At first he seemed organized. He gave us an extremely detailed worksheet to fill out for the order of the reception, the song selection, etc. We spent a lot of time filling it out and making sure it was exactly what we wanted. To my dumbfounded surprise, when we arrived to the reception, he completely disregarded our requests. He said, "I saw the songs you said you wanted me to play, I downloaded half." I was very disappointed in the length of time spent discussing going over walk out details, RIGHT as we were about to walk out. The information had already been communicated prior to the event, but again, he disregarded it. It only gets better, when he PLAYED THE WRONG SONG FOR OUR FIRST DANCE. We requested the Perfect by Ed Sheeran. There are multiple versions to this song. We did not request an alternate version. Actually, we hate the Beyonce version. So naturally, that's what he played. Guest complained that the cocktail music before we arrived was too loud, mother of the bride had to tell him to turn it down because people were yelling to talk. My husband and I love Michael Buble, so we requested him for dinner music. Again, he did not follow what was on our contract/worksheet and played regular pop music. One of the groomsmen had to remind him of our request on our behalf. All night, my husband had to keep the DJ on schedule, reminding him of the bouquet toss and the cake cutting. However, no one even knew the cake cutting was happening. Whatever announcement he made, I don't remember, but it didn't get anyones attention. He played the song we wanted to cut the cake to which was over before we even cut the cake. His awareness was lacking, were very close to him, and he proceeded to play more dance music as we actually went to cut the cake. If you want someone to play music, he will. But no promises after that. I don't understand why he was so specific in his multi page questionnaire if he isn't going to follow it during the wedding reception anyways.
