Food and service for phenomenal. Exceeded our expectations. The food was incredible (Sean our chef was also a DELIGHT to have !) . People could not stop talking about unique and fantastic the appetizers were. We had steak and lobster and some of our guests were from Brazil and were used to incredible steaks.. and they said they were the best steaks they have had in the United States. The service was also impeccable. Super professional, thoughtful, timely, respectful and truly a joy to work with. Will definitely hire them again for another event!

Amazing Food!!! The crew that arrived on scene was so professional and efficient. They coordinated so well with our stylist on setting tables and getting us ready to go! Our bartender (Bob) was so nice and really made everyone feel like a “regular” Sam who coordinated everything that day was exceptional attentive and inconspicuous the entire night! It was so good I want to have another party!! My phone has been blowing up with compliments for the catering team and food!

I highly recommend TSH Catering for any of your future events! The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and they just made the day run so smoothly. Our guests keep telling us how much they loved the food, especially the passed hors d'oeuvre. Sarah did a great job leading up to our wedding, starting with the tasting, which was a blast, the menu selection, and all the small details in between. Sarah also worked very well with our venue coordinator to ensure everything went smooth and that we enjoyed our wedding to the fullest. TSH was able to accommodate a few more obscure requests that we had as well so that we were able to make our event exactly what we envisioned.

Most of my friends are married at this point so I’ve been to 10-20 weddings in the decade or so. TSH had the best food, both in terms of appetizers and main courses, and it wasn’t close. They were also very accommodating to food allergies, all our requests, and the staff was very friendly and nice. Couldn’t be more satisfied, I’ve recommended them to friends without hesitation.

We can not say enough wonderful things about the team at Timothy S. Hopkins Catering. In the months leading up to our wedding they were responsive, helpful and accommodating. I was an email happy bride and Amber and team never missed a beat. On the day of the wedding, everything was absolutely perfect. The food was phenomenal, even better than we remembered it at the tasting. Amber was on top of everything. She had drinks and a tray of all of our apps in our hands before we even entered happy hour. They kept a great pace of the evening and made adjustments as appropriate. The waitstaff and bartenders were kind, accommodating and fun! We have also been told by almost every one of our guests how great everything was. Our guests made a point to comment on how wonderful the staff was. We have also heard things like "the food was insane" and "best food I've ever had at a wedding" (and our guests go to a lot of weddings). Amber even washed and kept track of our wedding flutes and answered my late night frantic email! We will use Timothy Hopkins Catering for all our big events!

Our perfect June wedding luncheon was set high above the beach, under a tent, on an emerald-green yawning lawn, surrounded by salmon-pink beach roses, in Gloucester, MA. I wanted a menu comprised of Summer classics that were refreshing, light and served cool, because of the clear memory I had of the wedding of my dear Matron of Honour’s wedding, which took place decades past in Richmond, VA, on quite possibly one of the most humid days on record. Beverley had a delicious and refreshing menu at her wedding celebration too, served in a similar style. Timothy S. Hopkins Catering of Essex, MA delivered the most creative wedding menu options and services for our relaxed, buffet-style luncheon, served midday under a tent. Everyone we spoke with from THC was always so friendly, patient, most professional, and kind. Some examples of most tempting hors d’oeuvres we chose included the Raspberry and Brie Phyllos, Maple Glazed Scallops and Bacon, Lobster Salad on Homemade Potato Chips, and Sweet Plantain Cups Filled with Mango Salsa. Everything was beautifully presented, most delicious and disappeared quickly. For our main course(s), we offered our guests the options of delicious, Chilled, Sliced Tenderloin of Beef with a Trio of Sauces: Horseradish Cream, Wasabi Cream and Ancho Aioli; plus Olive Oil Poached Salmon with Dill Sauce. We added the vegan option of Spiralized Vegetable Salad with Zucchini, Summer Squash, Carrots with Chickpeas and Lemon Tahini Vinaigrette; and had a platter or two of Shaved Brussels Sprouts, Grilled Seasonal Vegetables and delicious Fingerling Potatoes. In addition to the wedding cake(s), THC provided delectable Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and tempting Chocolate Mousse Cups. Nothing was left. It was as if all the seagulls maneuvering along the beach had attended our wedding too. Many of our more senior attendees told us it was the best food they had ever experienced at a wedding! Hurrah, Hooray! Six months later we are still hearing the accolades. From start to finish, everything was great. Most legitimately the best caterer on the North Shore.

TSH catered my daughters wedding for 50 people. We had a lobster bake that included clam chowder, steamers, chicken, salads, roasted vegetables and the very best cornbread! The lobsters were very large, I would say minimum of 1 1/2 lbs. One of the guests commented that the clam chowder was the best they ever had..all the food including the many appetizers were all very very good! Let me also point out that the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. An outstanding experience all around. Special thanks to Paul for taking care of all of our needs!

We hired Timothy S. Hopkins to cater our micro-wedding with 20 guests at the House of the Seven Gables and they were phenomenal. The food was AMAZING, my dad still won't stop talking about how impressed he was by the chicken. Personally I'm still dreaming about the chocolate cupcakes. The staff was also very safe, everyone wore masks at all times. They were all incredible attentive and considerate, even setting aside a tray of appetizers because the groom and I had missed cocktail hour while finishing up our photos. Their communication leading up to the event was also great, I hired them less than a month out from the event (we planned the entire wedding in 5 weeks) and they made what could have been a very frantic time quite easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone getting married in the area!

We used Tim Hopkins as our caterer for a 40 person COVID-safe wedding reception in Manchester-by-the-Sea in September of 2020. Sita was an amazing help in planning the menu and helping us add details to make the wedding safe for our guests. Tim was able to host an intimate tasting for us, where we found out how amazing the food was; the hors d'oeuvres were delicious and so filling we barely had room for the well prepare entrée options. The day prior to the event Paul and Sam, Tim Hopkin’s “day of event coordinators” visited our wedding venue location and spent an hour with us confirming the details and helping us iron out the last remaining open items. On the day of the wedding, Sam and his team arrived early to ensure everything was ready for when our guests arrived. Their well-seasoned bartender made the night roll smoothly. The clam chowder before dinner was a hit and Sam’s team did a great job managing the Island Creek raw bar set up. Sam was amazing on his feet during the after party and his team was polite, friendly, and most important VERY COVID-safe. We highly recommend Tim Hopkins for their all-around service for anyone’s future weddings. Sita, Paul, Sam, Tim – thank you for all of your hard work and amazing job!

We hired Timothy Hopkins catering for a last minute wedding that we were forced to change due to Covid 19. We had heard great things about them ,but what they delivered was above our expectations....everything was wonderful, from the food to the service ,the presentation ...I cant explain how great everything was ! We had a plated dinner for 62 outside on the ocean and they executed it perfectly ,it was a 90 degree day and they cooked outside under a tent and the p staff was so incredibly delightful and prompt !.....I cant express how wonderful the food and service was ! I would highly recommend them for any event and I will continue to use them for any event I may have in the future !

I am already trying to think of ways to work with the TSH team again; they were one of the best caterers I've worked with. The team went above and beyond for us and completely exceeded our expectations. Sarah and Katie were incredible to work with. They completely understood our vision and helped it come to fruition in the best way possible. Sarah helped customize our menu and coordinate with our vendors while Katie assisted with decor and also provided all of our flowers (probably the best decision I made!). This team is versatile and worth.every.penny. The best recipe for a good event is threefold: food, alcohol, and music. Our experience with Timothy Hopkins was fantastic from start to finish. Adam and his whole team could not have been more helpful and accommodating, the tasting was great fun and everything was perfect on the day. The range and quality of the food was amazing, and we are still getting compliments on how great the apps were! we would highly recommend!

We were lucky to have Timothy Hopkins cater our 185-person tented wedding in Andover, MA. They are hands down the best in the area. The staff (servers and bartenders) was fantastic and the food was excellent. We received many compliments about the quality of the food (rave reviews of our cocktail hour appetizers + entrees; some of the best wedding food guests had eaten). No detail was left untouched. Sita was a pleasure to work with and was extremely helpful in organizing the food for our big day. They were able to work outside and integrated with other vendors seamlessly. Honestly, just outstanding all around. The food was AMAZING, not just "wedding food" good but amazing in general. I have gotten SO many compliments on the food. Adam was our guy the day of the wedding and I honestly couldn't have done any of it without him. He took my vision of what I wanted for my backyard lakeside wedding and made it come to life. He worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect. you definitely get what you pay for as far as price but still HIGHLY recommend.

How lucky were we to work with Tim Hopkins for our recent backyard wedding and brunch! Both events went off without a hitch, the food was outstanding, the staff was friendly and efficient , and our our guests with dietary restrictions were effortlessley accommodated. Our event (200 guests) was very special. Tim and Paul were great and allowed us to enjoy ourselves and not worry about any of the details.

We've had guests speaking to us about the extraordinary appetizers nonstop - this was amazing food, exquisite local farm to table options with more affordable pricing than other places we looked at, and the team was incredibly easy to work with. They were able to accommodate weather changes, working with outside vendors, and integration with our signage. A complete pleasure to work with all around.

The whole TSH team was great, from our initial conversation through the event. They worked with us to pick the menu items that best fit our venue, vibe, and guest list. The tasting itself felt like a five star meal - they gave us space to eat and discuss without putting any pressure on our feedback or choices. For the wedding day, the wait staff and bartenders were absolutely lovely, the service was impeccable and the food and drinks flowed the whole day. As for the food itself, more than one guest commented that the filet was the best steak they had ever had. Not just at a wedding, but ever. The attention to detail and quality of their food and service was above and beyond what we expected, and helped make our wedding feel so special and personal.

Tim Hopkins and staff were amazing to work with for our wedding. From putting together an amazing menu (including vegan option), to searching down a vendor who would rent us a dance floor without a tent, Lindsey and the whole team blew away my expectations. TSH was recommended to us to cater our wedding and they did not disappoint! They were very flexible with our unique wedding day plan, preparing a delicious family style dinner for just a few of our closest friends and family in addition to appetizers for a cocktail reception for the remainder of our guests. The food was delicious, they were able to accommodate ALL of it to be gluten free, and the service was very professional. Sita was extremely helpful in the planning process, very responsive to questions and went above and beyond to help plan the perfect evening for us. Dozens upon dozens of our wedding guests remarked to us, unprovoked, as early as the passed hors d'oeuvres, that our wedding had the BEST FOOD they had ever had at a wedding. Timothy S. Hopkins Catering blew us completely out of the water, and my bride and I knew what to expect because they had already hosted us to a sumptuous and generous tasting appointment before we had even booked them! At our tasting, we got to meet the man himself, Mr. Hopkins, who not only prepared our food but walked us through the various options for the big day - you can just tell this company really cares about their customers' experience. Everything - the hors d'oeuvres, our dinner stations, our dessert and late-night snack tables - was just top notch. Delicious. Just fuckin' flabbergastingly great food. It's insane. I'm telling you, EVERYONE from my wedding couldn't shut up about the food, and we had a pretty wild live band, but the food stole the show (people didn't even care that I had just been married, THAT'S how amazing this food is). Furthermore, the day-of service was exemplary. Our stations never seemed to run low on any items and yet I didn't see a ton of staff constantly hovering around the stations. They just run a really smooth operation. The servers passing the hors' d'oeuvres were omnipresent during our cocktail hour and one even shadowed my bride and I as we were segregated taking photos, etc., so we didn't miss out on any of the great food either. And the office staff, who we worked with a lot as we figured out our menu and pricing, etc. was always professional and punctual and answered ALL of our many, many questions with patience and detail. We got married at a private residence outdoors, so TSH had to come the day before and set up a tent for food prep, and they still cranked out this amazing food without the aid of a full kitchen. Best food ever! Honestly the most talked about detail about my wedding. Everyone and I mean everyone raved about the food and still to this day! My friends and family said this was not your typical wedding food and made my wedding a stand out! They also said how kind the staff was and Sita my coordinator was amazing. Tim Hopkins Catering is the absolute best. They are the ones to call when you want a worry free, perfectly orchestrated and flawlessly excecuted wedding. Lindsey, our planner was receptive and responsive and when our tent company failed to deliver seat cushions the day before, she somehow found them and had them delivered free of chatge. Most importantly, their food is incredible. We had a backyard wedding with barbecue and fried chicken but they do the everything from casual to black tie. Their food never disappoints and as a professional chef myself, I can say I couldn’t have been more impressed with the every aspect of the dinner. I could not recommend more highly!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! TSH Catering was a pleasure to work with from the start. We booked with Lindsey over a year in advance. Lindsey was our point of contact and made the process easy! Lindsey was always quick to get back to me and even when I didn't know what questions to ask, she always provided us with information and plenty of options. Lindsey sent us various menus to choose from and then we were able to customize to our liking. TSH Catering was so flexible with the menu and accommodating to allergies and picky eaters! (which made my life easier!) Now to the good stuff- the food is INCREDIBLE. We knew instantly at the food tasting that we made the best decision possible. Our guests are non-stop raving about how delicious and creative the food was. Everyone is struggling to choose a favorite between the appetizers and the main meals because everything was mouth-watering. We choose to do stations of beef tenderloin, haddock, and pasta. My husband was so excited about the food, he was determined to eat at the wedding and we did! The staff at the wedding were incredibly nice and attentive. They even came up to the groom and I and asked if we wanted anything (of course- more food!) TSH Catering was truly a pleasure to work with from the planning to the tasting to the day of. They made it easy for us to enjoy the process and the helped make our wedding day perfect. We cannot thank you enough! We would recommend TSH Catering a million times over. 5 MILLION STARS to Tim Hopkins Catering. My wedding wouldn’t have been even close to as incredible if I️t weren’t for these guys! From the planning a year and a half in advance, to answering any and all questions along the way, the team at THC is beyond amazing! We had food stations, one of which included “taste of Ipswich”. I️ am gluten free and also have an issue with foods cooked in oil at a high temperature, the chef made gluten free, fried clams and scallops cooked in coconut oil special for me! As a bride you expect some special treatment but what the THC staff did for me was truly magical, not to mention the decorative talents of Katie Vitalie, THC’s event designer made my dreams come to life with all of her help and creative vision. Tim Hopkins catering is the best, and has always been the best. The food is beyond delicious- there is variety, inspiration and old classics. I keep hearing from our wedding guests how much they loved the food. Beyond the food, every single person on the staff is exceptional. You can't go wrong with Tim Hopkins.

I do not know where to begin. Choosing Tim Hopkins as the caterer for our wedding in August 2017 was one of the absolute best decisions we could have ever made. The entire experience working with THC was amazing, and the food was SO AMAZING. Everyone we worked with from start to finish was so kind, professional and wonderful. Britt, Lindsey, Katie, and Tim listened to our concerns and made us feel totally comfortable about every conversation and decision along the way. They let us have input on the menu but also came to us with creative ideas that definitely made the day special. The tasting alone was one of the best dining experiences we'd ever had and we knew pretty much immediately our day wouldn't be complete with Tim, and after hearing from our guests since our big day, I know they agree. From the passed lemonade and iced tea to start, through the ten varieties of passed appetizers, followed by fresh cooked entrees (I've never seen so many clean plate club members), and ending with a late night grilled cheese snack - it was perfect. Do yourself, and your friends and family a favor, stop looking for a caterer, you have found the best one right here. This team was friendly, professional and accommodating from the minute we started chatting until wrapping up final details following our wedding day. They went above and beyond to ensure the bride and groom were taken care of. But beyond all that, their FOOD. Their food is simply the best. I've been fortunate enough to experience it both at my own wedding and many other events and it literally has never disappointed, never even comes close! Their menus are customizable, innovative and DELICIOUS. Five stars all around.

Impeccable presentation, amazing gourmet food and fabulous service. TSH made our backyard lobster-bake themed cuisine a five star experience. The food stole the show. Each guest I've spoken to has raved about the food insisting that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. TSH was also so great about allergies and meals for the kids. During our pre-wedding meetings our TSH coordinator, Sita, gave us so many options for sides, mains and hors d'oeuvres; it seemed like there was nothing TSH couldn't do! TSH's catering was one of the best parts of our wedding. My now husband and I are big foodies and TSH was the answer to our food dreams. We worked closely with Sita who was amazing. TSH offered so many choices and we ended up choosing stations so our guests would have choices. We also had the best passed hors d'oeuvres I think I have ever tried. TSH Catering was a dream to work with for our 85 person wedding in a tight space in an old building. They seem able to deal with any environment, no matter the challenge. We worked with Britt and she was always positive (no matter how many questions I asked) and she also provided very helpful suggestions and advice. We felt confident in her experience and it certainly came through! We are definitely "foodies" so it was important to us to have a top-notch meal. Our guests we blown away by the presentation, creativity and deliciousness of the food. Many said (and we agree!), TSH Catering provided the BEST wedding meal they had ever had. The groom and I were determined to eat during the reception because we knew how delicious the food would be. Britt and her team made sure to set aside a plate of the hors d'oeuvres for us when we were doing photos during cocktail hour. So thoughtful! We didn't spend a lot of flowers and table decor, keeping it simple, but you wouldn't have known. Britt had such an eye for making a contemporary and elegant table. Overall, TSH Catering was very communicative, responded to questions quickly, offered helpful advice, put together an unforgettable meal for an unforgettable evening, and provided stellar service the day of. BEST FOOD AND SERVICE! We got married this past weekend. We wanted a completely fall menu for our fall themed wedding. Sita and the rest of the Timothy Hopkins staff were amazing from the moment we had our tasting to the end of the night. They ran our whole wedding from start to finish with precision and ease. Sita is absolutely amazing to work with. She answered any and all questions and worked her butt off! Our guests are still raving about the food, especially the filet. We had our son's wedding at Hellenic Center in September, 2016. It was catered by Timothy Hopkins Catering. They were a pleasure to work with! Sita was lovely and always on hand to answer questions and accommodate us. The food is DELICIOUS! Which is the reason we chose to go with Timothy Hopkins in the first place. Their appetizers are beyond compare, truly delicious and plentiful.

Outstanding from initial conception to final implementation! We worked with Sita on an entire wedding weekend: this included a cocktail party and a wedding reception for 100. Everything was beautiful, delicious, perfectly cooked and professionally served. Our guests raved about the food at both of our events. Food was insanely delicious, the short rib melted in your mouth, the heirloom tomato salad was so fresh and light and even though dinner was in the middle of a field outside the food arrived warm perfectly plated. I still have people telling me how much they enjoyed the food at my wedding.

We are so fortunate to have had our wedding reception catered by Hopkins. They were responsive and attentive to our needs and made absolutely sure that they accounted for every allergy in our party. They were flexible in that they allowed you to create a menu (stationary and passed appetizers, family style salads, plated meals) so that you aren’t forced into a menu as other places require. Aside from their incredible attention to detail, their food was absolutely amazing. Our guests were raving about how delicious the food was and its beautiful presentation. On a more practical note, we truly felt that the cost was on par with the portions served. There were an endless amount of appetizers both served and stationed and the meal portions were HUGE. We are very pleased with our experience with Hopkins and highly recommend their services!

We recently had our wedding at bass rocks. The day was absolutely perfect! I wouldn't have changed a thing. They make everything so easy and no stress at all. They took care of everything we asked for no problem! The food was incredible - a month later and people are still talking about it! Instead of a cake I wanted an ice cream social bar and that was amazing as well! Even after the wedding they were nice enough to let us leave stuff behind and come back to get it the next day. We still forgot stuff and they drove it right to my moms house while we were away! Thy go above and beyond in every situation ! I wish I could relive the night again and again! Everything was perfect!

Sita was so easy to work with! It was nice not to have to worry about making sure everything was on schedule during the wedding and reception - I got to enjoy it all! They even had prosecco waiting for my husband and me after the photo session and before we were introduced as "Mr and Mrs." The guests raved about the food especially the lobster salad on a homemade potato chip. UNREAL! SO GOOD! BOOK THEM NOW! I hired TSH for my wedding day 6-25-16. I couldn't be happier with my selection. TSH has amazing customer service (thanks Britt!) and amazing food/food selection! All of our guests kept saying how our food was so fun! It wasn't the traditional things that you see at every wedding time and time again! We would book them over again in a heartbeat! The food at Timothy Hopkins is AMAZING! The service is exceptional, you seriously can't go wrong booking them as your catering service. Our guests can't stop raving about the food they had at our wedding!!! Sita, our coordinator, was also a joy to work with, she was quick to respond to emails, she met me at the event rentals locations to help me pick out linens and she had great advice that helped deliver our wedding vision! THC was so accommodating with each of our requests, we couldn't have asked for better food, staff and service all around!

Timothy S. Hopkins Catering was incredibly professional throughout the process and the food was amazing! Every wedding guest I spoke with afterward complimented the food, in particular the appetizers and presentation. From the first tasting we did with TSH in Essex my mother and I fell in love with the food itself. Classy, stylish, but not stuffy and made with fresh ingredients. My favorite is the lobster salad on a potato chip appetizer. Leading up to the wedding, I coordinated with Sita. She was very responsive via email to all of my questions, in particular about menu choices. She was also very knowledgeable about food allergies which was important to me as there are a few anaphylactic reactions to different foods in my family. On the day of, Kate was our on-site representative and did a fabulous job. She was very confident. I would definitely recommend TSH to any bride!

Tim Hopkins Catering did an amazing job catering the dinner for my daughters September 2015 wedding. It was an outside venue with no kitchen; THC brought everything in. They provided us with a cocktail hour full of unique, delicious and interestingly presented hors d'œuvre’s followed by a gourmet, perfectly prepared and presented (and did I say hot?) meal with finesse and professionalism. They integrated themselves seamlessly into our venue. We are still hearing wonderful comments about how delicious the food was. From start to finish: inquiry, tastings, site visits and execution TSH was superb. Their creative and unique menu suggestions allowed us to serve an interesting selection that suited all our guests, including those with dietary restrictions. We were delighted with TSH and highly recommend them.

We are so happy we chose Timothy S. Hopkins to cater our wedding. It seemed every guest made it a point to tell us how much they loved the food. The hors d'oeuvres were tasty, unique and plentiful. There was always a courteous staff member offering the guests a unique appetizer. One of my guest said he usually leaves weddings hungry, this time he almost didn't save room for the main course. The entrees were hot, perfectly cooked and delicious. The presentation and quality was superb. Tim, Sita and the entire team were passionate, professional and a pleasure to work with.
