and of course I was missing from the picture. Very insensitive. They apparently went with her to the venue while i was left behind with the stylist, hair still undone.
I still have yet to hear back from Tong. I wrote a 2nd email since it's been three days but at this point it really doesn't matter. These pictures are lifelong memories of what happened and at the very least she should have been on top of this and/or responded promptly after it happened.
In conclusion, at these prices, the "coordinator' should really be on top of the coordination and scheduling and not leave it to her hires to make sure that happens. *And yes my sister (the bride) paid them with tip per the wedding coordinator's recommendation.
This is a long overdue review. My wedding was in August 29, 2015. Toni was amazing! I was extremely uncertain on how I wanted my hair and makeup to be for my wedding. On the first ...
trial, I had with Toni, I immediately felt at ease and comfortable. She was always very friendly and would listen to my requests. After the first trial, I knew that I wanted her to do my makeup and hair because she is very talented and does a beautiful job. I had 3 trials all together… 2 for my makeup and 3 for my hair. Each time she did exactly what I wanted but the problem was with me because I did not know what I wanted. The result was perfect because I felt beautiful on my wedding day. I have now also used her services for other events in which I needed my makeup or hair done. I definitely recommend her and will continue to use her services in the future. Thank you Toni!
T oni did a killer job on my hair and make up for my wedding. I looked like myself, but a super glamorous, gorgeous version. I just got back my wedding photos and am so grateful fo...
r the stunning work. She did my mother’s hair and make up and she looked absolutely beautiful. I had never seen my mother look so elegant and glam-- Toni really encouraged her to step outside her comfort zone and try something special which really paid off.
What initially drew me to Toni were the great Before & After shots on her site which really show her talent. I just love how happy and beautiful all the brides and mothers of brides look on that page. Toni was extremely communicative and friendly with questions over email, so we set up a trial.
I got to know Toni very well because we did three hair trials! I just wasn’t sure what I wanted my hair to do so I tried a few things. Each time Toni was extremely gracious, patient, sweet, fun, caring, and professional. She even made me a bagel when my stomach started rumbling. The more time I spent with her, the more she felt like a friend. She is a very soothing person to spend time with and we would chat about all sorts of things. As for make up, she hit it out of the park the first trial. We settled easily on the exact style I wanted to do and it looked amazing. She has lots of options which are figured out together in your trial- airbrush or traditional, natural eyelashes or adhesives, various stylings. It was evident that my happiness with my wedding look was important to her— she called me on the phone to discuss ideas after our initial trial when I realized I wanted something different than I initially asked for. She made me feel comfortable enough with exploring my own desires that I felt safe to do so, and in the end that was what I really needed to be THRILLED with the final look. Without her encouragement I might have settled for something that wasn’t quite what I wanted, so I really thank her for that. That is the kind of person you want on your wedding team, on the most important day ever to achieve your dream look.
On the day she was right on time and everything was as smooth as could be. We had already nailed down exactly what I wanted my hair to do, and she perfectly repeated her magic make up art exactly as it looked on our first trial. I felt so calm because I knew I was in good hands and with someone I enjoyed spending time with. It is so important on your wedding day to be surrounded by your trusted and favorite people—having my Bridesmaids and Mom and Toni in the suite with me that morning was just what I needed. She was one of the girls.
My wedding was during a crazy Indian Summer so it was 100 degrees in Mid-October and my venue was all outdoors with no AC. We spent hours in the sun taking pictures before the ceremony, which I was freaked out about. Needlessly though—My make up did not need any touch ups!!!!! It looked amazing all night. My hair stayed as well! She finished my hair and make up at 11:30 am and I was at the venue until 1 am and didn’t even use the touchup kit she sent with me. I didn’t need to fix my hair or spray it— the bobby pins held it all up expertly, even with very minimal initial use of hairspray because she knows I like my hair to look soft and natural without product.
Look no further if you need a make up and/or hair artist for your wedding or photo shoot!

Toni is fantastic! I am not a "makeup person" so it was important to find the right artist for my wedding day. During the trial session she was very patient, and listened to what I...
wanted. But she also wasn't afraid to push me out of my comfort zone, and thank goodness, because her instinct about what would look best on my face was right on! As a result, I had a beautiful, romantic look for my big day that was a reflection of my very best self. Toni's pricing was standard for bridal hair/makeup in my area, and I felt comfortable and relaxed in her hands. I highly recommend Toni!
Toni did such an amazing job on hair and makeup for me and my wedding party. Toni worked so hard and was so sensitive to what we liked and disliked. She made me and everyone else f...
eel so beautiful while still looking natural and like ourselves. Toni really knows what she is doing and has a really great calm and professional attitude that makes everyone feel comfortable. Toni spent a lot of time planning and prepping for my wedding and discussing details to me. She was so attentive and I got AMAZING feedback and comments on my look. Thanks Toni!!

I first met Toni at my trial about 2 months before my wedding. I was really nervous because of all the horror stories I had heard. Before the trial she sent me a questionnaire and ...
asked for a few pictures so she could prepare for our session. She was very on top of everything and the trial went smoothly with only a few tweaks. On the day of the wedding she came on time and did a fabulous job! She makes sure everything is perfect! I was so pleased with the outcome (and I'm really picky). Toni is the best!!!
I chose Toni after searching through all of theknot.com's featured makeup artists, as her style seemed to be the best match for what I was looking for. Toni helped me with my hair...
and makeup on my wedding day, and also helped to do my mom's and my maid of honor's hair. I did not do a trial, so everything Toni did was based on a phone conversation, email, and photo references. That being said, I am very pleased with her work. I wanted natural makeup, which she did perfectly, and although I already had something in mind, I took her suggestions/recommendations and I could not be happier with my final look. I am very happy with how the photos turned out. As for my hair, there was one curl that was out of place which showed up in pictures (I didn't find out until later), but it could have easily been fixed with a pin, had I known about it. I asked for volume, which she gave (and was quite a mission to wash out afterwards), but I would have preferred if it was positioned more on the top of my head than the back, though perhaps this is me just being picky. My maid of honor was mostly happy with her hair style; it did not turn out exactly how she had imagined based on photo references, but in all fairness, there was not enough time that morning to be particular and discuss what could have been improved. With my mom, because her hair is thinning, she needed more volume than she was given, but again, to Toni's credit, time was not on our side that morning. Otherwise, all my contact with Toni was via email and phone prior to my wedding day, and she was super responsive and helpful throughout the process. She cared about what I wanted, and she wanted to know a bit more about me to make the experience more personable. She came up with a day-of schedule, arrived on time, and went out of her way to accommodate me and my budget, which I really appreciated.
Toni Brides is extremely professional, and punctual. She spent a great deal of time with me during our consultation going over all the details, and was able to work within my budge...
t and overall did a great job and I was pleased with the results. The only negative was that my hair although very nice, did not resemble the images I shared of how I wanted it to look ahead of time. Other than that, I would highly recommend this vendor.

th her. My make-up and hair looked gorgeous after trial as well as on the event day. I’ve gotten many compliments from my friends and family. And even my photographer kept telling me how professional Toni’s make-up looks. She also did my mom’s make-up without trial. I sent her a picture in advance and she did an exact look on the event day. My mom really likes very bright make-up and she was happy with the result too. I highly recommend Toni if you wish to have a professional make-up artist you can trust.
Toni did a hair and makeup trial with me. She was incredibly professional, and even let me change the date of my trial with no drama. She made me feel like a blank canvas that was ...
being painted on by an artist - her attention to detail is incredible, and she had really great advice about getting me the look that I wanted. I can't wait to see how she transforms my bridesmaid and my mother on the big day!
I had my trial hair and makeup session done with Toni a couple of days ago. I have never had this done before and Toni made me feel very comfortable. She listens to your concerns...
and offers great suggestions. She is truly an artist. The finished look after the trial was truly incredible. That evening, I received many compliments especially on the hair and eyes. I can't wait to have my hair and makeup done for my wedding day by Toni.
I just had my wedding and Toni was amazing. My hair had grown out a bit and Toni was able to make it exactly as I wanted it. She also made a beautiful floral head comb for my hair. I felt amazing, and for the first time, did not feel shy in front of a camera. I can't say enough good things about her. I would highly recommend Toni for your special day.
