They were accommodating to all of our guests' interesting dietary requirements, which was amazing. Everything went so smoothly (at least from my perspective, and isn't that all that matters??). I just need them to open a restaurant because otherwise I'll just be dreaming of that food for the next 60 years.

We had steak and lobster and some of our guests were from Brazil and were used to incredible steaks.. and they said they were the best steaks they have had in the United States. Amber was on top of everything. She had drinks and a tray of all of our apps in our hands before we even entered happy hour. They kept a great pace of the evening and made adjustments as appropriate. The waitstaff and bartenders were kind, accommodating and fun! We have also been told by almost every one of our guests how great everything was. Our guests made a point to comment on how wonderful the staff was. We have also heard things like "the food was insane" and "best food I've ever had at a wedding" (and our guests go to a lot of weddings). Amber even washed and kept track of our wedding flutes and answered my late night frantic email! We will use Timothy Hopkins Catering for all our big events!

menu comprised of Summer classics that were refreshing, light and served cool, because of the clear memory I had of the wedding of my dear Matron of Honour’s wedding, which took place decades past in Richmond, VA, on quite possibly one of the most humid days on record. Beverley had a delicious and refreshing menu at her wedding celebration too, served in a similar style. Timothy S. Hopkins Catering of Essex, MA delivered the most creative wedding menu options and services for our relaxed, buffet-style luncheon, served midday under a tent. Everyone we spoke with from THC was always so friendly, patient, most professional, and kind. Some examples of most tempting hors d’oeuvres we chose included the Raspberry and Brie Phyllos, Maple Glazed Scallops and Bacon, Lobster Salad on Homemade Potato Chips, and Sweet Plantain Cups Filled with Mango Salsa. Everything was beautifully presented, most delicious and disappeared quickly. For our main course(s), we offered our guests the options of delicious, Chilled, Sliced Tenderloin of Beef with a Trio of Sauces: Horseradish Cream, Wasabi Cream and Ancho Aioli; plus Olive Oil Poached Salmon with Dill Sauce. We added the vegan option of Spiralized Vegetable Salad with Zucchini, Summer Squash, Carrots with Chickpeas and Lemon Tahini Vinaigrette; and had a platter or two of Shaved Brussels Sprouts, Grilled Seasonal Vegetables and delicious Fingerling Potatoes. In addition to the wedding cake(s), THC provided delectable Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and tempting Chocolate Mousse Cups. Nothing was left. It was as if all the seagulls maneuvering along the beach had attended our wedding too. Many of our more senior attendees told us it was the best food they had ever experienced at a wedding! Hurrah, Hooray! Six months later we are still hearing the accolades. From start to finish, everything was great. Most legitimately the best caterer on the North Shore.

The day prior to the event Paul and Sam, Tim Hopkin’s “day of event coordinators” visited our wedding venue location and spent an hour with us confirming the details and helping us iron out the last remaining open items. On the day of the wedding, Sam and his team arrived early to ensure everything was ready for when our guests arrived. Their well-seasoned bartender made the night roll smoothly. The clam chowder before dinner was a hit and Sam’s team did a great job managing the Island Creek raw bar set up. Sam was amazing on his feet during the after party and his team was polite, friendly, and most important VERY COVID-safe. We highly recommend Tim Hopkins for their all-around service for anyone’s future weddings. Sita, Paul, Sam, Tim – thank you for all of your hard work and amazing job!

ur expectations....everything was wonderful, from the food to the service ,the presentation ...I cant explain how great everything was ! We had a plated dinner for 62 outside on the ocean and they executed it perfectly ,it was a 90 degree day and they cooked outside under a tent and the p staff was so incredibly delightful and prompt !.....I cant express how wonderful the food and service was ! I would highly recommend them for any event and I will continue to use them for any event I may have in the future !

Hopkins Catering blew us completely out of the water, and my bride and I knew what to expect because they had already hosted us to a sumptuous and generous tasting appointment before we had even booked them! At our tasting, we got to meet the man himself, Mr. Hopkins, who not only prepared our food but walked us through the various options for the big day - you can just tell this company really cares about their customers' experience. Everything - the hors d'oeuvres, our dinner stations, our dessert and late-night snack tables - was just top notch. Delicious. Just fuckin' flabbergastingly great food. It's insane. I'm telling you, EVERYONE from my wedding couldn't shut up about the food, and we had a pretty wild live band, but the food stole the show (people didn't even care that I had just been married, THAT'S how amazing this food is). Furthermore, the day-of service was exemplary. Our stations never seemed to run low on any items and yet I didn't see a ton of staff constantly hovering around the stations. They just run a really smooth operation. The servers passing the hors' d'oeuvres were omnipresent during our cocktail hour and one even shadowed my bride and I as we were segregated taking photos, etc., so we didn't miss out on any of the great food either. And the office staff, who we worked with a lot as we figured out our menu and pricing, etc. was always professional and punctual and answered ALL of our many, many questions with patience and detail. We got married at a private residence outdoors, so TSH had to come the day before and set up a tent for food prep, and they still cranked out this amazing food without the aid of a full kitchen. Most importantly, their food is incredible. We had a backyard wedding with barbecue and fried chicken but they do the everything from casual to black tie. Lindsey sent us various menus to choose from and then we were able to customize to our liking. TSH Catering was so flexible with the menu and accommodating to allergies and picky eaters! Our guests are non-stop raving about how delicious and creative the food was. Everyone is struggling to choose a favorite between the appetizers and the main meals because everything was mouth-watering. We choose to do stations of beef tenderloin, haddock, and pasta. My husband was so excited about the food, he was determined to eat at the wedding and we did! The staff at the wedding were incredibly nice and attentive. They even came up to the groom and I and asked if we wanted anything (of course- more food!) TSH Catering was truly a pleasure to work with from the planning to the tasting to the day of. They made it easy for us to enjoy the process and the helped make our wedding day perfect. We cannot thank you enough! We would recommend TSH Catering a million times over. I️ am gluten free and also have an issue with foods cooked in oil at a high temperature, the chef made gluten free, fried clams and scallops cooked in coconut oil special for me! As a bride you expect some special treatment but what the THC staff did for me was truly magical, not to mention the decorative talents of Katie Vitalie, THC’s event designer made my dreams come to life with all of her help and creative vision. The tasting alone was one of the best dining experiences we'd ever had and we knew pretty much immediately our day wouldn't be complete with Tim, and after hearing from our guests since our big day, I know they agree. From the passed lemonade and iced tea to start, through the ten varieties of passed appetizers, followed by fresh cooked entrees (I've never seen so many clean plate club members), and ending with a late night grilled cheese snack - it was perfect. Do yourself, and your friends and family a favor, stop looking for a caterer, you have found the best one right here.
